SONYA DEVILLE NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2023-03-03 11:11:00

For those who have asked, we are told that WWE has not removed Sonya Deville from the road and she is still scheduled to make all of her appearances for the company.

As we noted a few days ago, there is no heat on her regarding her arrest in Atlantic City, NJ as the company was well aware she had applied and received a permit to carry a gun after the incident several years ago when a stalker (now commited to a mental facility) tracked down her home and broke in, requiring Deville and Mandy Rose to flee and call Florida police.  The issue at hand is that Deville's permit did not carry over to New Jersey.  The gun was locked in her car in the glove compartment and was not being carried around freely.

Deville is slated for a court appearance later this month.

She is also advertised to wrestle Charlotte Flair on 3/12 in Madison Square Garden.

The Atlantic City Police Department issued the following statement:

Woman Arrested for Possession of a Handgun

For Immediate Release: March 1, 2023

On February 19, 2023, patrol units were called to the Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa for a report of a valet employee discovering a handgun in a vehicle that had been valet parked. Responding officers arrived to find the owner of the vehicle, Daria Berenato, on scene and cooperating with security. Berenato admitted to being the owner of the handgun and provided responding officers a permit to carry from out of state that is not valid in New Jersey. Berenato was taken into custody without incident and released on a summons pending a future court date.

ARRESTED: Daria Berenato, 29, of [Removed by PWInsider for obvious reasons], FL.

CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon.

Berenato was issued a summons pending a future court date. The public is reminded that charges are mere allegations, and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
