OLIVER LUCK VS. VINCE MCMAHON LAWSUIT OFFICIALLY DISMISSED, ORTON TATTOOS TRIAL SET FOR SEPTEMBER

By Mike Johnson on 2022-07-15 13:59:00

The Oliver Luck vs. Vince McMahon lawsuit was officially dismissed with prejudice on 6/29 in the United States District Court of Connecticut.  The ruling from the judge noted each party will bearing their own costs and fees.  The two sides came to a confidential settlement.

The lawsuit brought by tattoo artist Catherine Alexander against World Wrestling Entertainment, Take-Two Interactive Software, 2K Games, Inc., 2K Sports, Inc., Visual Concepts Entertainment, Yuke’s Co., Ltd. and Yuke’s LA Inc. will go before The U.S. District Court Southern District of Illinois on 9/26.  As PWInsider.com has covered over the last several years, the lawsuit, initially filed in April 2018, alleges that all of Alexander's tattoo work on WWE star Randy Orton are her original designs that Alexander owns.  Alexander has stated that she has never given any of the defendants permission to recreate them in the WWE-licensed videogames, therefore the defendants have all allegedly infringed on her copyrights.
