CZW STREAMING SITE LAUNCHES ON ROKU, FREE MONTH, CAGE OF DEATH UPDATES & MORE CZW NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2015-11-26 09:45:00
Combat Zone Wrestling officially launched a Roku Channel yesterday, allowing (with a subscription) the ability to stream just about every CZW event ever as well as their sister promotion Women's Superstars Unleashed, Pennsylvania's Legacy Wrestling and NYC's Five Borough Wrestling via VOD.  You can sign up for a free month of the service now at www.CZWStudios.com using code CZWONROKU.  I streamed some of the shows last night just to test the service and had a pretty perfect stream via my Roku box with no buffering and everything streamed in HD.

Live CZW and WSU events will continue to stream via iPPV at www.highspots.com.

The next live iPPV being the 2015 Cage of Death event in Voorhees, NJ on Saturday 12/12.  The show will be headlined by CZW champion Matt Tremont vs. Devon Moore vs. AR Fox vs. Masada inside the COD.  Also announced for COD is:

*CZW Tag Team champions Team Tremendous vs. BLK Jeez & Pepper Parks.

*Joe Gacy vs. Tim Donst: I Quit Match.

*Danny Havoc vs. Rickey Shane Page: Deathmatch.

CZW will be running a full day's worth of events at COD, including a meet & greet at 1 PM, followed by a Dojo Wars event at 2 PM featuring students from the CZW Academy.    CZW will also be doing a Toys for Tots drive with local Marines at the event accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for local needy children.

CZW is already planning on taking the month of January 2016 off in terms of live events.  During the hiatus, DJ Hyde plans to re-assess his plans and creative strategy going forward.    There were several recent talent losses that caused major changes in the promotion's long-terms plans, including Speedball Mike Bailey informing the company that he was heading to Mexico to tour for several months and obviously, the Nick Gage legal situation, which is still up in the air after Gage, who was out on probation, was taken back into custody for some sort of violation.  Hyde intends on looking into some fresh talent that he can bring in as well as strategize plans for the year, feeling that coming off their biggest show of the year is a good time to let the audience take a break for a month.

One of the plans in place for 2016 is to expand the Dojo Wars.  CZW has been really happy with the success of the smaller events thus far and are looking at moving them to a larger venue and out of the CZW Academy in Blackwood, NJ.

While nothing has been announced, I'd be shocked if Sami Callihan doesn't return here now that he's gotten a requested released from WWE.

Lio Rush has been getting high grades for his work here.   Expect him to get more of a push going forward.

There's talk of Tony Nese working here soon.
