ROH Tag Team champions The Motor City Machineguns vs.The Briscoes.

The Briscoes attacked the champions as they came to the ring.    They controlled Sabin for a long time. Sabin finally turned the tide with a dive to the outside on the forefathers of ROH.  Now the Machineguns were double-teaming Mark.  Jay hit the ring and clotheslined Alex Shelley.  Mark nailed a Blockbuster off the apron on Shelley, tossed a chair into the air and then helped his brother double team Sabin.  Mark was busted open above the eye.

Lots of big moves from the Guns.  The Briscoes work over Sabin, but Mark accidentally kicked Jay.  That allowed Sabin to nail a dive.  Sabin went for the Sabin Driller but Mark escaped.  He went for a move, but Shelley grabbed him, allowing Chris to nail a kick to the head.  Sabin nailed Cradleshock but Jay made the save.  All four battled.

The Machineguns nailed the Dream Sequence.  The Briscoes battled back and almost scored the pin after the Froggy Bow.  Sabin nailed a forward roll when the Briscoes were going for the Doomsday Device.  Jay nailed the Jay-Driller on Sabin for a close two count.   It went back and forth until The Briscoes scored the pin.

Your winners and nine-time ROH Tag Team champions, The Briscoes!

ROH champion Dalton Castle vs. Jay Lethal.

They had some good back and forth grappling early on.  Lethal worked over Castle’s arm.   Castle caught Lethal going for a leapfrog and almost nailed him with the Bangarang but Lethal escaped and retreated to the floor.    Lethal returned to the ring and they locked in a test of strength.  They battled back and forth until Lethal nailed a nice dropkick.

Lethal maintained control, working over Castle in the corner.  He attempted a suplex but Castle blocked.  Lethal leapt up and nailed a big kick but only scored a two count.  Lethal nailed the champion with several forearms but was caught with an overhead throw.    He chopped Lethal against the ropes.  Lethal blocked an Irish whip and nailed a big forearm.  Castle fired back, knocking Lethal to his knees.   The story is that Lethal was focusing on several places to wear Castle down, including his knee.

Lethal pulled Castle to the outside and they battled all over ringside, taking out the ringside table.  Lethal went for a dive but Castle moved, and Bobby Cruise was hit.  That’s the first time I’ve seen Cruise used in an angle like that.  Nice twist.

Back in the ring, Castle nailed a throw suplex and scored a two count.   Castle nailed a series of elbows to the back and kidneys.    Castle went for the Bangarang but Lethal nailed the Lethal Injection.  Lethal placed Castle in the Human Torture Race and slammed him down, but only scored a two count.

Castle nailed a big Deadlift suplex with a bridge for a two count.    Lots of great sequences, including Lethal turning the Bangarang into a figure four leglock.     Castle made it to the ropes but Lethal punished him with kicks and slaps.   Lethal nailed the Lethal Injection for a CLOSE two count.

They battled back and forth on the apron.   Lethal rained down with slaps and punches.  Castle fired back with forearms but was kicked down by Jay.    Lethal drilled him with a hard chop.   Lethal nailed a baseball slide, kicking him off to the floor and the guard rails.  He drilled Castle with a knee, slamming him onto the apron.

Lethal set up for a cutter off the apron but Castle blocked and nailed a big back suplex off the apron to the floor.    That was insane.  Just absolutely nuts.

Exhausted, they returned to the ring and faced off.  They slapped and punches the other.    The beat the hell out of each other.  Lethal began nailing superkicks.  He missed the Lethal Injection.  They went into a series of reversals until Lethal was nailed with the Bangarang and pinned.

Your winner and still ROH champion, Dalton Castle!

Just a GREAT back and forth excellent main event.  Lethal is in another world right now inside the ring and Castle more than hung with him.  Absolutely awesome.  This may have been my favorite Castle match to date.

A thoroughly enjoyable PPV.
