OVW RAISES $6,000 FOR MATT CAPPOTELLI

By Mike Johnson on 2017-09-24 00:26:00

Last night's Ohio Valley Wrestling benefit event for Matt Cappotelli raised $6,000 to assist him in his battle against brain cancer.  We will have more details on the event shortly.

Cappotelli was was diagnosed with a grade 2 glioma in 2006, which ended his in-ring wrestling career. Most of the tumor was successfully removed in 2007 following surgery with Cappotelli undergoing radiation and two years of chemotherapy.

After nearly 10 years of being in remission, Cappotelli's brain tumor was found to have returned in a much more aggressive form this past summer.  The brain tumor was diagnosed as a grade IV GlioBlastoma Multiforme (GBM), which is the most aggressive and deadliest form of brain cancer.

Tickets for the event are $15 with every dollar going to the Cappotelli family.  For additional details on the benefit event, visit www.OVWrestling.com.
