2002 - WWE ran Helsinki, Finland with a Smackdown brand live event.  Starbuck filed the following live report:

WWE Smackdown event, Helsinki FINLAND
October 24, 2002
Hartwall Arena
Report by Starbuck, www.stonerkings.net

(1) Billy Kidman over John Cena with the shooting star press. Cena plays heel, nothing special, a few high spots, OK overall. *3/4

(2) Funaki and Shannon Moore over Albert and Crash Holly when Funaki pins Crash with a cradle. Just did not click well and dragged in spots but the Finnish crowd was into the Albert big man stuff. Albert turns on Crash after he loses and the face team makes the save. *1/4

(3) D-Von pinned Bill DeMott after a charging Hugh Morrus crashed into an exposed turnbuckle head-first when D-Von evaded. Feet on the ropes to make for a cheap finish. Bad match. Ron Simmons interfered throughout. "I see there's 90% white people in the audience..." claimed Reverend D-Von. No sheezit, we be up north brother! Way north. 1/2*

(4) Jamie Noble pins Tajiri in the 2nd best match of the night. Cruiserweight title on the line, and the finish comes after Tajiri attempts a move that Noble turns into a cradle hold for the pin. Lots of chain-wrestling early, well executed, solid storyline. Tajiri's kicks looked rather pulled in many spots. Nice tornado DDT by Tajiri near the end. No valets or managers at ringside tonight. ***

(5) Brock Lesnar over Booker T with the F-5 in a match for the WWE Championship in under 10 minutes. Brock takes the mike and claims scheduled opponent Undertaker is not here tonight because he put him out of commission at Hell In A Cell. Not a lot of substance in this match, but Booker was over. Poor looking ax-kick by the Book tonight and a botched spinaroonie! Lots of Booker T chants. *3/4

(6) Eddie and Chavo Jr. over Big Valbowski and Chuck Palumbo in a match that DRAGGED early on. Tons of CHEAP heat. Way too much stalling and posing for a 15+ minute match. Match picked up when Latino Heat started working over the leg of Big Val. Val attempts the money shot on Eddie but Chavo clips his leg on the top rope and Val catches his leg between the ropes on the way down. Eddie applies a leg lock and yanks back on the limb in a move that really is not a move and Val submits. Lots of cheap heat playing with the Swedish and Finnish flags. **1/4

(7) Rikishi over Matt Hardy in a Kiss My Ass match. Crowd was WAY into Rikishi and absolutely everything he did. Literally every motion garnered a response. Riksihi is the next Dusty Rhodes at this pace, especially with his flip/flop/fly jabs and body language charisma. Inverted cradle piledriver by Rikishi puts away Matt Hardy in an entertaining comedy match. Finish looked great. Asinine comment of the night by the ref: "Matt Hardy, if you don't come back to the ring (and kiss Rikishi's ass) I will suspend you indefinitely!" Since WHEN do referee's have the authority to suspend wrestlers? Hello! Matt comes back and gets the stinkface. *3/4

(8) Torrie Wilson defeated Dawn Marie in a Bra and Panties Match. Quick match with Torrie losing her top and Dawn losing top and bottom. Bad looking action, but T+A is what this is about and so it doesn't really matter. They would have been better off doing a bikini contest between the two. Torrie was super-hot as always. I had to mark out for Ms. Wilson, as she gets my vote for the best eye candy out there. Lucky guy, that Kidman fellow. 1/4*

(9) Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit over Edge and Rey Mysterio Jr. in the match of the night in about 20 minutes. Tag straps on the line. Edge was in most of the way. Great stuff, solid house show main event and most certainly the tightest match of the night. Good psychology, flowing action, showmanship kept to a bare minimum. Not a PPV caliber match, but a satisfying finale at least for this spectator. Angle nails Rey in the head with the tag belt to allow Benoit to pin him after a springboard Mysterio huracanrana. Not the best heat for the match as fans were more into the gimmickry and showmanship vs. the actual wrestling content. It's no surprise these guys are in the position that they are in. ***1/2

After the main event the heels beat down the faces and they send Rikishi out to make the save. The locker room empties out and for a second we have a free-for-all that subsides with Cena being left in the ring to be fraternized. Crowd eats it up as all the faces in the ring take turns rubbing their asses into Cena's mush before a couple of heels pull him out prior to the Rikishi stinkface. Crowd loved it but I found it too homoerotic for my tastes. Granted, if Torrie would have been giving stinkfaces I would have volunteered!

