WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: IS THERE A FRACTURE IN THE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN BFFS?, WHO IS IN CONTROL WHEN IT COMES TO THE IC TITLE?, WHAT IS NEXT FOR THE WYATTS?, WHAT IS NEXT FOR TYLER?, AND MORE

We start off this week’s show with a look back at what happened on Raw when Roman Reigns was given a beating by Stephanie McMahon and the ultimatum made by Vince McMahon. Then we see how Roman was able to keep his job, and win the WWE Championship.

We are in Newark, New Jersey and your announcers are Rich Brennan, Jerry Lawler, and Booker T.

Roman Reigns’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring through the crowd.

Roman says winning on Monday felt so good. Doing on his little girl’s birthday was a Godsend. They have been working towards that moment for so long. He wanted to grab this and take it home to his family to show what they sacrificed for. He says he does not think he has too many days left in the WWE.

Roman mentions he speared Triple H and we haven’t seen him since. He Superman punched the Chairman of the Board, Vince McMahon. Roman tells the kids at home not to put hands on the boss. Roman says there will be repercussions on Monday, but since this is Smackdown, they need to have some fun. Roman says we did it.

Sheamus’ music plays and he makes his way onto the stage.

Sheamus congratulates Roman on becoming the new WWE Heavyweight Champion. Some may think he would come out here and be bitter, kicking and screaming and throwing his toys. Sheamus says he is happy for Roman. He wants Roman to savor every moment. It has already been more than five minutes and fifteen seconds, the shirts are still available.

Enjoy your time with the title because it won’t be too long before that belt is around his waist.

Roman tells Sheamus he is ready any time.

Sheamus says if it was as easy as him coming down there, he would do it. Roman has upset a lot of important and powerful people. Sheamus tells Roman he wouldn’t expect a Christmas present from the McMahon family. What made you think that you could assault Triple H and the Chairman of the Board, Vincent Kennedy McMahon and not face and repercussions.

Sheamus says that he stood up for Roman but the McMahons have started an investigation and Roman is on the sidelines. It means you cannot fight or make any challenges. You cannot even be in this building.

Sheamus says that on behalf of the power invested to him by the Authority, Roman has to leave right now.

Roman wants to know if Sheamus is serious.

Sheamus says he is not the bad guy, he is just the messenger.

Roman tells Sheamus if he wants him to leave, make him.

Sheamus says he loves Roman’s pride. He won’t take orders from anyone. It suits you so well. Unfortunately, Stephanie talked to him earlier and if you wouldn’t leave voluntarily, they would have to take alternative measures to make you.

Sheamus signals for security to come out. Sheamus says he will give Roman one more chance to leave on his own free will.

Roman does not move and Sheamus says he hoped that Roman wouldn’t leave. Sheamus tells Security to comes after him and one by one they come into the ring and they fail. Then two men are not enough. Roman fights off three and hits one of them with a Superman punch.

A final member of security comes into the ring and he tries to be nice and suggest that Roman leave the ring. Roman starts to walk away but it is just to set up a Superman punch.

We go to commercial with Ryback and Alberto Del Rio walking in the back.

Ryback says that Alberto Del Rio is nothing but a coward. He is an opportunist who takes advantage of the weak. When he is done with Alberto, he will wish he never came back to the WWE. The League of Nations can eat it because when the Big Guy is hungry, the Big Guy says Feed . . . Me. . . More.

Match Number One: Alberto Del Rio versus Ryback in a Non Title Match

They lock up and Del Rio with a side head lock but Ryback with a waist lock. Del Rio with a hammer lock into a side head lock. Del Rio with a waist lock. Ryback with a standing switch and take down into a front face lock. Ryback with a wrist lock and arm bar. Del Rio with a kick in the corner and then he climbs the turnbuckles to punch Ryback. Ryback grabs Del Rio but Del Rio gets to his feet and he connects with a thrust kick. Del Rio with a forearm.

