WWE RAW REPORT: MORE NAMES FOR THE RUMBLE, TAG TITLE MATCH, BALOR AND BROCK, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2019-01-21 23:00:00

We are back and Seth Rollins has something to say.  Seth says today we celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.  Seth says we can learn a lot from Dr. King.  The ultimate measure of a man is not where stands during times of comfort and convenience, but where he stands during times of challenge and controversy.  Seth says he had two titles in his hands and two brothers by his side.  Now he has no titles and a broken family.

We cannot focus on the things we do not have but the things we do have.  Seth says he will focus on this.  As long as he has this ring under his feet and this microphone in his hands and the fire in his eyes, he can say that he will be going to Phoenix and win the Royal Rumble.  Seth says it might be a long shot, but he does not give a damn because his whole life is a long shot.  Seth says he is not the stereotypical WWE athlete.  He is not as big as Drew McIntyre or as strong as Bobby Lashley.  He came from a small town and his folks were working class.  Seth says he could be doing a lot of things, but he is not doing that because of heart, passion, love, or determination.  It is not in his cheat, but ingrained in his soul.

Thirty men will lay it on the line but in the end there will be one man who stands tall, Seth Rollins.

Drew McIntyre says he will kick Seth's head off tonight, but he wants to make a rebuttal.  Drew says he will not let Seth lie.  There is a zero percent chance you will win the Royal Rumble.  Drew says it is because of your style.  You come off the top rope and don't care about you body.  You will be eliminated.  What if you took that heart and harnessed it and put it in the body of a 6 foot 5 inch 270 pound Terminator, you would have Drew McIntyre.  Drew says he hopes and prays that they are in the ring together at the end because he wants to look in Seth's eyes before he eliminates Seth to hear Drew's name announced.

Match Number Three:  Seth Rollins versus Drew McIntyre

The match is joined in progress and Rollins with a suicide dive and a springboard clothesline when they return to the ring.  Rollins with an elbow and then he sends Drew to the floor with a back body drop.  Rollins comes off the turnbuckles but misses when Drew moves and Rollins hits the ringside barrier.  Drew with a bow and arrow around the ring post.  Drew gets a near fall.  Drew with an arm bar and chin lock.

Curt Hawkins stops by and Vince tells him that he lost too many matches.

Vince suggests that Curt be the referee for the tag match that Scott and Dash want.

Scott and Dash suck up to Curt as we go to commercial.

We are back and Dean Ambrose says earlier tonight, a certain architect mentioned Martin Luther King Jr.  He will take it one step further and he talks about injustice.  Dean says not being Intercontinental Champion is an injustice.  He is looking forward to seeing Bobby and Seth at the Royal Rumble because he will kick them and then throw them both over the top rope.  2018 was not his year.  He spent most of it in the hospital after driving his body into the ground.  Winning the Royal Rumble will be his shining moment, his miracle on ice.  Come Sunday, justice will be served.

Match Number Four;  Lince Dorado, Kalisto, and Gran Metalik versus Jinder Mahal, Samir Singh, and Sunil Singh

Winners:  Lince Dorado, Kalisto and Gran Metalik

We have a video for EC3.

EC3 is staring at himself in a mirror and Dana Brooke asks EC3 how does he prepare.  Elias walks by and we go to commercial.

We are back and Elias is in the ring.

Elias says 2019 is going to be an incredible year.  After he wins the Royal Rumble, it will not be an easy road.  There will be one universal truth no matter where we travel and that is that WWE stands for Walk With Elias.

Elias says he has written a song and it might be his finest.

Elias is interrupted by Baron Corbin.  Baron says that Elias ratted him out last week and almost got him killed by Braun Strowman.  Baron says Vince was right when he said there were a lot of hillbillies in Oklahoma.  Baron says he is not going to let Elias play his song, he is going to put him in his place.

Elias says Baron is not the General Manager so he cannot do stuff like that so he will play his song.

Baron says that Elias is not going to play his song.

Elias gets Baron's mic cut.

Elias starts singing and he asks if Baron interrupting him will ever end.  At the Royal Rumble you don't have a chance.  What you need to do is shut your mouth so you can hear that nobody cares about you.  Why do you still wear that stupid vest because you were fired.

We go to commercial.

The match is joined in progress and Elias goes to the turnbuckles and walks the ropes and goes for an arm drag.  Elias with a baseball slide that sends Corbin into the ringside barrier.  Elias sends Baron into the ringside barrier.  They go to the apron and they exchange forearms.  Elias with a kick and Elias blocks a kick but Baron sends Elias back first into the ring post.  Corbin punches Elias.  Elias with punches and Baron slides around the ring post and back into the ring to give Elias a clothesline.
