According to Ric Flair on his latest Woo Nation podcast, WWE did not contact him about using his late son Reid as part of the storyline during this past Monday's segment with Charlotte and Paige. Flair said that he cried when he heard Reid was referenced.
Ric said that he didn't want to voice anything negative to affect Charlotte's standing in the company. He said that his daughter is at a position in her career where she can't say no for fear of rocking the boat. It's still a raw topic.
Flair said if he was a fan he wouldn't like it. However, he feels that it brought intensity to the angle but he would' not have done it. Flair says he's not mad at WWE feeling that the company has Charlotte's best interests in mind. There's no problem with him and the company and he will be at Survivor Series on Sunday. The Hall of Famer puts this in perspective saying considering the attacks in France what's more important, that promo or those attacks. He says that people will forget about the angle when the women have a good match on the pay-per-view.