This was the first show ever for the WWE in Finland and we had 11 000 people showing up in a 14 500 capacity arena. Tickets were ridiculously expensive, ranging from 60 Euros to 30 Euros to 20 Euros. Super hot crowd reacted to everything, like a virgin experience (as it was). To close shop the faces all danced in the ring like the Backstreet Boys and took turns showing their moves and even inviting some fans into the ring to have some fun. Seems everybody went home happy even though the heels dominated tonight.

BIGGEST POPS - Rikishi (loudest pop, best heat)
- Booker T
- Edge
- Kurt Angle (LOUD intro music YOU SUCK chants)
- Ring announcer (after mugging to the crowd after rolling around on the mat with Torrie and Dawn)

2002 - MTV aired Tough Enough 3.  Buck Woodward filed the following TV report:

ough Enough 3 for October 24th began with a recap of last week's casting special.

For those that don't remember, here are the 13 contestants for this season:

First, the ladies:
Rebekah
Lisa
Jamie
Jill
Kelly

And the gentlemen:
Scott
John
Jonah
Eric
Matt
Justin
Chad
Nick

The show begins with the cast checking out their mountainside home.  Everyone started claiming beds, and for the first time on Tough Enough, we had men and women sharing rooms.  Jonah and Jill shared a room, and the two are apparently friends, despite having a brief affair (Jonah had a girlfriend) in the past.  We had our first hot tub moment.  Everyone basically hung out, but it seemed Scott was getting on the nerves of some of the housemates from the start.  Apparently, he needs better people skills.  Matt felt Scott just says and does things for attention.

Jill, who made it on the show despite having wisdom teeth pulled right before the tryouts, was still in a lot of pain, with her mouth bleeding.

The group went to Traxx, and each spraypainted their name on the wall.  They went to work on taking bumps, and Al Snow had them take bumps off the back of Bill DeMott, rolling over him. Jill had a lot of problems, in part due to her mouth pain.  Scott took a horrible bump, practically kicking DeMott twice.  DeMott rode him to the mat, shoved his forearm in his face, and told him he will not get hurt because of him.  Scott seemed to be on a bad path as they went to commercial.

After the break, we see Jill still having trouble because of her mouth.  Bill DeMott took her to the side and told her she needed to pick up her pace, despite the pain, to survive.  Scott could not get the bump right, going over Al this time.  Bill said Scott was a "spaz", who you thought would almost do it, but never did.  The other contestants were not only annoyed by his inability to do the bump, but also that it was cutting into their training time.  Al ordered him from the ring.  Scott said he knew he was in trouble.  He called his parents, who were riding him about going to college.  He also told his parents that he signed a contract that he would go to jail if they told anyone he was in the competition (yeah, right).

Jonah was checking out Jill, as the group went out with Big John for his birthday.  The group was joking around during dinner.  Scott said he knew he was different from the rest.  John asked who would quit, and the group felt none of them would, but John pointed out that someone would, because someone always does.  Scott admitted that he turned to alcohol at this time.  After dancing and drinking, the group returned to the house.  Scott, in a drunken stupor, went for a leak with the door open.  The housemates seemed to be in agreement that he was annoying.  We saw Scott passed out on the couch as they went to break.

Back from break, we see Scott sitting outside.  Some of the guys were talking to Jonah about his past relationship with Jill.  Jill finally found out now that Jonah has a girlfriend (and had one back then too) and got upset with Jonah.  Jill called her parents, and told them she wanted to quit.  Jill called Big about quitting.

At Traxx, Big had her sit in front of the room, and allowed the cast to say something to her.  One commented that she was wrong to quit now, after seven others were cut from the list of 25.  Another commented that she was glad to see her go, since it was one less person to compete with.  Jonah said Jill should do what makes her happy, but he wanted her to stay.

Big John then went off on her, upset at himself that he sent seven others home in favor of her, and she was quitting on the second day of training.  She was dismissed, and Al Snow painted over her name on the wall.

The group went to work on their bumps, and Scott finally got it right.  Comments from the competitors about getting along with Scott, and Scott saying he hopes they will understand him, ends the show.