Ryback with a body block and forearms to the back. Ryback presses Del Rio over his head and he drops Del Rio to the mat. Ryback with a shoulder in the corner and he puts Del Rio on the turnbuckles but Del Rio with a cross arm breaker in the ropes. Del Rio releases the hold and Del Rio with a drop kick to Ryback. Ryback goes to the apron and Del Rio with a running shoulder tackle that knocks Ryback off the apron and into the ringside barrier.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Del Rio with a double sledge from the turnbuckles and he applies a reverse chin lock and then chokes Ryback in the ropes. Del Rio with a reverse chin lock. Ryback punches Del Rio to get out of the hold. Del Rio with a kick and then he clips the left leg. Del Rio with a chin lock.

Ryback with a belly-to-back suplex but Del Rio holds on to the chin lock. Ryback punches Del Rio and he hits a slingshot belly-to-back suplex to get out of the hold. Del Rio and Ryback exchange punches. Del Rio pushes Ryback and Ryback pushes Del Rio to the mat. Ryback with a flying shoulder tackle and a splash. Ryback pounds his chest and he sends Del Rio into the turnbuckles. Del Rio with an Irish whip and Ryback with a back elbow.

Ryback with a missile drop kick and he gets a near fall. Ryback sets for the lariat but Del Rio ducks Ryback and hits a German suplex and gets a near fall. Del Rio punches Ryback and then stomps on the back of the neck. Del Rio sets for a super kick but Ryback blocks it and hits a spinebuster. Ryback pulls the straps down and he sets for the lariat.

Ryback hits the clothesline and he picks up Del Rio for the marching muscle buster but the music for Sheamus’ group plays and Sheamus, Barrett, and Rusev make their way to the ring.

Ryback gets distracted by all of this and Del Rio kicks Ryback in the back of the leg and Del Rio floats over into the cross arm breaker. Ryback tries to fight out of the hold but he eventually taps out.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

After the match Sheamus with a Brogue Kick to Ryback and then he rolls Ryback over for Rusev to stomp on his back and give him an Accolade.

Summer Rae is doing Tyler Breeze’s hair in the back. He says that those were the days. He mentions his opponent tonight, Titus Ugg’Neil. He says his dance makes him look like millions of dollars. Tyler says his face looks like billions of dollars. Summer says that Titus will need millions of dollars for reconstructive surgery.

Goldust sneaks into the room and Tyler wants Goldust to leave. Summer sprays hair spray at Goldust and Goldust barks and he leaves.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Tyler Breeze (with Summer Rae) versus Titus O’Neil

Tyler with a kick to the back of the leg and punches. Titus with a slam and Tyler wants the referee to get Titus off him because he is hurting him. Tyler uses the referee to help him hit an elbow and then Titus runs into boots from Tyler. Tyler chokes Titus in the ropes. Tyler with a drop kick.

Goldust makes his way to the ring and he sits down next to Summer.

Tyler punches Titus in the corner but Titus pushes Tyler away. Titus sends Tyler into the turnbuckles and then he chops Tyler in the chest. Titus with a boot to Tyler. Titus barks and he hits a splash into the corner. Tyler goes to the turnbuckles for a cross body but Titus catches Tyler and hits a few back breakers and then tosses him aside. Titus misses a splash into the corner.

Goldust takes some selfies using Tyler’s phone and Tyler forgets the fact that he is wrestling someone and he focuses on Goldust. Goldust goes to the ring and he takes a selfie with Tyler and then Titus with Clash of the Titus for the three count.

Winner: Titus O’Neil

We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time to take a look at what happened with Kevin Owens since he lost the Intercontinental Title to Dean Ambrose.

Renee Young is with Dean Ambrose in the interview area. Renee asks Dean about Kevin’s comments about putting Dean in an institution to get the Intercontinental Title back. Dean says Kevin will need to go to the drawing board again. Dean says Kevin cannot get inside his head. Dean says Kevin can power bomb him a dozen time and they can wipe up his remains and mail them to Kevin Owens.

