WWE NXT REPORT: JOE VS. CIAMPA, MATCHES MADE OFFICIAL FOR TAKEOVER, WERE THE VAUDEVILLAINS READY WILLING AND GABLE?, AND MORE

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Rich Brennan, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton.

Match Number One: Baron Corbin versus Tye Dillinger

Corbin wants Dillinger to come at him and Dillinger gives a ten signal. Dillinger with chops but Corbin with a spinning side slam. Corbin with clotheslines in the corner and he sends Dillinger to the mat. Corbin with a knee to the midsection followed by a slam and kicks to Dillinger. Corbin puts his knee on the back of Dillinger’s head and the referee warns him.

Corbin waits for Dillinger to get up and he misses a clothesline. Dillinger with an elbow and boot. Dillinger with a chop and Thesz Press and punches. Dillinger has a super kick blocked but he connects with a second attempt and gets a near fall. Dillinger comes off the turnbuckles and Corbin catches him and hits End of Days for the three count.

Winner: Baron Corbin

Kyle Edwards is with Apollo Crews and he asks him about his match next week with Finn Balor against Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin. Crews says that he is not as concerned about Finn Balor’s condition. He is concerned about whether he will be able to contain himself from ripping Baron Corbin’s head off. They are one step closer to eliminating Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin and figuring out who is the number one man in NXT.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Tommaso Ciampa is in the interview area with Alex Reyes. Ciampa is asked about Samoa Joe’s change in attitude. He says he has known Joe for years. Joe was always a loner but he was a dangerous man. It is something in his eyes. If there is one thing more dangerous than a dangerous man, it is a man with nothing to lose. He does not have a Title Shot over his shoulder. There is not one person in the arena who believes that he can beat Samoa Joe, but he can. When he beats Samoa Joe tonight, everything changes.

Match Number Two: Nia Jax versus Blue Pants

Blue Pants avoids Nia on lock ups and he appears to have fun at Nia’s expense. Nia with a punch and then she stands on Blue Pants’ hand. Nia tosses Blue Pants by the hair a few times. Nia tries for a slam but Blue Pants escapes and she kicks Nia. Nia with a shoulder breaker followed by elbow drops. Nia sends Blue Pants into the turnbuckles and hits a splash. Nia with a Samoan drop followed by a leg drop and the three count.

Winner: Nia Jax

Tom Phillips had a chance to talk to Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder. Scott says last week’s win was in the past. They are looking to the future. Tom asks them about their tactics and that they like to hurt people. Dash says if the tag title belts are the consequences of their actions, they believe them. Tom asks about being attacked by Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady.

Scott brings up that they were cheap shotted and they have no respect for the Catchphrase Kings. Dash says they have done nothing to earn their respect.

Tom mentions that they will be facing Enzo and Cass in London.

Dash wants to know why because they have not beaten them to earn a title shot. Scott says that they are the best tag team so if Enzo and Cass want a shot, they are welcome to it. Scott tells Cass that he has another knee and the trip home will be tough when you are sitting in coach. They are going to stuff Enzo in the overhead compartment.

Dash says they will be walking out the tag team champions and Enzo and Cass will be lucky to be walking at all.

Match Number Three: Adam Rose versus James Storm

They lock up and Storm backs Rose into the corner and Storm with a clean break. Rose pushes Storm and pie faces him. Storm with an uppercut and side head lock. Storm with a shoulder tackle. Storm blocks a hip toss and sends Rose to the mat with a hip toss of his own. Rose goes into the ropes and lulls Storm to connect with a clothesline. Rose with an elbow to the chest followed by a forearm to the back and he gets a near fall.

Rose with a cobra clutch and Storm gets to his feet and Rose has Storm on his knee. Storm punches Rose and Rose wit a clothesline. Rose tries to send Storm over the top rope but Storm skins the cat and hits a running forearm and a reverse atomic drop and clothesline. Storm gets sent to the apron and Storm with an enzuigiri and he hits a running neck breaker. Storm sets for a super kick and he connects for the three count.

Winner: James Storm

Simon Gotch and Aiden English are in the interview area with Alex Reyes and they are asked about their loss last week. Aiden says the disappointing part was walking away without the tag titles. Simon says that Jordan and Gable are two of the finest athletes in NXT, but they are former tag team champions and they will win.

Jason and Chad walk by and they say they are pretty good. Some would say they are great. Jason says they will be what Aiden and Simon were, champions. Chad says the real winners will be the fans for watching two great teams. Chad says they will see them out there because they are Ready, Willing, and Gable. They offer their hands and English and Gotch shake them.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a Sami Zayn video package for his return.

Match Number Four: Aiden English and Simon Gotch versus Jason Jordan and Chad Gable

Gotch and Gable start things off and Gable with a waist lock and take down. Gotch tries to escape and Gable holds on to the superior position and gets a near fall. Gotch with a cross arm breaker but Gable rolls up Gotch for a near fall. They go to a Greco Roman knuckle lock and Gable with a take down and he works on the leg. Gable with a leg sweep and a step over toe hold.

