Elias sang his song, knocking Hartford and Roman. The crowd gave him a lot of static, as you would imagine. He signed off and acted as if he was going to leave, but of course, Roman had recovered and ran out, nailing a Superman punch. He tossed Elias back into the ring and they rang the bell.
Roman nailed a spear and that was it.
I can't say I am shocked at that one. They gave Elias some time to get some heat and then immediately had Roman completely kill him. In the end, it was all about Roman.
Next up is the WWE Universal title bout between Seth Rollins and challenger AJ Styles. If they give this time, it should be excellent.
They went back and forth with some good technical wrestling. Rollins gained control after a dive that sent Styles into the ringside table. Rollins nailed a second one. Back in the ring, Styles cut him off and drilled Rollins’ neck across his knee. He began working over Rollins and they went back and forth with a really nice sequence of near falls, ending with a bucklebomb on Styles and a splash off the ropes for a near fall.
Really good action thus far. They went back and forth with big moves and near falls. Rollins caught Styles on the top rope and set up for an inverted superplex off the ropes. He nailed it, rolled through and drilled him down again but Styles somehow kicks up! Great stuff!
Rollins set up for the stomp but Styles went for the Calf Crusher. Rollins is caught with an inverted DDT off the ropes for yet another close near fall. They recovered from and began exchanging blows as the fans had back and forth chants. Rollins went for the stomp but was caught in a great reversal by the Styles Clash for ANOTHER close two count. This is just great.
Rollins gained control with several superkicks and the stomp before finally scoring the clean pin. Rollins retains.
Just a great in-ring encounter. Give me more of that please!
Styles comes back after losing and offers his hand to Seth in a show of respect. Seth is hesitant but takes it. Cool moment.
I wonder if Brock Lesnar is next for Seth.
Backstage, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were interviewed. Woods said that Kofi is going to get the job done one on one because he respects Kofi and wants him to take out Owens himself. Kofi said he's going to show the world that they can't use his brothers to get to the title. As we reported, Big E is at the show, so we will see if he makes an appearance.
They've added a bonus match with the Lucha House Party. Nope. It's Lars Sullivan attacking them all. He kills them all. It would be something if they reveal he's the one who laid out Sami. Lars nailed a headbutt and ended up busting himself open.
