We begin with a look back at the events leading to the Eye for an Eye Match at Extreme Rules.
We are at the WWE Performance Center and your announcers are Tom Phillips, Samoa Joe, and Byron Saxton.
Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring with Buddy Murphy.
Tom gives us a medical update on Rey Mysterio.
Seth mentions globe luxation. He says it means that Rey Mysterio's eye came out of its socket. Seth says he wants to be honest and he says going into the match, he knew what the stipulation entailed. Seth says it was understood that you had to remove your opponent's eye from its socket, but what happened last night will stay with him for the rest of his life. Seth says the image of Rey holding his bloody eye in his hands will stay with him forever. It was more than he expected and it made him figuratively and literally sick to his stomach.
Seth says he was asked if he regrets what happened last night. Seth says he has to ask you "do you regret what you have done to me?" This was not his decision. YOU were the ones who made him the Monday Night Messiah. You made me the person you now refer to as a monster. Do you regret what you have done to him and by proxy, what you have done to Rey and his family. Seth says Rey is the one who picked the stipulation. Actions have consequences.
What happened to Rey Mysterio last night was ugly and unfortunate. We cannot afford to dwell in the past. The beauty in all of this is that Rey Mysterio is out of sight. Rey is out of sight and Monday Night Raw is free to fulfill it's potential. The greater good of the show can happen and there is no one left to stand in the way of the greater good.
Aleister Black's music plays and he makes his way to the stage.
Black tells Seth not to deflect any of this blame away from yourself. You orchestrated this and it is on your hands. Black says he is here to rectify all of this.
Buddy tries to attack Black on the ramp but Black with a round kick to the chest.
Black is pulled out of the ring by Murphy but Black sends Murphy into the ringside barrier a few times and then Black kicks Murphy against the plexiglass. Black with more kicks and he sends Murphy over the announce table.
We go to commercial.
Match Number One: Seth Rollins (with Buddy Murphy) versus Aleister Black
The match is joined in progress and Rollins with kicks and punches. Rollins kicks Black in the corner and chokes him. Rollins with shoulders in the corner. Rollins is warned by the referee. Black with a kick to the midsection followed by punches and kicks in the corner. Black with a back elbow and Rollins goes to the floor. Black follows and he punches Rollins. Black sends Rollins into the apron and he punches Rollins. Black backs Rollins into the ring post and Black punches the ring post when Rollins moves.
Rollins sends Black into the announce table and then Rollins hits Slingblade. Rollins with a knee drop. Rollins wraps the arm in the ropes and kicks the arm. Rollins with a kick to the arm. Rollins with a snap mare and kick to the back for a near fall. Rollins gets a near fall. Rollins kicks Black in the ribs. Rollins tries for a ripcord move but Black ducks and connects with a forearm and kicks. Rollins goes for a suplex but Black lands on his feet and Rollins goes over the top rope to the floor. Rollins springboards over Black but Black with kicks and a leg sweep. Black with a sliding kick to the head. Black knocks Murphy off the apron and Black misses a quebrada when Rollins moves. Black avoids Black Out and Black hits Rollins with Black Mass.
Murphy comes into the ring and Black with a kick. Rollins rolls to the floor and Murphy goes after Black again and Black with Black Mass to Murphy.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Black with a round kick to the chest. Black with another kick to the chest. Black with another kick to the chest and Rollins goes down again. Black lifts Rollins up and Rollins with a rollup for a near fall. Black misses Black Mass and Rollins with a super kick followed by a second one. Seth calls for help from Buddy but Buddy is down against the announce table. Rollins goes up top and Black with a forearm to stop him. Black sets for a superplex but Rollins grabs the arm. Black with punches to knock Rollins off the turnbuckles but Rollins holds on to the arm and drops it on the top rope. Rollins with springboard move but Black moves.
Black with a round kick and Rollins with an arm wringer and Black Out. Rollins gets the three count.
Winner: Seth Rollins
After the match, Rollins looks back at the ring and he tells Murphy to attack Black. Murphy punches Black and Rollins joins in.
Rollins throws Black out of the ring and Murphy sends Black into the ringside barrier and plexiglass and ringside barrier. Buddy asks Black how is his arm and then Seth tells Black if he keeps doing this and then Rollins wrings the arm into the ring post. Rollins with an arm wringer on the floor.
Seth wants to know when is enough enough. Rollins slams the arm onto the announce table.
Rollins asks if you think he wants to do this. Seth asks Black who is here to help him and then Rollins says it is him and he stomps on Black's arm.
Tom Phillips mentions Apollo Crews' health and how he was not cleared to compete at Extreme Rules. We see what MVP did to take advantage of the situation.
Ron Simmons asks Lashley and MVP to think about what he said. There is a better way.
R Truth shows up and MVP says he wants to talk to him.
Truth tells MVP he has a nice replica belt. MVP says it is legit. Truth says Apollo is the real champ and MVP says he is the champ. Truth plays along with MVP. MVP asks R Truth to join him and Bobby in the ring.
Truth says no because he does not want Lashley to give him a Nelson from the Simpsons. Lashley says it is a full nelson and a referee shows up.
Shelton Benjamin with a super kick and a three count.
MVP asks the new 24/7 Champion if he wants to join him and Lashey in the ring.
We go to commercial.
We are back and MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin are in the ring.
MVP says last night he became the new United States Champion and he did it without breaking a sweat. A few weeks ago, Bobby Lashley rag dolled Apollo Crews so badly he decided to stay home and nurse his wounds instead of being the fighting champion he said he would be. MVP says he makes history and his victory was a foregone conclusion. It would not have mattered if Apollo showed up or not. When they are done with Ricochet and Cedric Alexander, we are going to go to the After Party and celebrate the championship gold.
Cedric says we are looking at a coward who couldn't win a title. Ricochet says MVP has been hiding behind Bobby Lashley. They say they will win a title again and they will do it on their own.
MVP says he looks in the ring and sees three men and he sees two kids who should be at catering. MVP tells Ricochet and Cedric to pick any two of them.
Cedric and Ricochet say they have a tag team partner, who is making his return to Raw.
Ricochet says after tonight, you three will be full of humble pie thanks to Mustafa Ali.
Match Number Two: Ricochet, Mustafa Ali, and Cedric Alexander versus Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin)
Lashley goes after Alexander and Ricochet and Ali with a super kick to Lashley. Ricochet and Alexander send MVP and Benjamin to the floor and we go to commercial.
Ricochet and Lashley start things off and Ricochet with a forearm and punches. Lashley sends Ricochet into the corner and Alexander tags in. Alexander with a back heel kick and forearm followed by a chop. Lashley clotheslines Alexander and sends him into the turnbuckles. Lashley chokes Alexander in the corner. Benjamin tags in and he punches Alexander. MVP tags in and he punches Alexander. MVP with knees and a slam. MVP with a knee drop for a near fall. MVP with a waist lock and Alexander with elbows. MVP with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.
Benjamin tags in and he punches Alexander but Cedric with a chop. Benjamin with a clothesline and chop. Benjamin gets a near fall. Benjamin kicks Alexander and tags in Lashley. Lashley with a delayed vertical suplex. Lashley sets for a shoulder in the corner and hits it. MVP tags in and he hits a Yakuza kick. MVP goes for the Ballin Elbow and hits it. MVP gets a near fall. MVP punches Alexander and gets a near fall. MVP with a boot for a near fall.
Benjamin tags in and kicks Alexander. Alexander with a kick and Ricochet tags in and they hit a series of kicks on Benjamin. Ali with a slingshot senton and kick to Benjamin.
We go to commercial.
