ROYAL RUMBLE PRODUCTION UPDATES

By Mike Johnson on 2021-02-02 14:31:00

There have been rumors floating around that Vince McMahon was not present at the 2021 Royal Rumble.  It is correct that he was not physically present as he was said to be attending to a personal matter but McMahon watched the event via the WWE Network and was in constant conversation with WWE officials and "directing traffic" via phone.  It was not a case of McMahon not being involved with the active production of the show.  Triple H was also present at the PPV.

Michael Hayes produced the Last Man Standing match with Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens.

Chris "Abyss" Park produced the WWE Championship match.

TJ Wilson produced Sasha Banks vs. Carmella.

The Men's Rumble was produced by a team that included Shane McMahon, Jason Jordan and Jamie Noble, among others.

The Women's Rumble was produced by a team that included Adam Pearce, TJ Wilson and Pat Buck, among others.

We have not confirmed who produced the WWE Women's Tag Team title bout that was held on the Kickoff Show.

The 24/7 title change with Peter Rosenberg was simply an idea to get the WWE brand seen on The Michael Kay Show which airs on the YES Network to put them in front of mainstream sports fans.