All Kevin has to do is ask for a title match. Being Intercontinental Champion means laying it on the line 365 days a year. He will lay it on the line. Kevin’s master plan to drive him crazy or insane . . . good luck.

We take a look back at what happened with the Wyatts and the former ECW wrestlers on Sunday at TLC and Monday on Raw.

We go to the Wyatt Family who are in their inner sanctum.

Bray says extreme means to push ones self beyond that of ordinary men. No matter how hard you push yourself, when you come face to face with fear, extreme just isn’t enough.

Luke says pain is temporary but fear lasts forever.

Erick says that you can search for the light but all you will find is darkness.

Braun says he finds solace in the muffled screams of those who take their last breaths in his arms.

Bray says he is not of this world. They do not obey your rules or conform to your society. Sleep with one eye open and know that they are everywhere and they can never stop. He tells everyone to run.

The New Day are in the ring and Xavier Woods say the Lucha Dragons and Usos disrespectfully rejected their offer of friendship on Monday night. They know why. Big E says JEALOUSY.

Xavier says everyone in this building and everyone on this planet is jealous of the New Day. Xavier says they are pretty fantastic. Kofi says that they are also sultans of style. Kofi mentions the stylish unicorn horn, available on WWEshop.com. Kofi shows that it lights up.

Big E says they are the hottest thing you have ever seen since the Kwam and that is they created the Unikwam.

Xavier points out that they are winners.

Big E tells everyone that if you missed their match at TLC, they won.

Kofi says they would like to get back to doing what they were doing before they were so rudely interrupted . . . celebrate.

Xavier says that he wants to address the tweets appreciating their dancing. Xavier says it is not for those who do not understand the Power of Positivity. It is for them, not you.

They say New Day Rocks and they dance until the Lucha Dragons come out and interrupt them.

Match Number Three: Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods (with Big E) versus Kalisto and Sin Cara

Woods and Cara start things off and they lock up. Woods backs Cara into the corner and he punches him. Cara with a springboard moonsault onto Woods for a near fall. Cara with a wrist lock and he chops Woods. Cara with a snap mare and he tags in Kalisto and they kick Woods and then Cara with a wheelbarrow to Kalisto and Kalisto with a senton for a near fall. Woods with a punch but Kalisto with a kick and he trips Woods and Cara tags in and hits a slingshot senton and he kicks Woods.

Cara with a Gory Special and Kalisto tags in and he hits a drop kick while Woods is on Cara’s back. Kalisto with a near fall. Kalisto with an arm bar on Woods. Kalisto with a wrist lock and Cara tags in and he goes up top and continues to work on the arm. Cara with a kick to the midsection.

Cara with a rolling fireman’s carry slam and then Kalisto tags in and Cara with a monkey flip to Kalisto for a splash on Woods for a near fall. Cara tags back in and he connects to the arm. Cara with a wrist lock and Kalisto kicks the arm. Kalisto with an Irish whip and he tries for a monkey flip but Woods puts Kalisto on the turnbuckles. Kofi distracts Kalisto and that allows Woods to push Kalisto off the ropes and to the floor.

We are back and Kofi with a quarter nelson and chin lock on Kalisto. Kalisto with punches and Kofi sends Kalisto shoulder first into the ring post. Kofi kicks Kalisto in the corenr and he tags in Woods. Woods kicks Kalisto and Kofi tags in and kicks Kalisto. Woods kicks Kalisto. Kofi with more kicks to Kalisto. Kofi Irish whips Woods into Kalisto for a drop kick and Big E claims the trombone is broken.

Woods with an elbow drop to Kalisto and he gets a near fall. Woods with a cobra clutch. Kalisto punches Woods and Woods with a thrust kick to the midsection followed by a running knee for a near fall. Kofi tags in and he slingshots into the ring and connects with a boot to the back and he gets a near fall. Kofi with a quarter nelson and chin lock. Kofi trips Kalisto and Woods tags in and hits a running flatline and gets a near fall.

