MORE ON MLW'S NEW DEAL WITH JACOB FATU

By Mike Johnson on 2019-11-15 11:17:00

As PWInsider.com noted earlier today, Major League Wrestling announced today that they have locked MLW Champion Jacob Fatu into a new, long-term deal, converted over from his previous deal.

There had been a lot of interest in Fatu, the son of The Tonga Kid, from WWE and other promotions, so MLW was extremely happy they were able to get Fatu to agree to a longer-form contract.

PWInsider.com can exclusively report that as part of their new deal, MLW will have the rights to book Fatu out to other promotions and taking a page from how Vince McMahon Sr. used to control and book out Andre the Giant in the late 1970s and early '80s, MLW will have control over how Fatu is used and presented by independent promotions that are booking him.  This is being done to protect and control Fatu and to make sure his aura as a top MLW star is maintained outside the company.

MLW intends to continue building aroujnd Fatu and his stable, CONTRA Unit, going forward.
