MANCE WERNER VS. JIMMY HAVOC NO ROPES BARBED WIRE, THE VON ERICHS VS. THE DYNASTY, PILLMAN JR. VS. FATU & MORE: COMPLETE MLW ZERO HOUR COVERAGE FROM DALLAS, TEXAS

By Mike Johnson on 2020-01-11 23:35:00

Gino Medina vs. Septimo Dragon (with Konnan).

Dragon started strong with a big dive to the outside.  He tossed Medina back into the ring for a two count.    They went back and forth with moves, attempting to take out the other but missing before off to a nice round of applause.  Medina took control with some hard chops.  Medina locked on a rear chinlock, trying to wear down Dragon.    The battle went back to the floor, where Dragon nailed a superkick.  Dragon was caught with a rollup and pinned.

Your winner, GIno Medina!

This was just OK.

The Dynasty worked over Dragon, so Konnan hit them with a sock filled with coins.

Drago & Puma King vs. Injustice vs. Low Rider & Black Taurus.

All big moves and highspots early on.  Way too much to recap.  Injustice took control and worked over.  Injustice was bumping all over for the luchadors.  Drago hit a pescado on someone.  Taurus and King went back and forth exchanging moves.   Oliver hit a dive into a cutter on King.  It was just utter chaos and lunacy.  King hit a big dive on Taurus.  Drago finally scored the pin on Low Rider.

Your winners, Puma King and Drago!

Just craziness.

MLW Champion Jacob Fatu vs. Brian Pillman Jr.

They had a really good big man-little man chemistry where Pillman was forced to really fight to overcome Fatu.  It was a very physical bout.  He nailed Air Pillman when Injustice came running out.  Seeing them, Pillman nailed a bodypress to the fall, taking all three out.  Fatu took control and used the spike and a moonsault to score the pin.

Your winner and still MLW Champion, Jacob Fatu!

Good, buit short bout.  I'd like to see more out of these two facing off down the line.

Low Ki vs. Chandler Hopkins.

They locked up and Ki forced Hopkins back to the ropes, where they broke the clinch.  Ki worked over his arm but was knocked to the mat with a shoulder block.  Ki seemed a mix of surprised and impressed.  They locked up again and ended up in the ropes, this time with Ki doing a hanging armbar.  Ki nailed a big Mule kick and began demolishing Hopkins with hard chops.  Hopkins tried to mount a comeback but his attempt at a rana was blocked and he was sent flying down to the mat.  Hopkins went for a rana but instead of the rotation, snapped Ki down with a DDT, using his legs.  That was pretty damn cool.

Hopkins nailed a shooting star press but missed.  Ki locked on a rear choke submission and Hopkins faded away.

Your winner, Low Ki!

Hopkins really impressed me.  He hung in there with Ki and looked good while achieving the primary job of making Ki look like a killer.

MLW Tag Team Champions The Von Erichs vs. The Dynasty's MJF & Richard Holliday

The Dynasty jumped The Von Erichs as they came to the ring and they all brawled around ringside.   They returned to the ring with The Dynasty working over Ross, tagging in and out and keeping him isolated in their corner, focusing on his arm as their point of attack.  Ross nailed a jawbreaker on MJF and crawled to his corner to make the tag but Holliday had attacked Marshall and knocked him to the floor.

The Dynasty kept working over Ross and even pulled out a Fargo Strut. The crowd chanted "Go Ross Go."  The Dynasty maintained control for a long time.    They attemped to both suplex him but he turned it into a neckbreaker for a huge pop.  He finally made the hot tag to Marshall and the crowd popped at Marshall unloaded on The Dynasty.  MJF was nailed with a double dropkick.  Marshall nailed a big flip dive to the outside.

The Dynasty thwarted a superplex attempt and turned it into a Powerplex of sorts for a two count.  Alex Hammerstone came out but Mance Werner followed and hit him with a chair.  Gino Medina came out and brawled with Medina and they went to the back fighting.

The Von Erichs locked on the Iron Claws and scored the pin.Your winners and still MLW Tag Team Champions, the Von Erichs!
