ROODE VS. YOUNG IN ALL ONTARIO MAIN EVENT, EXTREME MIXED TAG, MOOSE VS. RHINO & MORE: COMPLETE HOUSE OF HARDCORE COVERAGE FROM NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO

By Mike Johnson on 2016-05-07 19:40:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of House of Hardcore 14 from Niagara Falls, Ontario at the Scotiabank Center!

There are about 800-850 fans here in my estimation.

I'm not sure as to why, but Team Tremendous will not be appearing tonight.  I am told there was a personal conflict for Bill Carr that he was not able to get out of.

Eddie Kingston vs. Bull James

They tested each other out with a series of shoulderblocks.  Dempsey won the battle.   Kingston cut him off and choked him against the ropes.  Dempsey came back with a series of headbutts and went to the top for a diving headbutt.  Kingston rolled out of the way and set up for a spinning backfist.  Dempsey ducked it and nailed a facebuster variation for the pin.

Your winner, Bull James!

OK opener.  This went a lot shorter than I'd have expected.  The action was fine, but I felt like it was truncated.

Six Man Tag: Hacker Scotty & Psycho Mike & CJ Mirror vs. Ben Ortiz & Beta & Adam Brooks

I wasn't familiar with Hacker and Psycho beyond their names but both looked really good here.  Mirror is a Dreamer students who is a former Marine and he looked liked he was coming along well.  He hit a nice missile dropkick from the top and hit a dive to the outside.  Brooks looked really good and hit a nice swanton.  Lots of action and some silly shenanigans with the referee here, including him leaping off the ropes to the outside.  Lots of solid stuff here.

Colt Cabana vs. Chris Hero

The NOAH partners shook hands before the bell.   Some really nice back and forth wrestling early.  Cabana used his unique style to take Hero down to the mat several times.  Hero went for the elbow but Cabamna avoided.  Some really nice sequences early on.  Hero drilled Cabana with a boot off the apron to the floor and followed him to the outside.  He worked over Cabana with some hard chops and shots on the floor.

Hero brought Cabana back in the ring and drilled him with a series of stiff chops in the corner.  Cabana went back to the floor, where Hero worked him over.  Hero nailed an axehandle off the apron to the floor on Cabana,  He continued to trounce Cabana, but every time he tossed him in, Cabana would roll out to the other side.  Hero finally tossed him in and ran around to meet Cabana as he rolled out, nailing another elbow.   Cabana came back with a Dusty elbo but Hero kicked him away,  Cabana rebounded with the elbow.

Hero cut him off and drilled him for a two count.  The crowd tried to rally Cabana but he was nailed with an elbow.  Hero nailed a cradle piledriver for a two count.  Cabana finally stole the win with a pinning combination, shocking Hero.

Your winner, Colt Cabana!

Real good match with some really nice back and forth action.  Great stuff.

Cody Deaner vs. Mystery Opponent

The mystery opponent was Magnus.  Magnus worked him over with elbows and drilled him with kicks,  Magnus beat him down and cinched in a rear chinlock.  Deaner made a comeback and hit a clothesline.  He went for a suplex but was driven backwards into the corner.  Magnus missed a charge when Deaner ducked.  Deaner nailed a sitout powerbomb for a two count.  Magnus came back with a powerbomb for a two count and then locked on a Texas Cloverleaf.  Deaner fought and made it to the ropes.  Magnus finally rolled him up and scored the pin.

Your winner, Magnus!

OK match.  Deaner played a really good underdog babyface.
