WWE released an interview with Daniel Bryan and his wife Brie Bella from backstage after Raw where they reflected on Bryan's farewell speech, his emotional state during the day, not wanting to say goodbye but having to and more. This is really worth going out of your way to watch:
If you didn't get the chance to see the Daniel Bryan farewell speech last night, it truly was something amazing. Go out of your way to track down the entire speech if you can when Raw replays over the course of the week or the WWE Network when it is added to the VOD section. It was one of the most emotional moments in the history of not just WWE, but all of pro wrestling, at the level of the Ric Flair sendoff after Wrestlemania 24. Just an amazing speech by an amazing man and performer.
The speech and the news of Bryan's retirement has gotten a slew of mainstream media attention. I am really glad to see that as there's no question he's earned the respect with his body of work.
