WWE ANNOUNCES SIGNING OF THE ROCK'S DAUGHTER

By Mike Johnson on 2020-02-10 13:13:00

WWE officially announced this afternoon that Simone Johnson, the daughter of The Rock has officially reported to the WWE Performance Center, so she has been officially signed by the company.  The announcement was made online in an edition of WWE Now:

The signing is not a surprise in the least.  Johnson, 18, has been regularly seen training at the WWE Performance Center over the last year and has made it clear she was interested in pursuing a job in professional wrestling.  In 2017, after being name a Golden Globes Awards Ambassador, Johnson told The Hollywood Reporter, "It's a sport that is unlike anything else in the world. There's just a certain amount of passion that every move and match requires, and that's so admirable. It's definitely something I've thought about and want to pursue."

Johnson's mother is Hollywood power broker and producer Dani Johnson, who is the co-founder of Seven Bucks Productions with The Rock.

Simone Johnson would become WWE's first-ever fourth-generation talent, following her great-grandfather Peter Maivia, her grandfather Rocky Johnson and of course, her father, The Rock.  All of this should lead to a lot of attention for her signing and it would be shocking if it didn't become mainstream media news.

WWE's Cathy Kelly will be interviewing Simone Johnson online this Wednesday at 3 PM EST on the company's social media channels.
