THE DEVIL IN PRO WRESTLING, POFFO IN A SUIT OF ARMOR, WWE SIGNING MADA AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2015-10-31 10:00:00
Very happy to see Mada from Tough Enough signed to NXT. His promo ability looked like he has the charisma to be a main roster talent. If he develops in the ring, I think he could be a star. Your thoughts?

I agree. Having interviewed him before one of the Tough Enough broadcasts, I can tell you he absolutely has the passion for the business. He also has size and a passion for it. Time will tell how he does but all the elements are there.

I know the average NXT contract is a developmental contract. Meaning guys report daily for training, promo class, etc. But what about a guy like Samoa Joe or James Storm? Are the required to go to "class" so to speak or are they just contracted talent for tv and house shows?

We don't have any confirmation Storm has signed a deal. Joe has been seen at the Performance Center but doesn't have to be there daily. He came in on a specific deal but not one that sees him considered a developmental talent.

Is it true Lanny Poffo used the wrestle in a suit of armor?

Poffo wore a suit of armor as a gimmick during some come as you are Bunkhouse Battle Royals in the late 1980s but beyond that, not that I am aware.

Now that we know when Wrestlemania goes on sale, will AXXESS, Hall of Fame, etc. also go on sale at the same time?

No, those likely won't go on sale until early 2016.

What are you dressing as for Halloween?

Likely, a guy giving out candy to trick or treaters!

Has anyone ever played the devil, like the actual devil, in pro wrestling?

Well, Jim Mitchell did, but some might say he WASN'T acting....
