ROH Tag Team Champions The Briscoes vs. Jay Lethal & Jonathan Gresham

PJ Black did commentary.

Gresham and Mark started out.  The crowd, with a sizable amount of Briscoe family members at ringside, were into this from the start.  Lethal had obviously lost some muscle mass from the broken arm but made up for that with a lot of aggression, stomping the hell out of Jay Briscoe.

After some back and forth action, they battle on the floor with The Briscoes holding court.  Mark hit a flip dive off a chair over the top to the floor.  Mark nailed the Cactus elbow off the apron.  Lethal and Gresham cut off Mark Briscoe and work him over for some time.  Jay tried to get involved but was knocked off the apron and sent into the barricade.

Lethal nailed a dive to the floor on Mark.  Gresham worked over Jay and nailed an enziguri.  Gresham’s charisma has really come out since the turn.  Lethal and Gresham tried to utilize the Doomsday Device but the Briscoes came back and nailed it on Gresham.  Lethal made the save at the last second.  The battle went back and forth.  Lethal was drilled with a headbutt by Jay and choked by the ropes.  Mark tagged in and stomped on the arm that Lethal broke.  The Briscoes caught him in their corner and chopped him.  Lethal fought his way out and went for the figure four but was kicked off.

Gresham was tagged in and used his speed to wipe out the Briscoes.   He nailed a quebrada on Mark, then hit a dive on Jay.  Lethal nailed the Lethal Injection.  Gresham made the cover after a shooting star press but Jay tackled Lethal into them, breaking up the pinfall attempt.  Gresham took out Mark's leg and began working over the ankle.  Lethal and Gresham cut off the ring, beating him down.  Mark nailed an enziguiri on Gresham.  Jay and Lethal tagged in.  Jay Briscoe kept the control with punches and elbows.  Everyone piled on, battling in the corner.

Lethal tried to send Gresham into Jay but he was snatched and nailed with the Spicoli Driver for a two count.  Briscoe nailed a Jay-Driller on Lethal, but Gresham pulled the referee out as he was counting the fall.  This allowed Lethal to nail Jay with the ROH Tag Team Championship belt but Jay still kicked up.  Lethal locked on the figure four leglock on Jay as Gresham choked out Mark on the floor.  Mark broke free and went to the top.  Gresham attacked him.  Mark slammed Gresham on the floor.    Mark finally came off the top with the Froggy Bow elbow, breaking up the figure four.

The Briscoes went for the Doomsday Device but Greshm nailed Mark.  Lethal rolled up Jay, hooked the tights and scored the pin.

Your winners and new ROH Tag Team Champions, Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham!

A good tag team bout.  I suspect that as Lethal gets healthier, the rematches will be stronger.

ROH Champion Rush vs. PCO - No Rules, Friday the 13th Massacre Match

Dueling chants.    They faced off and then backed into the corner, charging at each other.  No one moves.  They chop each other.    PCO caught Rush with a clothesline as he dove at him, wiping him out.  PCo went for a dive but Rush nailed him with a chair.  Rush sent him into the barricade.  Rush began whipping PCO with a production cable.    He tossed PCO back into the ring.  They fired back and forth with stiff shots and chops.  Rush knocked PCO into the corner and teased his running dropkick in the corner, but stopped and mocked PCO.

PCO smile as he got to his feet.  Rush stunned him and went to the ropes.  PCO charged him but Rush dropped over the ropes with a hanging armbreaker.   Rush walked out into the crowd and brought back a small stepladder into the ring    He threw it hard at PCO, knocking him down into the corner.  Rush whipped PCO into the corner where the ladder had been placed.   PCO came back and went for a swanton off the top onto the apron but Rush moved and PCO crashed down.  Rush smashed him into the ring announcers' table.

Rush dragged PCO up the entrance aisle towards the production stage.  They battled to a hearse that was parked in the corner.  They said PCO drove here in the hearse.  Rush spit on it.  Rush picked up a barricade and smashed it into PCO.  He began stacking the barricades on the floor.   He added several chairs to the pile.   He dragged PCO up to the stage and teased throwing him off into the pile.  No, I stand corrected.  PCO WAS tossed off onto the pile.  OOOF.  That looked rough.  Rush acted like he had the match won but Destro, PCO's manager appeared on the stage.  Music played as smoke wafted from the hearse and lights inside flashed.  Destro used jumper cables from the car to "wake up" PCO.

With PCO recharged, he grabbed Rush and chokeslammed him on the hood of the hearse.    He dropped an elbow on the hood.  PCO went to the top of the hearse.  Rush met him there and hit an over the head belly to belly off the car to the floor.  PCO grabbed a crowbar and tried to nail Rush, who ducked and instead he smashed windows.  Rush nailed him with an equipment case.  They battled back to the ring, tossing several doors into the ring.  Rush nailed a back suplex for a two count.   Rush to the top and hits a BIG back senton splash but PCO kicks up at one.

Rush grabs a door and busts it over PCOs head, smashing it in half  He raises and charges Rush but is tossed into another door.    PCO realized Rush was going for the Bull's Horns but caught him and smashed him through the door.  PCO hit an insane moonsault for a close two count.  PCO set up a table in the middle of the ring.  PCO was nailed with a chair.  Rush turned his attention to Destro and nailed him.  He dumped Destro into the crowd.

Rush returned to the ring but was caught with a chokeslam.  PCO placed him on the table and scored the pin.

Your winner and new ROH Champion, PCO!

At 51, PCO becomes the oldest ROH Champion in history.

This was far and away the weirdest and most insane ROH title bout ever.   Some are going to complain about it but it was so far off the reservation from what people expect from ROH, it was entertaining because it was so nutty.

There's been a lot of talk about the death of ROH this year and yes the company has had a rough second half of the year, but despite the small crowd here tonight, there was a plethora of good to great wrestling, some entertaining brawls and well, I bet you never thought about two guys battling on top of a hearse in ROH, did you?  ROH swung for the fences tonight and you have to respect that, even if some of it was outside the scope of what ROH is "traditionally" supposed to be.