Kofi tags back in and he has Kalisto in a chin lock. Kalisto with kicks but Kofi with a knee and shoulders in the corner. Kofi puts Kalisto on the turnbuckles and he punches him. Kalisto punches Kofi and then Kalisto with a cross body and both men are down. Woods distracts the referee and Big E pulls Cara off the apron. Kofi with a clothesline to the back of the head and he punches Kalisto.

The New Day dance in and out of the ring and Cara with a plancha onto Kofi on the apron and he takes out Big E as well. Kalisto with a sunset flip power bomb to pin Kofi for the three count.

Winners: Kalisto and Sin Cara

Dolph Ziggler is in the interview area with Renee Young.

Renee brings up what happened to him on Raw. Dolph wonders why he keeps hearing collateral damage. He is in the background and tries hard but does not get the job done. He is in the background of matches. Kevin Owens does not understand that all of the titles he won meant something to him. The Intercontinental Title means more to him than anyone else. What really matters is every night, he tries to outdo and prove himself. He does it not only for himself, but for the WWE Universe and the locker room. He says that he dares everyone to follow him.

Dolph says it is on him for being in the background for not winning that match. Dolph says he does not take days off, he does not call in sick, and he does not lose his smile. Dolph tells Kevin Owens he dares him to try to top him or try to stop him or try to hang in the ring with him. Dolph says that he dares Kevin.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see that Naomi, Tamina, and Sasha Banks are in the front row with their signs and their music is playing.

Match Number Four: Brie Bella versus Becky Lynch

Brie with a kick but Becky with an Irish whip. Brie sends Becky to the apron and Becky with a forearm. Brie sends Becky into the turnbuckles and she kicks Becky off the apron. Brie goes to the floor and she sends Becky into the apron. Brie gets in the face of Tamina, Sasha, and Naomi and then returns to the ring. Brie with a kick and elbows to the collarbone. Brie with a chin lock trapping the arm.

Charlotte’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring.

Becky with forearms and a European uppercut. Becky with clotheslines and a drop kick. Becky with a double jump side kick but Brie blocks it and sends Becky to the mat. Brie goes to the turnbuckles for a missile drop kick and she connects. Becky is knocked into the ropes by Charlotte and Brie with the running Brie Mode knee and she gets a near fall. Becky with a wrist clutch exploder for a near fall.

Becky with a forearm into the corner and a double jump side kick. Brie sends Becky into the ropes and Brie with a kick. Becky pushes Brie into the ropes and Charlotte trips Brie. Becky with the DisArmHer and Brie taps out.

Winner: Becky Lynch

After the match, Charlotte comes into the ring to celebrate with Becky.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Becky and Charlotte are in the back and Becky is not in a good mood.

Charlotte points out that Brie tapped out again. Becky says they won on Monday because her dad interfered. She was happy to take up Brie on her challenge, but Charlotte helped her win tonight.

Charlotte says she has Becky’s back. Becky says that is not having your back. Becky says she wants to go out there and the result will be on her merits. Charlotte tells Becky she wants her to win. Becky wants it to be on her back. Charlotte tells Becky she did not want her to lose.

Becky asks Charlotte if she thinks that Becky cannot win on her own. Charlotte says that is not what she meant but Becky says that is what Charlotte meant.

Kevin Owens walks in the back and JoJo stops him and says that Dolph Ziggler is looking for revenge. Kevin says Dolph wants revenge, but this is not what about what Dolph wants, it is about what he wants. Kevin says he wants his Intercontinental Title back. Kevin says he does not want it back, he needs it back. It is in the possession of a cockroach named Dean Ambrose. Dean can survive almost anything, but Dean cannot survive him.

JoJo asks Kevin about Dolph Ziggler. Kevin says he heard what Dolph had to say. Dolph has to save face for what happened to him on Raw. That is a big mistake because now bad things are going to happen to him. Kevin asks JoJo if she remembers him saying that he won’t stop until he puts Dean in an institution. Tonight, he is not stopping until he puts Dean in a hospital.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we are told that The New Day will be defending the WWE Tag Team Titles against The Lucha Dragons.