Gable tags in Jordan and Jordan with a front face lock into a suplex attempt but Gotch escapes and English tags in. Jordan with a waist lock take down and he gets a near fall. Jordan with a waist lock and he takes English back to the mat and gets a near fall. Jordan with a side head lock. Jordan catches English on a leap frog attempt and English with a sunset flip for a near fall. English with Japanese arm drags into an arm bar and pose.

Jordan with an Irish whip and English poses in the corner. Jordan with an atomic drop to the knee and a dragon screw leg whip. Gable tags in and he hyperextends the knee and gets a near fall. Gable gets sent over the top rope to the floor. Jordan checks on his partner but he is sent back to his corner.

Gable returns to the ring and English gets a near fall. Gotch tags in and they punch Gable in the midsection and then the temple. Gotch gets a near fall. Gotch with a quarter nelson and chin lock. English tags in and he applies a rear chin lock. Gable tries to make the tag but English stops him. Gable with a fireman’s carry and Jordan tags in.

Jordan with clotheslines to Gotch followed by drop kicks to English and Gotch. Jordan sends English to the mat and then he hits an overhead head and arm suplex. Jordan with a shoulder in the corner followed by Grand Amplitude for the three count.

Winners: Jason Jordan and Chad Gable

After the match, Jordan and Gable celebrate in the ring and the offer their hands to English and Gotch.

English and Gotch walk out of the ring.

Emma and Dana Brooke are asked about their attack on Asuka. Dana says that was their wake up call to Asuka. They are not scared of Asuka and they are not going to run away. Dana says she was hoping that Emma was not going to let up on Asuka because she was going to take care of her.

Emma says last week was just a warning because the next time she gets her hands on Asuka, you don’t want to know. She has a match to get to and she tells Dana to cool off in the back.

Dana taps the interviewer on the head and she says she feels so much better.

We are back with a Elias Samson video package with a musical performance.

Match Number Five: Emma versus Liv Morgan

They lock up and Liv with a clean break. They lock up and Emma pushes Liv away against the ropes. They lock up and Emma grabs Liv by the hair and sends her into the turnbuckles. Emma sends Liv’s face into the turnbuckles. Emma with the Tarantula and the referee warns her. Emma with a running cross body into the corner and the referee holds Emma back.

Emma with a snap mare using the hair followed by a kick to the back and then she stands on Liv’s hair to stretch her. Emma with a knee to the head and she slaps and kicks Liv. Emma with a kick and forearms in the corner. Emma chokes Liv. Liv pushes Emma away but Emma with a front face lock. Liv with a guillotine and she rolls through and then hits a drop kick. Emma with an Irish whip but Liv kicks Emma away.

Liv with a jackknife cover and Emma bridges out and connects with a forearm to the back. Emma with a butterfly suplex and then she curb stomps Liv’s head into the mat. Emma with the Emma Lock and Liv taps out.

Winner: Emma

After the match we see Asuka on the HunterTron and she tells Emma she will see her in London. Asuka then returns to kicking the heavy bag.

Alex Reyes is with Bayley and he asks her about her recent title defenses as well as the post match attack by Nia Jax. Bayley says Nia made her intentions clear. If Nia wants a title match, she will accept the challenge because of how she had to claw to get to the top.

Nia walks into the interview and she stares at Bayley and then walks away without saying a word.

Bayley says she is willing to accept any challenge and . . .

Nia comes back and throws Bayley into the wall.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Six: Tommaso Ciampa versus Samoa Joe

Joe teases a kick and Ciampa avoids it. They try to lock up but Ciampa backs off. They lock up and Joe backs Ciampa into the corner. Ciampa pushes Joe away when he does not break. Ciampa has something to say to Joe. They lock up and Joe backs Ciampa into the corner. Joe with a wrist lock out of the corner and he starts to work on the shoulder. Ciampa with a forearm but Joe works on the shoulder. Joe with a chop.

Joe wraps the arm in the ropes and he connects with an elbow and gets warned by the referee. Joe with a snap mare and then he applies an arm bar. Ciampa with forearms and a chop but Joe with a forearm while Ciampa chops Joe and Ciampa is down in the corner. Joe returns to the shoulder and wrist lock. Joe picks up Ciampa by the arm. Ciampa with slaps to Joe and Joe slaps back. Joe with more slaps to Ciampa and Ciampa has to cover up in the corner.

Joe with a head butt and Ciampa goes back into the corner. Joe with an Irish whip but he misses an elbow. Ciampa with a rollup for a near fall and then he kicks Joe in the arm. Ciampa with a flying divorce court on Joe and he gets a near fall. Joe slaps Ciampa and then misses a punch. Ciampa with a forearm and slaps followed by an enzuigiri. Joe gets Ciampa on his shoulders and Ciampa with elbows. Ciampa with a guillotine.

Joe escapes the hold but Ciampa with forearms and he applies a Kimura but Joe runs Ciampa into the corner. Joe with an enzuigiri in the corner and Ciampa is down. Joe with an Irish whip and a power slam out of the corner. Joe with jabs to Ciampa followed by punches in the corner and a few knees. Joe with a face wash with the boot before setting for the running boot and Ciampa gets out of the way.

Ciampa runs into an STJoe. Joe puts Ciampa in the corner for the Musclebuster and Joe hits it and he chokes out Ciampa.

Winner: Samoa Joe
