WWE RAW REPORT: WOMEN'S TAG TITLE MATCH AMONG THE GRUDGES, DOLPH IS MUM ON THE STIPULATION, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2020-07-13 23:00:00

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring.

Seth says an eye for an eye.  An eye for an eye.  Seth continues to repeat Eye for an Eye.  What does that mean?  Seth says he knows what it means.  When Rey said it last week, he thought it was a metaphor for revenge.  He says he has come to understand that Rey meant it literally.  Seth says he is trying to comprehend and understand how they got to this point.  Seth says he is trying to lead Raw to a brighter future.  Rey has stood in the way of the greater good at all times.  Now he is competing in a match at Extreme Rules where the only way to win is to pluck your opponent's eye ball out of the socket.  There has never been a match sanctioned that is this bariatric.

Seth says he needs everyone to understand that never meant to harm Rey Mysterio.  That was never the intention.  Rey presented himself to Seth at a time of need and Seth says he fulfilled the prophecy for the Greater Good.  You asked me to be the leader.  This year, Extreme Rules is called the Horror Show and that is exactly what it is going to be.  Rey has forced his hand for the last time.  He will be forced to rip, tear, and gouge until Rey is blind.  Rey will never watch his son get married.  Rey will never get to see his wife's face again.  He will never see another sunrise or another sunset.  Extreme Rules will be the end of Rey Mysterio.

In many ways it will be a new beginning.

Kevin Owens interrupts Seth's sermon.

Kevin says he is not sorry to interrupt Seth.  Last week, when I came up with the idea of having the winning team select the stipulation, I thought Rey would choose a Last Man Standing Match or a Cage match to keep your buddies out of the way.  Then Rey chose an Eye for an Eye Match.  Kevin says Seth was such a scumbag to make a man who is respected by everyone in the industry because he is one of the best and a genuine nice guy and someone people look up to.  You got Rey to want to gouge your eyes out.  Kevin says he understands where Rey is coming from.  Kevin says he was willing to end his career at Wrestlemania if it meant to shut up Seth.

Kevin says he has Seth covered.  After Rey is done at Extreme Rules, he is friends with a pirate by the name of Jean Pierre Lafitte and here is an eye patch.

Seth has Buddy Murphy come out and he is stopped by Aleister Black.  They fight at ringside as we go to commercial.

Match Number Three;  Aleister Black (with Kevin Owens) versus Buddy Murphy (with Seth Rollins) in an Impromptu Previously Announced Grudge Match

After the match, Owens goes after Rollins and then Rey Mysterio's music plays and he comes to the ring with his son Dominick.

Match Number Four:  Seth Rollins versus Kevin Owens (with Aleister Black, Rey Mysterio, and Dominick Mysterio) in a Wrestlemania Rematch Grudge Match Match

Rollins goes to the floor when the bell rings but he has to get back into the ring because there is no escape.  Owens punches Rollins and then kicks him in the hamstring.  Rollins with a Michaels Flip in the corner followed by a kick from Owens.  Owens with a back senton for a near fall.  Rollins begs for mercy and Owens kicks Rollins.  Owens with an Irish whip and he runs into a boot.  Black distracts Rollins on the turnbuckles and Owens with a clothesline into the corner followed by a cannonball.

Owens stretches Rollins.  Rollins kicks Owens but Owens kicks Rollins back.  Owens sends Rollins to the floor.  Rollins looks around and sees no way around the ring so he gets back on the apron and Owens with a punch.  Rollins with a knee and he sends Owens to the floor.  Black protects Owens from Rollins.  Dominick joins Black to be a human shield and Owens with a punch.  Owens sends Rollins into the ringside barrier.  Owens chops Rollins.  Rollins hides behind Byron and Owens sends Seth back into the ring.

Seth goes to the floor again and Owens with punches to Rollins.  Owens sends Rollins into the apron and ringside barrier.  Owens breaks the count and he goes to the apron but Rollins jumps back to the apron and Owens with punches.  Rollins gets back into the ring and Owens with a head butt.  Rollins with a leg sweep and a suicide dive.

Rollins with a forearm and he sets for a power bomb but Owens with a back body drop and Rollins lands on his feet.  Owens with a super kick for a near fall.  Owens with a DDT for a near fall.  Rollins gets a boot up to stop Owens and Rollins with a flatliner into the turnbuckles followed by a Blockbuster for a near fall.  Owens blocks a kick and hits a super kick.  Rollins escapes a pop up power bomb and Rollins with a super kick for a near fall.  Owens avoids Black Out and Rollins avoids a stunner.  Rollins is sent to the apron and he connects with a forearm.  Rollins goes up top and Owens with a forearm.

Owens sets for a superplex but Rollins blocks it and punches Owens and rakes the eyes.  Rollins sets for Black Out but Black gets on the apron to distract Rollins.  Dominick gets on the apron and Rollins is distracted.  Rey does the same thing.  Owens with a kick and stunner by the PERSON HE IS WRESTLING and Owens gets the three count.

Winner:  Kevin Owens

After the match, Rey tells Seth that he tried to end his career, terrorize his family, and touch his son.  You crossed every line.  Sunday, it will be my turn.  I will make a sacrifice of my own.  You are walking into our match with two eyes, but you will be carried out with only one.

Big Show is with Ric Flair and he tells Flair they need to talk.  Flair reminds Show of his retirement and how people said he talked too long.  I have been doing this for 48 years and 20 of them were with you.  When I think about wrestling the big guys like Hansen, Brody, and Andre, the one with the most skill was you.  You have unparalleled coordination but you have lost focus.  You can't do Hollywood and wrestle.  That is why the Rock hasn't come back.  You don't need this.  You want to be everything the world thinks you are.  People won't change their mind about you.  You should go into the Hall of Fame healthy, not with an injury due to Randy Orton.

Orton is the best right now and he has that confidence.  It isn't too late for you to say goodbye.

Show tells Flair he knows what Ric tried to do.  You are a master at it.  You are the dirtiest player in the game.  I know what you have done to Randy Orton.  He has never been more vicious or dangerous.  He might be the best the WWE has ever seen.  I know what he has done to Edge and Christian.  Tonight, he faces one of our friends, R Truth.  Are you willing to sacrifice your friendships so Randy Orton can be the legend killer.  Think about that.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at how Randy Orton became the Legend Killer.

Randy Orton is in the back and he says you are lucky if you make it out of this industry with a handful of friends.  He had those friends and he bonded with them up and down the road.  They laughed, bled, and fought together.  He had Edge.  He had Christian.  He had the Big Show.  He has Ric Flair.  Edge came back at the Royal Rumble and all he had to do was step into the ring and be Rated RKO, but Edge couldn't trust him that he knew what was best for Edge.  To be a father and a husband and nurse that tricep injury.  Then Christian came to Raw to defend the honor of his friend.  There is nothing wrong with that but Christian selfishly accepted his challenge for one more match, an unsanctioned match.

You have Big Show.  They have history together.  He has known Show for 20 years.  Show was one of the first to take him under his wing.  Show showed him around the locker room and how things worked.  Why would he worry about a few fractured skulls to end their friendship.  Ric Flair is like family . . . he is family.  It would be a shame if Ric did anything to jeopardize what they have.

As far as my match goes and my opponent goes.  R Truth has his respect.  Truth has made everyone laugh and smile.  It will be a shame when all Truth amounts to is one more chapter in the Legend Killer.

Ric Flair shows up and Flair tells him it is his time.

Orton tells Flair he will be right behind him.

We go to commercial.
