By Stuart Carapola on 2018-08-19 19:00:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of Summerslam 2018!

Michael Cole, Jonathan Coachman, and Corey Graves welcome us to the show, then send us to the ring for our opening match...

Intercontinental Title Match: Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins

Feeling out process to start, they go to the floor and Drew gets a little too close to Seth, and Dean backs him off.  Back into the ring where they continue going at it without either man able to get much of an advantage.  They head back out to the floor and all four men have a standoff before they go back into the ring and Seth gets the advantage.  Dolph takes over and begins working the knee over, but Seth starts to mount a comeback, and a suplex sends both me over the top to the floor.  Back in the ring and Seth makes the babyface comeback, hitting a blockbuster for 2.  Seth goes to the top, but his knee slows him down and Dolph is able to nail him and go for a superplex.  Rollins fights him off with a headbutt and goes for the frogsplash, but Dolph rolls to the other side of the ring, so Seth decides to clothesline him to the floor and hit a dive instead.  Back in the ring, Seth hits a springboard clothesline and a ripcord kneestrike for 2.  Seth quickly escapes a sleeper attempt, but Dolph snaps his neck down on the top rope.  They wind up on the apron and Dolph shoves Seth into the post, then hit a leaping DDT on the ring apron.  Yeowch!  Seth blocks a Zig Zag, hits a superkick, and comes off the top with a frogsplash...but Dolph gets the knees up and quickly cradles...for 2!  Close fall there.  Dolph goes back to the bad knee and tries a Stinger Splash, but Seth blocks and dumps Dolph on the top rope.  Rollins runs to the top and hits an INVERTED SUPERPLEX, then ROLLS through and hits the Curtain Call, but Dolph is STILL out at 2!  Wow, just wow.  The crowd is on their feet for this, and rightfully so.  Seth tunes up the band as Drew rams Dean into the steps, distracting Seth long enough for Dolph to hit the Zig Zag and cover...for 2!  They trade O'Connor rolls for 2, then Seth powers Dolph up into a buckle bomb, hits it, Drew is up on the apron, but Dean pulls him down and hits Dirty Deeds on the floor.  Dolph goes for a superkick, Seth sees it coming, dodges, and hits one of his own, then a curb stomp finishes it.

Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Seth Rollins

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME.  This was terrific, and a heck of a way to open the show.  Great job by everyone involved.

Renee is backstage with the Bella Twins, who argue over whether or not htey'll return to the ring for the Evolution PPV or focus on Total Bellas and their other projects, but they will be front row tonight to watch Ronda Rousey take the Women's Title from Alexa Bliss.

Smackdown Tag Team Title Match: The Bludgeon Brothers vs The New Day

It's Big E and Xavier Woods for the New Day tonight, and Woods promptly has his head taken off by a spinkick from Rowan and then they proceed to absolutely ANNIHILATE Woods with power moves.  Rowan hits a big splash for 2, and goes to a neck vice on Woods.  Rowan with a pump handle into a backbreaker on Woods, and I question whether having him start the match was the right move.  Harper hits a slingshot senton on Woods for 2, then the Bludgeons knock Big E off the apron and Rowan slams Harper onto him.  They take Woods outside and try to repeat the powerbomb onto the steps they crushed him with earlier this year, but he counters with a headscissors into the steps on Harper.  He rolls back inside and slowly crawls to his corner and makes a tag, and Big E immediately hops off the apron and gives both Bludgeons overhead release suplexes on the floor.  Back in the ring, Big E with a belly to belly on Harper, followed by a People's Splash.  Big E tries a crossbody, but Harper catches him and counters to a Michinoku Driver for 2.  Big E escapes the finish and dumps Rowan to the floor where Woods wipes him out with a dive.  Harper gives Woods a Boss Man Slam on the floor, and Big E spears him through the ropes as he comes back in, then Rowan comes off the apron with a crossbody onto Big E.  Back in the ring, the Bludgeons hit their finish, but Woods breaks it up at 2.  Woods tags in and hits leaping enziguiris on both men, but a tornado DDT is blocked.  Harper with a series of headbutts and a sitout powerbomb, but Woods is out at 2.  Harper tosses Kofi on the floor, but Big E takes Rowan out.  Harper is by himself in the ring and big boots Woods to the floor, drills Big E with one, and Big E hits an STJoe off the apron onto Woods' knees.  Not sure who got hurt the worst on that one, but Woods tags in and goes to the top, but Harper rolls to the floor to get away, so Woods hits the elbowdrop to the floor instead.  These guys are killing each other.  Into the ring where the New Day go for their finish, but Rowan has his mallet, drills Woods off the top with it, then unloads on Big E as well.

Winners by DQ: The New Day

Harper tells Rowan to calm down...then takes the mallet and drills Big E with it.  New Day wins, but Bludgeon Brothers retain.  Well, that was one brutal fight all four of them are going to feel in the morning with the bumps they were taking out there.

Hey, Jon Stewart is here!  Remember when he turned heel here a few years ago?

Money In The Bank Briefcase Match: Braun Strowman vs Kevin Owens

Strowman quickly crushes Owens with a pair of avalanches in the corner, but Owens smartly ducks out to the floor before the third hits.  Strowman goes outside and hits Owens with such a hard tackle that he not only hit the barricade, but actually bounced off of it.  A second one turns Owens inside out at ringside, and Strowman rolls Owens back in, Owens goes right back outside and tries to run up the ramp, and Strowman chokeslams him on the entry ramp.  This is not looking good for Owens.  Strowman tells him to get up and his running is over, and he hoists Owens up and hits the running powerslam, and that's all she wrote.

Winner: Braun Strowman
Well, I guess that pretty much said it all.  Completely one-sided squash, I think Owens got a kick and that was his only offense.  Just insane destruction of Kevin Owens.
