FORMER WWE TOUGH ENOUGH WINNER SARA LEE PASSES AWAY

By Mike Johnson on 2022-10-06 16:49:00

PWInsider.com is sad to report the passing of former WWE Tough Enough winner Sara Ann Weston, who won the competition in 2015 under her maiden name of Sara Lee.  Weston's mother made the sad announcement this afternoon:

Lee earned a $250,000 one year contract with WWE in late August 2015 via her TE victory.  Lee, who entered the competition with a powerlifting background but was a novice to professional wrestling, was overwhelmingly popular with viewers of the show and voted the winner.  She wrestled and lost to Alicia Fox that evening, making it her lone televised WWE bout.   Lee had not made her official NXT TV debut at the time of her September 2016 release from the company, but had been working live events, including some work as a heel.

PWInsider.com does not yet have any additional details on Lee's passing.   She was only 30 years old and the mother to several young children, making this news even more tragic.

PWInsider.com sends our deepest condolences to Sara's husband Cory "Wesley Blake" Westin, their family and their friends.
