DAWSON & WILDER VS. VAUDEVILLAINS, SAMOA JOE, EVA MARIE & MORE: 11/12 WWE NXT IN WINTER HAVEN, FL LIVE REPORT

By Andrew Twiss on 2015-11-13 01:12:36

Here are full results from NXT Live in Winter Haven, FL for 11/12/15

- Enzo Amore def. Tucker Knight - Decent opener. Tucker showed some good power offense and it was probably the best he's looked in the ring. Enzo gets the win with a jumping DDT from the second rope.

- Asuka and Gionna Daddio def. Cameron and Emma - Fun match. Most of it was spent with the heels trying to avoid Asuka and working over Gionna. Gionna continues to impress me considering how little time she has been in the business. Asuka eventually gets the hot tag, clears the ring, and makes Cameron tap to the Asuka Lock.

- Dasha Fuente brings out Josh Woods for a promo. Dasha lists his various MMA accomplishments. Woods talks about how big NXT is and all of the stars like Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens (he's a little late on that one), and Asuka. Solomon Crowe comes out and is offended that Woods didn't mention him and feels disrespected. Crowe slaps Woods, but as he goes in to attack, Woods trips him and puts him in a leglock. Crowe escapes, but is upset and calls for a ref. There's going to be a match.

- Solomon Crowe def. Josh Woods - Decent stuff. Crowe always does well when working with the younger talent. Woods is starting to pattern his ring style as that of a submission fighter, working various holds. Woods looked pretty good here.

- Apollo Crews def. Elias Samson - Another good match. Apollo was on fire tonight and won with the standing moonsault.

- Jason Jordan, Chad Gable, and Adrienne Reese def. Blake, Murphy and Alexa Bliss - Match of the night. Crowd was hot for this match. The two teams mesh really well together. Blake and Murphy can keep up with Jordan and Gable's speed and they bump like crazy. The women were okay in this match. You can still tell Alexa has a hard time working at Adrienne's speed, but they were still pretty good in the ring.

- Angelo Dawkins comes out and says that he is the curse of greatness and the ring is Dawkins Island. He says it's on lock down 24/7 and challenges anyone in the back. This leads to....

- Samoa Joe def. Angelo Dawkins - Not the total squash you might imagine. Dawkins got some offense in, but this was mostly the Joe show. It went about 5-6 minutes, but it was interesting seeing Joe work a match against a talent he probably wouldn't work more than a squash match with on tv.

- Tye Dillinger def. Tino Sabbatelli - OK stuff. Tino dominated a majority of the match. He looked good out there. He absolutely has a good look going for him and a great physique. He's slowly starting to put the pieces together. Still, the match was decent and you can't go wrong when you're in there with Dillinger.

- Eva Marie def Aliyah - Awful match. Not good at all. I really want to give Eva the benefit of the doubt and try to see the positive in her, but this wasn't the match to do it. Eva is limited enough as is in the ring and having Aliyah with her isn't going to help matters. At one point, someone next to me said "Is this match happening in slow motion?" and I had been thinking the same thing. The bumping looked bad, Eva's taunting seemed completely unnatural, both looked tentative and the match just went on too long. The only plus side to this was that Eva wasn't booed out of the building during her entrance. So that's something.

- Main Event Tag Title Match: The Vaudevillains def. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder by DQ - Aiden English was selling the knee throughout the match. The early parts of the match had Gotch doing a lot of the work since Aiden was limping around. This more of a straight wrestling match with a lot less of the comedy antics these teams usually get into. The Vaudevillains looked to have the match won, but Wilder pulled the ref out of the ring to get disqualified. Dawson and Wilder continued to work English over until Enzo Amore made the save. The Vaudevillains hitthe Whirling Dervish on Dawson to send the crowd home happy.

Notes:

- Meet and Greet before the show was Blake, Murphy and Alexa Bliss.

- Josh Woods is a former 4 time All American amateur wrestler for the University of Central Florida (which also happens to be my alma matter). He has also competed in MMA.

- NXT returns to Winter Haven on January 14, 2016.
