We begin with a look back at what happened during the main event of NXT and Karrion Kross' attack in the back.
We are at Full Sail University and your announcers are Mauro Ranallo, Vic Joseph, and Beth Phoenix.
Match Number One: Karrion Kross (with Scarlett) versus Danny Burch (with Oney Lorcan)
Burch attacks Kross as the bell rings and then he clotheslines Kross over the top rope to the floor. Kross picks up Burch by the throat and choke slams him to the floor. They return to the floor and Kross kicks Burch in the head. Burch with a punch and Kross with an exploder. Kross runs into a boot from Burch and Burch with a kick in the corner. Burch with a missile drop kick and German suplex. Kross with a forearm to Burch that backs Burch into the turnbuckles. Burch with a German suplex and clothesline for a near fall. Burch with a crossface and Kross tries to escape by rolling through but Burch holds on.
Kross picks up Burch and hits the Doomsday Saito on Burch. Burch swings at Kross but misses and lands on the mat. Kross with the Kross Jacket and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Karrion Kross
After the match, Keith Lee's music plays and he makes his way to the ring and he has a contract in his hands, but Kross leaves the ring.
Keith says he is not surprised at all. You say this is on me, but Kross, this is on you. I offered you to join me in the ring and earn your shot. You have proven to be the little bitch you are and have avoided me. Keith says he begged William Regal that he would not put his hands on Kross until Takeover if he gives him the match. Lee says he has signed it and so has Regal. All it needs is your punk ass name on it.
Scarlett takes the contract and Kross signs it without reading the contract.
Scarlett kiss the contract before sliding it back to Lee.
Lee picks up the contract and he opens it and a fireball goes off in Lee's face.
Officials and the medical staff check on Lee and Keith wants to know where Kross is.
While they check on Keith Lee in the back, we go to action in the ring.
Match Number Two: Drake Maverick versus Killian Dain
Maverick avoids Dain when Dain wants to lock up. Dain tosses Drake into the corner but Drake escapes and he punches Dain. Dain picks up Maverick for a slam but Drake escapes and he kicks Dain in the leg. Maverick with forearms and kicks to the leg while Keith Lee is helped into an ambulance. Back in the ring, Drake is down as Dain stands over him. Dain with a kick to the hamstring. Dain wraps the leg in the ropes. Mia Yim has joined Keith at the ambluance while Maverick kicks Dain. Dain with a clothesline.
Dain with a slam but he charges into the corner and is met with a boot. Dain has Maverick by the throat but Maverick escapes and Drake with a drop kick. Meanwhile, Lee is driven away in an ambulance. The Undisputed Era have made their way in the space taken by the ambulance.
Back in the ring, Maverick with a senton off the turnbuckles onto Dain on the floor. They return to the ring and Drake goes up top and hits an elbow drop.
The Undsiputed Era attack Dain and Maverick so the referee calls for the bell.
No Contest
After the match, Strong with a jumping knee to Dain while Cole hits a super kick on Maverick. Kyle and Bobby with the high and low combination to Dain. Cole with the Last Shot to Dain.
Adam Cole takes the mic and he tells Pat that he knows he is watching. He tells Pat to listen to him. You want to come to my world and play wrestler? You kicked me with my arms behind my back. That is not special. What is special is that I am the longest reigning champion in NXT history. At Takeover XXX, you are stepping into the ring with That Guy. I dare you to show up next week. If you have the guts, I want you to walk down that ramp, walk into this ring so I can tell you man to man that I will whoop your ass at Takeover.
When you realize that you are in way over your head, it will suck for you to know that there is nothing you can do about it.
We take a look at what Legado Del Fantasma did to Fandango.
We are back with comments from KUSHIDA about his chance to be part of the ladder match at Takeover. He says he will seize glory at Takeover.
Match Number Three: Santos Escobar (with Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza) versus Tyler Breeze in a Non Title Match
Santos tells Raul and Joaquin he has it and sends them to the back.
Breeze with forearms while Escobar backs Breeze into the corner and connects with punches and kicks. Escobar with a drop kick. Escobar stomps on Breeze's hand and then he kicks Breeze in the chest. Escobar with more kicks. Breeze with a drop kick and Escobar goes to the floor. Breeze follows him to the floor and then Escobar with a running shoulder tackle to the knee. Escobar presses Breeze and drops him on the apron and hits a clothesline as we go to commercial.
We are back and Escobar with a chin lock. Escobar with a punch and reverse atomic drop. Escobar with a jumping knee to Breeze. Escobar gets Breeze on his shoulders but Breeze escapes and sends Escobar to the floor. Breeze with forearms to Escobar followed by a thrust kick. Breeze with an Irish whip and forearm into the corner. Breeze with a kick and super kick.
Wilde and Mendoza make their way to ringside and he takes care of Mendoza and Wilde. Escobar with the Phantom Driver for the three count.
Winner: Santos Escobar
After the match, Fandango comes to the ring wtih a cane and he hits Wilde and Mendoza. Escobar with an enzuigiri and then they attack Fandango.
Isaiah Scott comes to the ring and he punches Escobar. Escobar gets out of the ring with his title before Scott can do any more damage.
Dakota Kai says she will let you in on a secret. Everyone thinks Io Shirai is the best, but I have figured out how to beat her. The best part of success is getting inside your opponent's head. I am inside Io's head and she is in Dakota Territory now. I have outsmarted your so called genius. I have done everything on my own to get where I am. I don't need friends, former friends, enemies, associates, or insurance policies. At Takeover XXX, I beat Io Shirai and your captain becomes the new NXT Women's Champion.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Ridge Holland says last week, the world was introduced to him and the hype was real. My second chance match is against Johnny Gargano and I will win.
Mia Yim is asked about Keith's condition. She says she barely got back in time for her match but Keith is going to be okay.
Match Number Four: Indi Hartwell versus Mia Yim.
They lock up and Mia with a side head lock and wrist lock. Mia with a hammer lock but Indi stomps on the foot and applies a side head lock. Hartwell with a shoulder tackle. Mia with a leg trip and drop kick. Mia with a Yakuza Kick followed by a cannonball for a near fall. Indi kicks Mia in the corner and punches her. Mia with a chop and forearms. Indi with a side slam for a near fall. Indi with a reverse chin lock. Mia gets Indi on her back and she hits a backpack stunner. Indi returns to the reverse chin lock. Indi with a running back elbow and kicks for a near fall.
Indi pie faces MIa and Mia with chops. Indi slaps Mia and connects with a knee. Mia with a double leg take down and forearms. Mia with drop kicks and a neck breaker. MIa with a German suplex. Mia with a body scissors rollup into a wrist lock submission and Indi taps out.
Winner: MIa Yim
Finn Balor says first it was opportunities and now it is second chances. He does not have to politick. It does not matter if you are 18, 49, or in a retirement home, you are going to watch the Prince. Whoever is left over after tonight will be easy pickings for Finn Balor next week, the next North American Champion.
We see Bronson Reed and Damian Priest because their match is next.
