WWE RAW REPORT: WRESTLERS GET OUTSMARTED, REMEMBERING THE ANVIL, TAG TITLE MATCH, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2018-08-13 23:06:00

We are back and Dolph and Drew are back.  Kurt asks if the contract is satisfactory.  Dolph has an issue with the provision that Seth can have someone in his corner.  Kurt says since Drew will be in Dolph's corner, Seth gets to have someone in his corner.  Dolph is okay with the provision.

Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring.

Roman says leave this place better than I found it.  That is something he tells himself every day.  The truth is he is never going to accomplish that goal with Brock Lesnar here.  That means that it is time for Brock Lesnar to go.  Roman says he is sick and tired of hearing about him, talking about him, looking at him so it ends on Sunday at SummerSlam.  At SummerSlam, he is taking back his Universal Championship.  Roman says he will send Brock so far back into the UFC that Brock's head will be up Dana White's ass.

Paul Heyman interrupts and he says it is a NEW DAY, yes it is.  Paul says if he would steal a line from someone on Smackdown, he would steal a line from The Usos because they are the future of the tag team division.  Speaking of the future of a division in WWE, Paul says he is laying his eyes on the number one contender for the Universal Title, Roman Reigns.

Roman says Paul must be confused.  Last week, Paul was able to cry on cue so Roman says he is looking forward to seeing what Paul will do tonight.

Paul says this is your week, your week of history.  Why wait until Sunday to make history.  You can start making history tonight.  Paul says he almost let something slip out last week.  He mentioned there was an 'unless'.  That unless is having Paul Heyman telling you each and every one of Brock Lesnar's deep and dirty secrets.  Paul says that Roman thinks he can beat Brock Lesnar.  With Paul Heyman in your corner, you will walk into Sunday knowing you will beat Brock Lesnar and that is a spoiler.

Roman says he already knows this.  He beat Brock Lesnar in Saudi Arabia.  Brock wouldn't have made it out of that cage if he didn't spear him through it.  It would have ended quicker if it wasn't for Paul.

Paul says guilty as charged and he offers no excuses.  Paul says it was because of him.  He hopes that the sins of the father will not be visited upon his children.  Paul says he is a visionary and he can see the future.  One week from tonight, after you slay the beast . . . side by side.  Paul does his opening promo but with Roman Reigns as his client.

Roman says Paul is trying, but it is not good enough.  Roman tells Paul that he was groomed at a very young age for that.  He was taught by his father to swim with sharks in this business.  He was taught to know which ones were drowning because they are the most dangerous ones.  Roman says Paul is not worth saving and he wishes Paul the best in his future endeavors.

Paul says he is drowning with the knowledge from driving in the car with Afa and Sika.  Your father taught Paul.  Paul gives Roman a document and he tells Roman to give him his answer on Sunday at SummerSlam.

Roman accepts the document and Roman looks at it.

Paul sprays Roman with pepper spray and leaves the ring.

Brock Lesnar comes out and he connects with knees in the corner..  Lesnar with a guillotine on Roman and Roman is out.

Brock goes up the ramp, but he is not done with Roman and returns to the ring.  Brock waits for Roman to get up and then he gets Roman on his shoulders for an F-5.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a Moments Ago Moment of Paul Heyman's attack on Roman Reigns and subsequent follow up from Brock Lesnar.

We take a look back at what happened during the match between Alexa Bliss and Ember Moon.

We are back with Ruby Riott saying while she was gone, everyone's best friends were able to get over their differences.  It is easy to get along when things are going right.  We will see what happens when they face a riott.

Match Number Six:  Sasha Banks (with Bayley) versus Ruby Riott (with Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan)

They lock up and Sasha with a wrist lock and Ruby with a forearm. Sarah grabs Sasha's leg as she hits the ropes.  Sasha gets a near fall with a rollup.  Sasha with an arm bar.  Ruby with punches but Sasha with a kick.  Ruby with a rollup for a near fall.  Sasha with Banks Statement but Ruby gets to the ropes.  Sasha misses a baseball slide.  Sasha with a kick to the face.  Ruby sends Sasha into the ring steps and then hits a super kick to the hand that is caught in the steps.

We take a look at some of Seth Rollins' appearances in China last week.

Kurt asks if Seth Rollins is here and he is told that Seth is not here.

Baron says that one of the biggest matches at SummerSlam may not happen because Kurt waited until the last minute.  Baron says that Kurt cannot wait any longer.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Kurt Angle is in the ring with the contract signing table.  Kurt says before he brings out the participants in the Intercontinental Title Match to sign the contract, he wants to address the situation with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar.  Kurt says that Roman will be able to wrestle.  Kurt says he will not suspend Brock or strip him of the title, he wants Roman to kick Brock's ass.

Dolph Ziggler's music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring and he is joined by Drew McIntyre.

Dolph says we know that Seth isn't here so let's get this over with.

Drew says you cannot suspend Brock because you have already lost one title match so you don't want to lose another one.  Drew says that Kurt will probably prop up Roman.

Dolph asks if he will still have to defend the title on Sunday.

Kurt introduces Seth Rollins but no one comes out.

Dolph says we all know that Seth is not coming out.

Drew says that the 'travel issues' are probably that Seth cannot get away fast enough.

Dolph says Seth was a great champion but the focus is on WAS.  Since he cannot beat them, Seth quit.

Drew says they respect Seth Rollins.  They formed their alliance to stop the complacency.  You have to outwork everyone around you to grab that brass ring.  Some of you think by being on Raw, you have made it.  Seth tried to prove that he was the best every week.  That made him and Dolph work harder.

Dolph says Seth pushed himself too hard for them.  Every night, he wore his heart on his sleeve and he busted his ass for the WWE Universe.  That is a one way street.  Dolph says they forget.  They love when Seth burns it down.  You don't remember when Dolph stole the show.  It is all meaningless.  Every time you feel disappointment, you turn your back.  You did it to him and you will turn your back on Seth.  You are going to turn your back on the next guy and the next guy.  This vicious cycle will never end . . . because of you.

It is easy to be around for the fun times, but where were you during the hard times.  Now for the first time in his life, someone truly has his back.  He does not mean someone who rides his coattails and cashes a paycheck.  This psycho pushes him to do better every night.  Dolph says he does not care about any of you and he does not care about stealing the show.  They do what they want and they took the damn thing over.

Dolph asks for the contract and they can officially make it a Seth Rollins forfeit.

Kurt gives Dolph the contract and Ziggler signs it.  Dolph says they are done.

Seth Rollins' music plays and he makes his way to the stage.  Seth says it is not like him because he is usually on time.  Seth apologizes to everyone for having to listen to Dolph.  Seth says he has been here for a while but he wanted to wait until Dolph signed because of what Seth was going to say.

Seth says he dealt with some travel issues, but they are not his travel issues.  Seth says with the clause about having someone in his corner, it was there for a particular reason.  Seth says he was tired of dealing with them two on one and since you are going to have the Scottish Psychopath in his corner, he might as well have a lunatic in his.

Dean Ambrose makes his way to the stage.

Dean and Seth go to the ring and they square off.  Seth wtih a super kick to Drew and Dean with the double underhook DDT on Drew.

We go to credits.
