BAD NJPW INJURY NEWS, NAITO UPDATE, DDT, NOAH, ZERO1 AND MORE FROM JAPAN

New Japan Pro Wrestling

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced today that Hiromu Takahashi will miss the next six months due to a left pectoral injury.

Takahashi currently holds the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship and losing him is a major blow for New Japan.

However, it is not all bad news as Tetsuya Naito will return at New Japan’s final Road to Castle Attack tour show on February 25.

Naito has missed the last four tour shows due to a right knee injury. He is scheduled to challenge Kota Ibushi for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship at Castle Attack on February 28.

New Japan held its seventh Road to Castle Attack tour show today in Korakuen Hall.

The full results were:

• Great-O-Khan, Jeff Cobb and Will Ospreay def. Gabriel Kidd, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Hiroyoshi Tenzan
• Hirooki Goto, SHO, Toru Yano and YOSHI-HASHI def. Chase Owens, Jado, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa
• El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori def. BUSHI and Shingo Takagi
• SANADA def. Tomoaki Honma
• EVIL and Jay White def. Kazuchika Okada and Tomohiro Ishii

El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru attacked El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori after the third match and established themselves as the next challengers for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.

All Japan Pro Wrestling

All Japan Pro Wrestling will hold its final Excite Series tour show in Korakuen Hall tomorrow.

The full card is:

• Alejandro and Francesco Akira vs. Izanagi and Zeus

The full field for this year’s Champion Carnival tournament will be announced during tomorrow’s show. Kenta Kobashi will also be a guest at the show.

The winner of Atsuki Aoyagi and Rising HAYATO versus Dan Tamura and Hikaru Sato versus Hokuto Omori and Yusuke Kodama will be the next challengers for the All Asia Tag Team Championships, currently held by Izanagi and Zeus. The title match will take place on March 8.

Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi will attempt their first defense of the World Tag Team Championships against Abdullah Kobayashi and Daisuke Sekimoto. The match is a rematch from the first night of last year’s Real World Tag League when Kobayashi pinned Miyahara.

SUWAMA will attempt his sixth defense of the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship against Kohei Sato in the main event.

DDT Pro-Wrestling

DDT Pro-Wrestling will hold a show in Nagoya tomorrow.

Kazusada Higuchi and Yukio Sakaguchi will attempt their second defense of the KO-D Tag Team Championships against Konosuke Takeshita and MAO.

Big Japan Pro Wrestling will hold a show in Shin-Kiba 1st Ring tomorrow.

Pro Wrestling ZERO1

Kotaro Suzuki is shown on the poster for Pro Wrestling ZERO1’s show on March 20 in Kumamoto Mori Toshin Plaza Hall.

Suzuki wrestled on ZERO1’s show in the same venue on March 16, 2019. Next month’s show will be his first appearance in ZERO1 since then.
