Blue Demon Jr vs. Dr. Wagner Jr..
Big reactions for each. Lots of playing to the crowd by each early on, getting massive reactions. Very mat based match early on, working a slower style. They battled to the floor, where Demon kicked Wagner and sent him hard into the railing several times. They teased going into the crowd but instead Demon sent him into a ring post. Demon looked under the ring for something, but didn't seem to find it. He whipped Wagner into the ring steps.
Back in the ring, Demon snapmared Wagner and kicked him between the shoulder blades. Wagner fired back and scored a two count. He chopped Demon in the corner a series of times but was dropped with a right hand. Demon covered Wagner for a two count and slapped him several times in the corner. Demon nailed several chops and whipped Wagner, who reversed it into the opposite corner and nailed a lariat. Wagner took Demon to the mat, trying to force a submission. Demon fought his way out and took Wagner to the mat. Music played for a second. Ooops!
Wagner came back with a big kick across the chest. He began tearing at Demon's mask, tearing it. Demon escaped and began tearing at Wagner's mask. Demon nailed several chops to no effect and then hit a lariat. Wagner ripped his own mask off and clobbered Demon with a lariat. Demon came off the top with a bodypress but Wagner reversed it and scored the pin.
Your winner, Dr. Wagner Jr!
Wow, that finish was underwhelming. They appeared to be working for a longer bout but it ended out of nowhere.
Impact's wrestlers hit the ring and attacked Wagner. The AAA roster hit the ring and everyone fought in the ring. They cleared the ring of the Impact interlopers. They all posed with the Mexican flag. Wagner cut a promo to close the show.
This was a big spectacle of a show with lots of really good wrestling underneath and more character stuff on top. But, enjoyable!
