As PWInsider.com reported several weeks back, Orton suffered a shoulder injury, which is why he was written out of storylines following an off-screen attack by The Wyatt Family.
In an article posted this evening, WWE reported that Orton suffered a dislocated shoulder with a subsequent MRI discovering a Bankart lesion in his shoulder, some stretched ligaments and a partially torn rotator cuff. WWE Doctor Steve Daquino told the website that another dislocation is just a matter of when, not if, so Orton is likely to have surgery.
The 4-6 month timetable would mean Orton would be pushing it to return in time for Wrestlemania 32. Orton has had a history of shoulder issues over his WWE career.
