Velveteen Dream is defending the North American Title against Roddy Strong and Pete Dunne next.
As usual Dream entrance was amazing. It involved The Mountie and the NBA champ Raptors.
Roddy our next. Then the Bruiserweight. Peeps seem to like him best. Well maybe. They love Dream too.
It was all action from the get go with each man dominating at different times. Dream then put the Sharpshooter on Strong but Dunne broke it with a big double stomp from the top. There is just too much going on to recap. I don't envy Rich. This is great! The fans agree. Man this is great stuff.
These guys are killing it. Three amazing talents just doing what they do best.
Dream just hit a Coast To Coast elbow. Damn.
By the way the announcing is so good, it makes a great show greater.
You know how some Triple Threats have a guy on the floor selling? Not this. They are all going 100 miles an hour. Roddy just put both guys in the Strong Hold but couldn't get a tap.
Pete cracked both of their fingers and hit The Bitter End but Dream stopped the ref to save his Title. Dunne went to work on Dream doing that nasty stuff Pete does.
This is so so so good.
The finish so Roddy have Dunne pinned but Dream came off the top and stole the win.
This was so good words can't even describe how much I enjoyed it. I hope you are watching and enjoyed it too.
Shayna Baszler defends her NXT Women's Title against Mia Yim next.
Mia came out first with her peeps. As Mauro said, she is bringing the streets to this match. It's a different kind of challenge for Shayna. She is usually the bully. Not tonight.
NXTTakeover is the number one trend worldwide on Twitter. It should be.
They are feeling each other out early. Yim is clearly not afraid. So the champ is trying to outwrestle the street fighter. Yim is now using wrestling moves too. Shayna caught her on a tope though. Didn't last long as Mia tossed her into the steps and worked ogver her arm on the steps. Cool spot.
The champ is selling the arm from the step spot and just stomped Mia's arm to even things up. She worked it over. Nigel just made a Volk Han reference. Damn!
The story was Mia used some street tactics to come back. Now they are throwing hands. Then a tope suicida. Tornado DT, two count only for the challenger.
Shayna threw some strikes for a two. Mia is selling that she's hurt. But she came back and locked on a tarantula. She went up but got kicked by the champ. Shayna went for a suplex on the second rope but her arm gave out. Mia hit Avalanche Code Blue for a two. Sweet spot.
But them Shayna locked on the Clutch. Mia broke it by going after the bad arm. She them stomped on Baszler's arm and said it was karma. She to lock on the armbar. She got it but the champ rolled out and locked on the Clutch. She didn't all the way so she used her legs to lock on the Triangle and Mia tapped.
Shayna retains and showed that she can work any style.
I really enjoyed this match. It was like a real fight. Shayna is a monster and Mia showed she belonged. I don't see the feud continuing though. There was just a little something missing there.
