Austin Idol came out and cut a great heel promo about what a rinky dink, minor league town he was in.  He ripped on the fans and said that he’d never ever come back here.  He put over NWA champion Nick Aldis and asked for Aldis’ challenger to come out.

Lance Anoa'I came out.  Idol put over his family heritage and said he was picked because of his family.  Lance said that he was young and hungry and shouldn’t be looked at as just another branch on his family tree.

Idol gave Nick Aldis a big introduction.

NWA champion Nick Aldis vs. Lance Anoa’i

They felt each other out early on, facing off.  Lance nailed a series of hiptosses and kicks with Aldis retreating to the floor.  Aldis gained control and worked over Lance, who was sent to the floor.  Aldis distracted the referee, allowing Austin Idol to nail Lance.

Aldis worked him over with a series of punches in the corner and whipped him into the opposite corner.   Aldis choked him against the ropes.  Lance went to make a comeback but was nailed with a lariat.  Aldis nailed a suplex and locked in a chinlock.

They battled to the top rope, where Lance nailed a superplex into the ring.  Lance nailed a series of offensive maneuvers, including several diving headbutts and a hip attack in the corner.

Aldis cut him off and nailed a Falcon Arrow.  Aldis went to the top but was met by Lance.  Lance went for a superplex but was shoved off and crashed down to the mat.  Aldis went for the Texas Cloverleaf but was rolled up for a two count.

Lance nailed a superkick but missed a splash off the top.  Aldis locked in the Texas Cloverleaf and Lance tapped.

Your winner and still NWA champion, Nick Aldis!

The story was the young upstart competing against the veteran.  They had a good, solid, competitive bout.

After the match, Idol told the fans that he knew they couldn’t afford to go to Philadelphia but tomorrow, Nick Aldis was going to pick Tommy Dreamer apart.  He warned all the idiot fans they could watch it on Twitch.  Aldis was knocking fans as he left the building.

Joey Mercury vs. Tommy Dreamer: Long Island Street Fight

They brawled back and forth in the ring, exchanging punches.  They went out to the floor, battling around ringside.  Mercury teased a dive but then just walked out of the ring and put on a headlock.

They battled around the ring.  Dreamer grabbed a fan’s water and nailed Mercury with it.  Dreamer grabbed a trash can and nailed Mercury in the head with it.  He then took the ring bell and brought it into the ring, placing it over Mercury’s groin and rang the bell.

Dreamer set up a chair, but Mercury nailed a drop toe hold into it.  Mercury low blowed Dreamer and nailed a Pedigree for a two count.   Mercury argued with the referee and punched him out.

Mercury teased using a chair but tossed it out of the ring.  He went to use a cheese grater but Dreamer nailed a stunner and used the grater instead.  Dreamer nailed a DDT and scored the pin.

Your winner, Tommy Dreamer!
