WWE NXT REPORT: THREE POSSIBLE NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS IN ACTION, CHAMPION AND CHALLENGER AS A TAG TEAM, AN NXT DEBUT, AND MORE

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Tom Phillips and Corey Graves.

Match Number One Sami Zayn versus Adam Rose

They lock up and Rose with a waist lock but Rose with a wrist lock. Rose with a reversal. Zayn with an arm wringer and reversal into a wrist lock. Zayn with an arm bar. Zayn springboards over Rose and then takes Rose down with an arm drag and arm bar. Zayn with an Irish whip. Rose with a sunset flip but Zayn rolls through. Rose covers up and Zayn with a drop kick. Rose with a punch to Zayn and follows with elbow drops and punches.

Rose with a reverse atomic drop followed by a clothesline. Rose with a leaping knee drop and a forearm for a near fall. Rose with a reverse chin lock on Zayn. Zayn gets back to his feet and escapes. Rose with a knee to the midsection and Rose follows with a chop. Rose with a punch and chop in the corner. Rose with another chop but Zayn with forearms. Rose with a knee to stop Zayn. Rose with another chop. Rose with an Irish whip and Zayn goes to the apron.

Zayn with a shoulder from the apron followed by a forearm. Zayn goes up top and Rose hits the rope and Zayn falls to the mat. Rose goes up top and hits a diving head butt and Rose gets a near fall. Rose with a kick and punches. Rose argues with the referee. Rose chokes Zayn in the ropes and the referee warns Rose one more time. Zayn with a flatline into the Koji Clutch and Rose taps out.

Winner: Sami Zayn

Rich Brennan is in the interview area with Johnny Gargano and he asks Johnny about his match with Samoa Joe and if he is ready. Johnny says he knows what Samoa Joe is all about. He is a little upset he did not walk out of London the NXT Champion and he is taking it out on others. He is a bully. Joe thinks he will intimidate him, but he will not. You take care of a bully by walking up to him and punching him in the mouth. Joe better bring everything because Johnny says he is all heart. Johnny Wrestling will not back down.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Jason Jordan and Chad Gable are outside on the Full Sail campus. Chad says everyone is talking about tag team of the year in NXT and they weren't even nominated. Jason mentions that Blake and Murphy were nominated. Jason points out that they beat Blake and Murphy in London . . . in 2015. Chad says other teams were involved, so why not do it in a one on one match next week. Jason suggests they can beat another team of former champions. Chad says they will soon be the Alpha Males of NXT.

Jason points out that Chad represented the United States in the Olympics. Chad mentions that Jason tore it up in the NCAA. Jason suggests that since they are the Alphas of America. Chad calls them the American Alpha and he says that doesn't sound great. Jason loves it and Chad says that is why he said it. Chad says next week, the American Alpha will be ready . . . willing . . . and GABLE.

Match Number Two: Tye Dillinger versus Apollo Crews

They lock up and they go back and forth in the ring until Crews backs Tye into the corner. Crews with a clean break. Dillinger with a wrist lock and he keeps Crews from reversing the hold. Dillinger gets a near fall. Crews kips up and he reverses the wrist lock. Dillinger with a side head lock take down. Dillinger with a snap mare.

Dillinger gives himself a ten and then he does a victory lap in the ring. Dillinger with a side head lock. Crews with a drop kick and Dillinger backs into the corner. Crews grabs the leg while Dillinger was in the ropes. Dillinger with a kick and a front face lock but Crews counters with a delayed vertical suplex of his own and Dillinger tries to use his knees to stop Crews but Crews holds on and does a squat before hitting the suplex.

Dillinger goes to the floor and Crews goes to the apron. Dillinger drops Crews on the apron and then Dillinger hits a suicide dive onto Crews. Dillinger sends Crews back into the ring and Dillinger pulls the knee pad down and hits the falling knee to the temple but Crews kicks out.

Dillinger puts Crews on the turnbuckles but Crews with punches and he kicks Tye away. Crews with a spear and punches followed by an enzuigiri. Crews with the power bomb for the three count.

Winner: Apollo Crews

After the match, Crews gets on the mic and he says he has a lot on his mind lately. He does not like having a match end in a disqualification so he wants to finish what was started a few months ago. He says he knows he has not earned a title match, but he is asking for a one on one match against Finn Balor.

Alex Reyes is in the interview area with Wesley Blake, Buddy Murphy, and Alexa Bliss. Murphy and Blake comment on the new team name for Gable and Jordan.

Alexa takes the mic and she tells Blake and Murphy she has to be honest with them. She did not like how they humiliated her in London. You had a match and you went out there and blew it. Alexa says that they are so much better than what they showed in London. She says that while you were not on the top of you game, it took half the tag team roster to beat you. She is going to lead by example and team with Emma to beat Carmella and slap Bayley around. She says this is not going to be pretty. Alexa says it will be quite BlissTasteful.

We go to commercial.

We go to a video of the Vaudevillains but the music slows down and the film burns.

We take a look at the NXT show from Milwaukee when Kevin Owens confronted Sami Zayn after Zayn's match.

