WWE has a Friday Night Smackdown taping booked for 9/23 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
That is very interesting timing as WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg's first-ever match on WCW Nitro took place on 9/22/97 in Salt Lake City with a win over Hugh Morrus (Bill Demott)
Whether WWE incorporates the 25th anniversary of Goldberg's debut into that taping or whether this is all a genuine coincidence remains to be seen.
Goldberg last wrestled for WWE at the 2022 Elimination Chamber, losing to Roman Reigns.
