So RAW was another mediocre night, horrible tournament presentation, Taker and Kane destroyed Wyatts (no need to wait til Survivor series??), Big Slow gets usual heat for being boring etc etc. But WWE gets some mainstream pub from Man U. captain being involved. Will Vince call that a successful night?  If he does then doesn't that play into the larger issue that he thinks a B-grade celebrity or athlete makes his un-entertaining show watchable and that "wrestling" fans care about that type of garbage? Or is it just more of the same old "Vince is just so out of touch with the current fan base" and thinks it's 1986 and the general population stills cares about that stuff?

Honestly, I think all of the above. I can’t disagree with anything you said.

With the Royal Rumble PPV in Orlando this year, do you see a sizable NXT presence in the Rumble match?

Sizable? No. I don’t see what sense it makes putting guys that the WWE fans barely know, if at all, into the match, only for them to lose. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a debut or two (Baron Corbin would make sense given his size) but I don’t see it being sizable.

Judging from the way his character has developed in front of every NXT fan's very eyes, could a case be made about him being one of a very rare kind, the kind of a pure heel? If Breaking Point is indeed mostly real, what he portrays seems not much more than his real-life personality with the volume way up.

Speak of the devil! Yes, he definitely comes across as a pure heel and that is the best way to portray him. There is no reason to try and make him something that he isn’t, at least not early on. If he gets over to the point where the fans turn him, then they can address it then.

Would you agree with me? Was McMahon a strong commentator in your opinion?

I always enjoyed him. He could be hokey and over-the-top at times, but he always knew exactly what his vision was and how to get it over. And he didn’t mind playing the foil to heel commentators.

With the so-called "reality generation" in full swing, do you think some kind of continuity manager on the writing staff would help focus things? If WWE is a never-ending story being told, and the network having the company/business' history just a touch away seems like it would be useful to find a way to play to the smart fans and upgrade the way they integrate the past into the present/future.

It would be a great addition, provided that Vince McMahon actually let the person do their job. Too often, he does things that don’t make sense and feels that it doesn’t hurt the stories at all. I disagree with him there.
