We are back and NXT Men's Champion Adam Cole makes his way to the ring.
Adam says he has been champion for 381 days and he has not taken one of them for granted because he is the hardest working person in NXT. Everyone who has tried to come after him have failed. People think they can get a shot at his title.
Look at Karrion Kross. He came up at Takeover and had an impressive performance. He beat one of the baddest man in NXT in Tommaso Ciampa but been there, done that. Kross has a long way to go until he earns a shot to face him.
That brings him to Keith Lee. Keith has his eyes on a title but so does Adam. He says he has his eyes on the North American Championship. Maybe he wants to have two championships? After he beats Keith, you can refer to him as Champ Champ Bay Bay.
Keith Lee's music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Before Keith can talk, Johnny Gargano's music plays and he makes his way to the stage.
Johnny says this is a cool moment between the two of you. Johnny says he does not care about moments. He cares about results. He pinned Keith last week. Johnny says he is coming after that North American Championship. Why stop there? I am the first Triple Crown Champion in NXT history. It is time for him to get the title reign he deserves. Him and Candice will be the first married couple to be champions at the same time.
Keith asks Johnny how is Candice. Keith says he was more concerned about Candice than Johnny was. Keith says last week, Candice told Keith thank you because that wsa the most action she has had in a year.
We have more music and Finn Balor makes his way to the ring.
Finn says you can stop being marks for yourself and be a mark for him. Finn tells Keith he has held titles all over the world but the North American Championship is one that he never held.
Johnny asks Finn if he was a Triple Crown Champion.
Finn tells Johnny he doesn't wait in line like him, he goes to the front. Finn tells Keith he is taking his title and he is coming right for Adam Cole. Finn calls Adam a nice transitiional champion.
Adam says Finn is on top for a while and then Cole says he shows up and passes you by.
William Regal appears on the GameTron and he says he loves this. Regal says next week Keith Lee defends his North American title against Finn Balor and Johnny Gargano for the North American Title. Then the winner faces Adam Cole on July 8t in a Champion versus Champion Winner Takes All Match.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Keith Lee is asked about William Regal's announcement but Candice LeRae interrupts and Mia shows up behind Candice and Mia sends Candice into some storage bins. They continue to fight as referees try to break it up.
Match Number Four: Kayden Carter (with Kacy Catanzaro) versus Dakota Kai (with Raquel Gonzalez)
Carter with a take down and punches. Carter with a cross body and punches. Kai with a waist lock and Carter with a standing switch and rollup for a near fall. Carter with a springboard drop kick. Kai goes to the floor. Carter goes to the floor and Gonzalez runs interference. Carter stops Kai from attacking her from behind. Kai with a scorpion kick for a near fall. Kai pie faces Carter but Carter with forearms to Kai. Carter with a drop kick. Carter with a victory roll into a thrust kick for a near fall.
Kai with an Irish whip and Carter sends Kai to the apron. Carter with a knee and a jumping driver. Gonzalez drops Catanzaro on the apron. Kai with a rollup for a near fall. Kai with a submission and Carter taps out.
Winner: Dakota Kai
We go to black and white in the back and Scarlett sees the broken hourglass.
Karrion Kross walks in and steps on the glass as we go to commercial.
We are back with a video package for Mercedes Martinez. She says she has been grinding for 19 years. She is all action and she is not here to lose. Every single female better watch their back. Everyone needs to know who Mercedes Martinez is.
Match Number Five: Bronson Reed versus Leon Ruff
Reed with a forearm and a back senton. Reed goes up top for a frog splash and the three count.
Winner: Bronson Reed
After the match, Reed takes the mic and he says he is not one to forget. That is why he is going to do what no one else has. He says he is calling out Karrion Kross for next week.
Reed checks on Ruff and carries him to the back.
We go to the parking lot where Damian Priest sees that his tires have been slashed.
A car drives by and Cameron Grimes stops and asks Priest if he can get him an Uber.
We are back and Santos Escobar makes his way to the ring with Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde.
Santos says El Hijo del Fantasma was known as the greatest Lucha Libre artist ever. When you wear a mask, that is all you see. A luchador in a mask. That is all you saw in 20 years. Then he earned his shot in NXT. In front of a worldwide audience, he knew that El Hijo del Fantasma was going to come to an end. He was told by his father that he would be a leader. He tells Raul and Joaquin that they will be leaders. They will leave a legacy. The legacy of Fantasma.
Drake Maverick comes out and he congratulates Santos for outsmarting him.
Drake attacks Escobar but Mendoza and Wilde stop him. Maverick with a suicide dive onto Escobar. Escobar drops Maverick on the guardrails and they fight out of the ringside area. Escobar hits Maverick in the back with a monitor. Escobar gets Maverick on his shoulders and hits a Phantom Driver through a table.
We go to commercial.
We are back with a look at what happened before the commercial break with Santos Escobar and Drake Maverick.
We see Drake being taken into an ambulance with Jake Atlas checking on Drake.
Next week, Karrion Kross will face Bronson Reed. Cameron Grimes will face Damian Priest next week. These matches are in addition to the NXT North American Championship Triple Threat Match.
Match Number Six: Sasha Banks and Bayley versus Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
Sasha and Nox start things off and Banks with a take down. Nox with a waist lock and Banks with a standing switch. Sasha with a rollup for a near fall. Nox with a back slide for a near fall. Nox with a waist lock and Shotzi tags in and Nox iwth a drop toe hold and Shotzi with a rollup for a near fall. Bayley tags in. Bayley with a kick and forearms. Bayley hits the ropes and Shotzi sends Bayley to the mat and then Shotzi with a knee and inside cradle for a near fall. Bayley with a waist lock and side head lock. Shotzi floats over and goes for a rollup but Bayley rolls through and connects with a knee.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Bayley with a rerverse chin lock. We see footage from the commercial break when Sasha connected with a knee to get a near fall. Bayley with a double sledge but Nox and Bayley bump heads. Sasha and Shotzi tag in and Shotzi knocks Bayley off the apron. Shotzi with a splash to Banks followed by a face plant. Shotzi with a knee and rolling elbow followed by a kick. Shotzi with a Saito suplex for a near fall. Sasha goes to the apron and Shotzi goes through the ropes to the floor. Sasha with Meteora off the apron. Sasha gets a near fall. Sasha misses a running knee strike in the corner but Bayley puts Shotzi into the corner. Shotzi send Bayley into the turnbuckles. Nox tags in and she hits a Cannonboar on Bayley while Shotzi hits a cannonball on Sasha. Nox choke slams Banks onto Bayley on the floor. Shotzi tags in and hits an assisted cross body onto Bayley and Sasha on the floor.
Shotzi with an assisted Shiranui for a near fall when Banks pushes Nox into Shotzi. Nox tags in and she exchanges punches with Sasha and Nox with an Irish whip and Sasha tries to float over but Nox catches her. Shotzi tags in and Sasha gets to her feet but Shotzi with a near fall. Sasha with a rollup for a near fall. Sasha with Banks Statement on Shotzi but Shotzi escapes and applies Cattle Mutilation. Bayley brings a chair into the ring and Nox sees it and the referee forces Nox to drop the chair. While this happens, Bayley pushes Sasha over and Sasha with Banks Statement and Shotzi taps out.
Winners: Sasha Banks and Bayley (retain Championship)
After the match, Bayley and Sasha celebrate their victory in the ring.
Io Shirai with a springboad drop kick to Bayley and a German suplex to Sasha. Io with running knees to Sasha and Bayley. Io teases a dive to the floor and springs back into the ring.
