Out came a Mardi Gras float carrying the Bar. I was wondering when they were going to do something to play off NOLA. Braun Strowman came out and when he roared, he scared off all the Mardi Gras. He then destroyed the float.
No partner for Braun yet. He said its not someone in the back and asked who from the crowd wanted to be his partner. He went into the crowd looking for one. He found a kid in the crowd and brought him to the ring. The kid's name was Nicolas.
Braun and Sheamus began battling. The crowd chanted for Nicolas. Braun chokeslammed the heck out of Cesaro. The Bar overwhelmed him and nailed a double suplex. The crowd chanted for the kid. Sheamus nailed a flying knee. This is all just weird.
The Bar nailed the Quebecers' old finisher for a two count. The Bar went to double kick him but he caught their legs and iped them out. He went to tag the kid and the place went nuts. What the hell is this?
Cesaro went to face off with him, but Braun tagged back in and scored the pin, winning the belts.
Seriously, what was this? I feel like I just watched Tommy Wiseau's The Room.
Main event time. Big time entrances for Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Heyman gave the big time intro for Brock and they began brawling. Brock whipped out suplexes. Roman with the Superman punches.
Sika is sitting ringside, by the way.
They battled to the floor. There was a massive CM Punk chant for a moment. Brock went for a belly to belly suplex on the floor but instead he somehow just smashed Reigns' face into the announcing table in the most evil fashion. Back in the ring, Lesnar began nailing German suplexes.
Brock began smashing Reigns with suplexes. There are Goldberg catcalls live. Lesnar continued beating down Reigns, tossing him into the barricade on the floor. He went to nail what appeared to be an F5 into the ringpost but Reigns slipped behind him and shoved Brock into the ringpost. Will this turn the tide?
Roman speared Brock, sending him crashing over the announcing table. Brock was brought back to the ring and nailed with a series of Superman Punches and a spear for a two count. He set up for another spear but was nailed with a big knee to the face. He nailed an F5 for a two count. In the crowd, a security guard took away a beach ball that was bouncing around and the crowd booed the hell out of him, but I am sure on TV, it looked like heat for Lesnar.
Lesnar nailed another F5 but again, Roman kicked out. Lesnar looked on in disbelief and disgust that he couldn't seal the deal. Another F5 but Roman kicked out again. Brock called him a "motherf***er" as the cameras were closed in. Whoops! Pockets of fans were chanting it.
Reigns rolled to the floor, where Brock hit an F5 through an announcers' table. Brock dragged Roman to the ring. Brock returned to the German suplexes. Another F5. Another kickout.
Brock began grounding and pounding Roman on the mat. Roman was busted open. He went for the F5 but Roman slipped out and nailed a pair of spears for a close two count. Roman was in a bloody rage and rebounded off the ropes for a spear but was caught with an F5 and pinned.
Brock wins. Lots of oddsmakers are crying.
After they went off the air live in the Dome, Reigns was checked out by medical officials for a long timree at ringside. Brock and Heyman went to the back. Roman finally got up and left to his music. A good portion of the crowd was waiting for something to happen but nothing did.
They blew up a lot of pyro and told everyone goodnight.
The last hour came off very anticlimactic in comparison to the earlier portion of the show. I am very curious to see whether Brock pops up on Raw tomorrow.
Very quiet crowd leaving the venue, a stark constrast to the Mania 30 ending here with Daniel Bryan, although this was a very different main event scenario.