Match Number Five: Dolph Ziggler versus Kevin Owens

Ziggler punches Owens as the bell rings and he punches him in the back of the head. Owens pushes Ziggler away and then Ziggler with more punches. Owens throws Ziggler to the mat and then he kicks Dolph in the back and ribs. Owens yells at Ziggler and then he sends him into the turnbuckles. Owens with a forearm to the back and a kick to the head. Owens picks up Ziggler by the hair and then he connects with a forearm.

Owens punches Ziggler. Ziggler with elbows and punches followed by a kick. Owens with a back elbow. Owens with a forearm to the back. Ziggler with a kick and he sets for a super kick but Owens goes to the floor. Ziggler goes to the apron and Owens pulls him to the floor. Ziggler punches Owens and slams Owens’ head into the apron. Ziggler punches Owens and then he goes for a hesitation DDT but Owens catches him and goes for a Fallaway slam into the ringside barrier.

Ziggler gets to his feet and he hits a Zig Zag that sends Owens’ head into the ringside barrier. We go to commercial.

We are back and Owens with a crossface to the head and then he applies a reverse chin lock. During the break, Owens with a DDT as Ziggler tries to get back into the ring. Ziggler with elbows but Owens sends Ziggler to the mat and hits a back senton and gets a near fall. Owens with a chin lock and then he kicks Ziggler in the back of the leg to get him to the mat. Owens with forearms to the base of the neck and then he applies a rear chin lock.

Owens with an elbow to the back of the neck. Ziggler gets out of a belly-to-back suplex attempt and Ziggler with a rollup for a near fall. Ziggler with another rollup for a near fall. Owens goes for a shoulder in the corner but Ziggler moves and Owens hits the ring post shoulder first and Owens falls to the floor.

Owens gets back into the ring and Ziggler with a clothesline and he backs Owens into the corner and hits a neck breaker. Ziggler with a leaping elbow drop and he connects and he goes for two more. Ziggler holds his neck and he sets for a super kick but Owens blocks the super kick and Owens with a belly-to-belly suplex and he gets a near fall. Owens goes up top and Ziggler leaps to the turnbuckles but Owens gets to the mat and he drops Ziggler on the turnbuckles and he hits a German suplex and follows with a cannonball for a near fall.

Owens picks up Ziggler by the neck and he sends him into the ropes but Ziggler holds on to the ropes and he connects with an elbow. Ziggler goes for the hesitation DDT but Owens pushes him away. Ziggler with a kick to the leg and he goes for the Fameasser but Owens moves. Owens goes for the pop up power bomb but Ziggler leaps over Owens. Ziggler with a super kick.

Ziggler gets a near fall. Owens with a punch and Ziggler with a punch. Ziggler with a head butt and he tries for a Zig Zag. Owens pushes Ziggler away and then he sends Ziggler over the top rope to the floor with a back body drop. The referee checks on Ziggler and Owens goes to the floor and he picks up Ziggler and slams his head into the announce table and he connects with forearms.

The referee warns Ziggler and then Owens is about to go back into the ring but he attacks Ziggler and hits him with forearms to the back of the head. Owens throws Ziggler over the announce table and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler (by disqualification)

After the match, Owens argues with the referee and the he takes the cover off the announce table. Ziggler leaps off the announce table onto Owens. Owens sends Ziggler into the ring steps. Owens looks around and he pushes over the top ring step. Owens sets for a power bomb onto the ring steps.

Dean Ambrose’s music plays and that means that Kevin has to stop and go into the ring to meet Ambrose. They exchange punches. Owens has a clothesline blocked and Ambrose goes for the double underhook DDT but Owens gets away and goes to the floor.

Ambrose wants Owens to come back and he thinks about it, but he sees Ziggler walking up the ramp and Owens with a super kick to Ziggler.

Ambrose goes to the floor and Owens backs up. Ziggler gets up and Dolph with a super kick to Ambrose.

Owens laughs at what he just saw while the announcers wonder if Dolph meant to super kick Ambrose.

We go to credits.
