BIOGRAPHY OF THE ORIGINAL SHEIK TO BE PUBLISHED IN 2021

By Mike Johnson on 2019-11-05 09:17:00

ECW Press will be publishing "Blood & Fire - The Unbelievable True Story of Wrestling's Original Sheik", telling the tale of the life and times of Ed Farhat, who was a massive international star, promoter and trainer.

The book is currently being targeted for a 2021 release, being written by Brian Solomon, who in the past has worked for WWE and has published a number of very good books on professional wrestling.

Farhat debuted in 1949 and was the centerpiece of Big Time Wrestling in Michigan as one of the all time greatest villains in professional wrestling.  He retired in 1998 and passed away in 2003 at the age of 76.   He worked all over the world, from All Japan Pro Wrestling and FMW in Japan to every major territory and promotion you could name in the United States.  He was (secretly) the promoter of Big Time Wrestling in Michigan and maintained kayfabe to the strictest degree imaginable.   He was the trainer of his nephew Sabu and Rob Van Dam, among others.

Solomon is currently in the middle of interviews for the book.
