HBK’S AWESOME 180, JINDER’S RELEASE, TOO MANY TITLES AND MORE

Who’s made the bigger Mike Johnson related blunder?  Uncle Dave, for falsely reporting that Johnson wasn’t invited to wrestlemania Saturday’s press conference?  Or Vinnie Ru, For accidentally emailing Mike Johnson TNA related communications to Mike Tenay and then denying he did it?

It was easily Russo.  He was actually in the business and made a big mistake sending that email to Mike J instead of Mike T.  For Meltzer, it was just another incomplete story.

I’ve been reading the Old Lariats and the opinion of Shawn Michaels, the man, is pretty low in those and rightly so.  My question is has anyone ever rehabilitated their image better than HBK? How differently would he have been remembered if WM14 had actually been it for him?

There may be someone out there comparable but I truly can't think of that person if he/she exists.  Michaels rehabbed his image in such a big, big way.  He is beloved now.  It shows people can change if they want to.

Thoughts on Jinder Mahal’s release from WWE?

My first thought is that it didn't surprise me.  WWE got him hot with his Rock promo and when he didn't get any follow up, it said it all to me.  With that said, I think it's a shame because the guy showed he had a lot to offer.  I hope that Tony Khan signs him and gives him an opportunity.

Do you think WWE's frequent camera cutting, particularly during big entrances, needs to be addressed?  Respectfully, I watch wrestling shows to see what the wrestlers are doing, not the fans.  Case in point: can you recall the last time they actually showed Cody doing his "woahh" gesture during his entrance?

I see your point but honestly, it doesn’t bother me at all.  I think it’s part of WWE’s move to covering the shows more like real sports.  I can see how it bothers people but personally, it doesn’t bug me at all.

One of my biggest pet peeves with AEW, NWA, and New Japan is the overabundance of mid-card, Men's single championships. You have AEW's TNT, International, and now the Continental championship sharing screen time with ROH's Television and Pure championships; and don't get me started on the FTW Championship, which isn't even considered a legit title. Nobody, least of all ROH fans, wants an AEW-ROH merger (or any merger for that matter, as proven by AEW's domestic broadcaster), but both brands are in desperate need of some title unification bouts. The ROH Pure title and the AEW Continental title are both defended under special rules. Nothing of value would be lost if they were, respectively, unified with AEW's TNT & Int. Championships and ROH's TV title, while keeping those match stipulations. Ditto NJPW's World TV, IWGP Global Heavyweight, and STRONG Openweight titles (I'm excluding the NEVER Openweight title because it has a longer linage); and the NWA's National and TV titles.

I am not really sure what your question is but if you are asking me if I think AEW/ROH have too many singles titles, yes, I think that they do.