Match Number Three: Baron Corbin versus Rich Swann

Swann avoids Corbin when Corbin backs him into the corner. Swann with a kick to the leg. Corbin sends Swann into the corner but Swann escapes and punches Corbin. Corbin sends Swann to the mat. Corbin with kicks to Swann but Swann with a back heel kick. Swann flips over Corbin and hits a drop kick to the leg. Corbin catches Swann but Swann gets to his feet. Corbin with a back body drop and Swann flips over onto his chest.

Corbin with a hard Irish whip that sends Swann sternum first into the turnbuckles. Corbin with a quarter nelson and chin lock on Swann. Swann uses the ropes to escape and Swann with an elbow. Corbin misses a splash into the corner. Swann with a head scissors and drop kicks to Corbin. Swann with a back heel kick to the chin and Swann gets a near fall.

Swann goes up top and he leaps over Corbin but Corbin with a Bossman Slam for the three count.

Winner: Baron Corbin

Rich Brennan is in the interview area with Carmella and Bayley. Rich asks Carmella about becoming number one contender. Carmella is happy that she has a title match against her best friend. It is all about who walks out champion. Rich mentions their match tonight. Bayley says the match tonight is not about the title, it is about shutting those two women up.

Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson come into the interview area and they are applauding what they are saying. Dawson tells Carms that was amazing. She did the impossible, but just like Enzo and Cass, she will not win when it counts.

Dawson says she will put it plain, simple and direct. He hopes that they can stay friends because you are just like Enzo and Cass, all fluff and no stuff.

Bayley calms Carmella down and tells Carmella to take it out on Emma and Alexa.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Four: Emma and Alexa Bliss (with Dana Brooke) versus Bayley and Carmella

Emma attacks Carmella before the bell rings and then Emma and Alexa attack Bayley and Bayley holds her ribs.

The match officially starts and Carmella lets her injured friend Bayley start things off. Emma with forearms to Bayley and Emma kicks Bayley. Alexa tags in and Alexa with shoulders in the corner. Emma tags back in and she kicks Bayley. Alexa tags back in and they kick Bayley and send her to the mat.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Bliss with a key lock on Bayley. Alexa backs Bayley into the corner and then she mocks Bayley when she tries to make the tag. Alexa puts Bayley on the turnbuckles and Bayley kicks Alexa away. Bayley with a flying shoulder tackle from the turnbuckles and both women are down. Emma makes the tag and she knocks Carmella off the apron right before Bayley tries to make the tag. Bayley kicks Emma away and connects with a clothesline and double sledge.

Bayley with an Irish whip and shoulder into the corner. Bayley with a double jump back elbow into the corner followed by a suplex. Dana gets on the apron and distracts Bayley. Alexa pulls Bayley down by the hair but the referee did not see it. Emma with a cross body in the corner and she gets a near fall. Alexa makes the tag and connects with shoulders in the corner.

Alexa stands on Bayley's back and then jumps up and down on Bayley's back. Alexa returns to the key lock. Alexa runs Bayley into the corner and Emma tags in and hits a butterfly suplex for a near fall. Emma punches Bayley and the referee warns her. Emma backs Bayley into the corner and bayley fights out of the corner and Carmella is tagged in.

Alexa tags in as well and Carmella with a few Thesz Presses and punches. Carmella sends Alexa into the turnbuckles and then hits a head scissors off the turnbuckles. Carmella with a Bronco Buster but Emma tries to interfere. Carmella sends Emma to the floor. Alexa gets a near fall. Carmella with a flatline into a figure four head scissors and Alexa taps out.

Winners: Carmella and Bayley

Alex Reyes is in the interview area with Finn Balor and he asks Finn about Apollo Crews' challenge. He says he knows where Apollo is coming from. He talked to William Regal and they will settle this in the ring. Then there will be no doubt who the better man is.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Five: Johnny Gargano versus Samoa Joe

They lock up and Joe backs Gargano into the corner and Joe runs his forearm across the bridge of the nose. They lock up and Joe backs Gargano into the corner and Joe runs his forearm across the bridge of the nose again. They lock up again and Joe backs Gargano into the corner one more time. Joe runs his forearm across the face again but Gargano with forearms to Joe. Joe with a back elbow.

Joe with jabs but Gargano moves when Joe charges at him. Gargano with a drop kick that sends Joe to the floor. Joe kicks Gargano's feet and Gargano lands on the apron. Joe with a chop and jabs in the corner. Joe with an Irish whip and running splash into the corner followed by an enzuigiri in the corner. Gargano with a forearm and chops. Joe with a forearm and kicks to the leg and Gargano flips and lands on his head. Joe with a running boot that knocks Gargano out of the ring.

The referee starts his count and Gargano gets back in at nine. Gargano with forearms to Joe but Joe with slaps to Gargano but he misses a back fist. Gargano with a few enzuigiris and Joe sends Garagno to the apron. Gargano with a shoulder and a slingshot DDT for a near fall. Gargano charges into the corner but Joe sends him to the apron. Gargano goes for a slingshot flatline but Joe knows what is coming and he kicks Gargano in the head and then he puts Gargano in the choke and Gargano taps out.

Winner: Samoa Joe
