Ace Austin vs. Rich Swann

They went back and forth feeling each other out early on.  Aries used a nice spinning head scissors.  Swann nailed a nice rana.  They went back and forth with an incredible sequence where they kept going for the same move and finally faced off.

They battled into the corner.  Swann  whipped Austin into the opposite corner, but he dropped down an executed an unconventional droptoe hold.   He went to the top but was shoved off the top to the floor.  Swann worked over Austin on the floor with chops.  They battled back into the ring and battered each other with forearms and strikes.

They went back and forth with kicks and strikes and ended up drilling each other with a pump kick.  Austin went to the top and came off with splash and scored the pin.

Your winner, Ace Austin!

That did not appear to be the planned finish.

Swann decked the referee.  Rich Bochini got into the ring and asked Swann what had happened to him as he’s been a different competitor in recent months  Swann shoved him down.  He went to the floor and manhandled the ring announcer as well before storming off.

Mystery Partner Tag Team Bout: Tommy Dreamer & ??? vs. Brian Pillman Jr. & ???

Brian Pillman took the mic and put over that he was in the middle of the 2300 Arena.  He said he wasn’t going to wrestle some washed up ECW junkie.  He said he knows his rights because he’s in Philadelphia where the Constitution was written.  He was channeling his father’s infamous ECW Cyberslam 1996 promo.  He introduced his partner was Davey Boy Smith Jr.

Dreamer’s mystery partner was…THE SANDMAN.  Of course it was.  He did his grand entrance and spewed beer at Smith.  Everyone started brawling.  The crowd chanted FOR ecw.

They battled around the ring.    When it settled down, Pillman worked over Dreamer.  Smith tagged in and worked over Dreamer with crossfaces.  The Harts worked over Dreamer, tagging in and out.  They beat Dreamer in the corner.  Dreamer finally nailed a DDT and tagged in Sandman, who worked over Pillman with right hands.  Smith hit the ring.  Sandman grabbed the Singapore Cane.  Pillman went under the ring looking for a weapon and pulled out The Blue Meanie!  He got a big pop.  He danced and nailed Pillman.

Meanie got nailed.  Sandman got nailed.  The Hart Foundation nailed Dreamer with a powerbomb through two chairs to scored the pin.

Your winners, The Hart Foundation!

Puma King vs. Gringo Loco

They had some nice back and forth lucha style moves early.  Puma drilled Gringo in the back.  He sent Loco to the floor and hit a nice splash to the floor.  Loco nailed a dive.  Loco nailed a spinning splash off the ropes.  Loco came off the ropes and nailed a codebreaker.  They went back and forth with some good action.  Puma nailed a Code Red for a two count.  Puma went to the first but was crotched by Loco.   Puma caught him with a rana off the ropes and ascended to the top.  Loco met him  They battled on the top and seemed to lose their place for a second before Loco nailed a Spanish Fly off the top for the pin.

Your winner, Gringo Loco!
