BBC COVERS EXTREMELY HIGH PRICES FOR WWE CLASH AT THE CASTLE TICKETS

By Mike Johnson on 2024-05-10 10:15:00

The BBC ran a story today looking at WWE fan response to the "extortionate"  ticket price levels for the 6/15 Clash at the Castle event in Glasgow, Scotland.

The article notes that tickets for the 14,300 OVO Hydro start at  £300 ($323.19), with premium tickets topping out at more than £2,000 ($1,154.39), leaving some fans feeling priced out.

Obviously, since WWE was purchased by Enndeavor and placed under parent company TKO Group Holdings, the company has done everything it can in order to maximize revenue streams.  Ticket price increases have been part of that strategy, which has led to lots of live event, TV taping and Arena gate records being broken and touted as such.

The article quoted several fans, including one who has traveled to the United States for Wrestlemania in the past, as saying the prices were too high for the event and they'd stay home and watch the broadcast instead.
