COMPLETE WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: MONEY IN THE BANK REMATCHES, THE ASCENSION INTERROGATED, DID MOJO AND ZACK EARN A TAG TITLE MATCH, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2017-06-27 21:57:00

At Money in the Bank, Carmella had her 'man' help her win the Money in the Bank match, but Daniel Bryan would not let that historic moment stand.  Tonight we get a second Money in the Bank Ladder Match.  We also get a rematch of the Lana and Naomi match for the Women's Title to see who will have to fight off the briefcase holder.  Will Baron Corbin take advantage?  Will the Hype Bros get their tag title match that they had to earn, even if they had one already.

We are in San Diego, California and your announcers are Tom Phillips, John Layfield, and Byron Saxton.

Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring.

Daniel asks if everyone is ready for a great night tonight.  He says he is proud of the women on Smackdown and we have two huge Women's matches.  Naomi will defend the Women's title against Lana.  The other match will see Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Carmella, and Tamina in a Money in the Bank Ladder Match.  The winner will be the person who climbs the ladder . . .
Carmella's music plays and she makes her way to the ring with James Ellsworth.  Carmella says that Daniel said this was the land of opportunity, but she says it is the land of injustice.  Last week, she was unjustly stripped of her Money in the Bank contract.  She won the match fair and square.  The rulebook states that the match is no disqualification so there are no rules. The first woman to gain possession of the contract wins the match.  James is not the first superstar to get involved in a ladder match.  Seth Rolilns was not stripped of his contract.  Sheamus was not stripped of his contract.  Daniel had no right to take the contract.  How can you break the rules if there are no rules.

Just because she is more intelligent than any other chick in the locker room, he had not right to take away what is hers.  Her contract is now dangling over her head.

Daniel says that Carmella has made valid points.  Those matches are no disqualification and others have interferred.  Never has someone climbed the ladder, climbed the ladder, grabbed the contract and handed it to another.

Daniel says he has made his decision, but he wants to know from the people of San Diego if he should cancel the match and give the contract back to Carmella or should they have the match.

James Ellsworth says that everyone makes them sick.  You are the villains here.  You are the ones who control this stupid puppet.  James says that he has seen Daniel take pleasure in upsetting his home girl.  Ellsworth calls Daniel pathetic.  He used to look up to Daniel.  He used to see a man, but now he sees a gutless, spineless coward that has not grapefruits to cut it in the ring so he made up some hokey injury.

Daniel tells James he probably should fire him.  Tonight it is not about James, it is about the real superstars of Smackdown.   Daniel says he said on Talking Smack that he was going to ban James from ringside.  Daniel takes it back.  He is not banned from ringside.  He is banned from the entire arena.

Daniel calls for security and they grab Ellsworth and carry him out of the ring.  Ellsworth tries to run away and he tries to leap over the ringside barrier but he lands on it instead and he is finally taken to the back.

Daniel wishes Carmella luck tonight.

We go to commercial with Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder walking in the back.

Match Number One:  Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder versus Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso in an If Mojo and Zack win they will get a Title Match

Ryder and Jimmy start things off and Zack with a side head lock and shoulder tackle.  Zack blocks a hip toss and hits arm drags followed by a flap jack for a near fall.  Mojo tags in and Ryder with a clothesline into the corner and Mojo goes for the knee.  Jey tags in and Mojo tries for a slam.  Jey with a chop and Mojo wants him to chop him more while Mojo comments on Jey's level of hype.  Mojo with a flying shoulder tackle and then he clotheslines Jey over the top rope to the floor.  Zack tags in and Mojo sends Zack over the top rope onto Jimmy and Jey.

Zack sends Jey into the ring and Jimmy tries to stop him.  Jey has a kick blocked but he hits an enzuigiri that sends Zack to the floor.

We go to split screen and Jimmy tags in and he punches Zack on the floor.  Jimmy sends Zack back into the ring and he tags in Jey.  Jey with a boot to the chest.  Jey with a punch to Ryder and he falls into the ropes.  Jey chokes Ryder in the ropes and Jimmy with a boot to the head.  Jey with a front face lock and he tags in Jimmy who punches Ryder in the kidneys and then applies a reverse chin lock.  Jimmy sends Zack to the mat when Zack connects with punches.  Zack sends Jimmy face first into the mat and both men are down.

Mojo tags in and he hits a clothesline into the corner and sends Jey to the mat from the shoulders but Jimmy breaks up the cover.  Zack is sent to the floor but Mojo with a pounce.  Ryder tags in and they go for the Hype Ryder but Jimmy with a super kick to Mojo.  Jey misses a splash into the corner.  Zack sends Jey into the turnbuckles and sets for the Broski boot but Jimmy pulls Jey out of the corner.  Jimmy tags in and Jey with a super kick and Jimmy hits a splash for the three count.

Winners:  Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso

After the match, the New Day make their way onto the stage and head to the ring.

Xavier says they are so proud of the Usos because they won a match instead of running away in the middle of it.  Big E says they want that gold.  At Battleground, they are coming for you . . . Xavier stops Big E before he goes Stevie Ray.

Jimmy and Jey wonder why they should give them another shot because they beat them already.  They can give them an L and they can go to their playpen and cry.  Jimmy says they will take a pass tonight, but they accept the challenge at Battleground.  Jey says it ain't about New Day any more, it is about Day One Ish.

Xavier says that the Usos are forgetting who they are dealing with so he gives Kofi the chance to speak.

Kofi says we can see it in your eyes that you are getting a little moody.  They are underdogs like Rudy.  Your drawers are Booty.

Xavier plays the trombone.

Tamina is in the back getting ready for her match.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Fifteen Years and one week after his Smackdown debut, John Cena is back on the Fourth of July.

We go to the Fashion Files interrogation of The Ascension.

We see a photo of the Big Boss Man as they talk about doing the good cop/bad cop deal.

Viktor says they did not do it.  Fandango says he believes Viktor but his partner does not.  Fandango says that they have a drawing of the people who did it.  Konnor says they did not do it.  Fandango says he believes him.  Fandango says he will entice them with two Eddie Money tickets because he has two tickets to paradise.  Konnor reminds Viktor they only listen to grindcore metal.

Tyler enters the room and he shows them his water guns.  He asks them if they are thirsty and has some iced tea and a cheese platter.  Konnor says they did not do it but they wanted a match on Money in the Bank.

Tyler says they are real tough and that they were both good cops.

They go to their office and the room is trashed again.

Tyler and Fandango try to figure out who did it while Konnor enjoys some cheese and Konnor and Viktor take their Eddie Money tickets.

Natalya is getting ready in the back for the Ladder Match.

Match Number Two:  Naomi versus Lana for the Smackdown Women's Title

Lana hits Naomi from behind during the introductions and she kicks Naomi.  The referee checks on Naomi and starts the match.

Lana with a splash in the corner followed by the sit out spinebuster for a near fall.  Naomi with a round kick to the head and Naomi with a split legged moonsault for the three count.

Winner:  Naomi

Becky Lynch is in the interview area and she is asked about getting to face Naomi if she wins tonight and cashes in.  She is asked about the second chance.  Becky says she was inches away from grabbing the briefcase and inches away of proving you can walk your own path and be successful.  James Ellsworth took it away from her but Daniel Bryan did the right thing to allow her to become the first legitimate Money in the Bank winner.

Aiden English is in the ring and he croons that he is the Shakespeare of Song, the Mozart of Melody, the Beethoven of Baritone . . .

Randy Orton's music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.

We go to commercial.