Comments: Well, so much for any sexual tension with Jonah and Jill. ... Jill was earning my respect for working through her mouth pain, then just gave up.  If her main reason for quitting was because Jonah had a girlfriend, then she needs to grow up.  Either way, if the seven who did not make the cut ever bump into her on the street, they will probably have some choice words for her. ... Scott's attitude in the house is a nice side story, but his real problem is how poorly he did with the bumps.  If he doesn't catch on quicker, he'll be cut soon. ... Not a lot to say about the others, as we are still in the "getting to know them" phase.

2002 - WWE broadcast Smackdown.  Dave Higgins filed the following TV report:

Smackdown for 10/24 started with Matt Hardy coming to the ring to face Rikishi.

- Matt Hardy vs. Rikishi.
Matt tosses his shirt at Rikishi before the bell, Rikishi wipes his rear with it.  Rikishi gets in control, but Matt goes to the eyes and hits a top rope clothesline for two.  Matt hits a neckbreaker, but Rikishi knocks him down and sets for the Stinkface, but Matt escapes with a low blow.  Matt goes for a Twist of Fate, but Rikishi spikes him with the Rikishi Driver for the pin.
Winner: Rikishi

After the match, Big Show runs in a and interrupts Rikishi's dancing with a chokeslam. He gets on the mic and said he wanted to make an impact, and that he is challenging Brock Lesnar.

We see that Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman have just arrived.

Stephanie McMahon is in the ring, to present a trophy to Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit for being the first Smackdown tag champions.  Angle and Benoit fight over the trophy, and argue over who carried the team, and end up accidentally knocking Stephanie down.  Stephanie slaps both of them, and says tonight they will wrestle for the now-broken trophy.

- WWE Cruiserweight Champion Jamie Noble vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri.
Noble comes out in an Elvis getup.  Tajiri starts with the kicks, and puts on the Elvis glasses.  Tajiri ties Noble to the tree of woe, and kicks him.  Noble manages to counter the Tarantula.  Tajiri tried to kick Nidia, but ends up kicking the post.  Noble attacks the leg, but Tajiri grabs a small package for a two count. Tajiri takes over with kicks, and rams Noble into Nidia.  Tajiri rolls up Noble, but Nidia interferes to help Noble get the roll up for the pin.
Winner: Jamie Noble.

Dawn Marie is looking for Torrie.  She tells her that she is sorry about what happened with Al, and that she really cares about him, but is going to break things off with him.

Eddie and Chavo Guerrero go to Kurt Angle and tell him that Chris Benoit wants to take him out.

- Edge & Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie & Chavo Guerrero.
Usual great work in this match.  Towards the end, Edge gets the hot tag and hits a double faceplant to Chavo and Eddie.  Eddie stops Rey from doing a 619, and Edge hits the spear on Chavo, but Eddie breaks it up. Rey uses a bodyscissors to pull Eddie from the ring.  Edge and Rey hit a powerbomb/springboard senton to take Chavo down.  Eddie breaks up the pin with the slingshot somersault senton on Edge, and puts Chavo on top.  Eddie is looking to the crowd, while Rey  hits a springboard legdrop on Chavo, and Edge covers for the pin.
Winner: Edge & Rey Mysterio

Undertaker tells an assistant to tell Brock Lesnar he will be waiting in the ring for him.

Undertaker calls out Lesnar from the ring.  Paul Heyman comes out and says that Lesnar will not come out, then the WWE Champion does just that, taking off his shirt and getting in the ring.  Taker says that he could have beaten Lesnar if his hand wasn't broken, but that is no excuse.  He also says that he is used to the headgames, and that he was the one that brought his personal life into wrestling.  He says Brock was the better man at the PPV.  Lesnar takes the mic and says that he was all business, and they only used Sara because he knew he needed an edge against Taker.  Lesnar leaves, and Taker starts to talk as if he is retiring.  Big Show interrupts, saying Taker's body has slowed down because of him beating him down for years.  Show says he is the reason Taker could not beat Lesnar. Show says Taker is a "broken down has-been".  Taker says he would rather be that, then a "giant that never was".  Taker starts to leave, and three times catches Show sneaking up on him.  Show finally exits, and Taker salutes the fans, only to have Show come back out and attack him, slamming him off the stage.

Stephanie McMahon, Arn Anderson, Terry Taylor, Dean Malenko, Johnny Ace and Sgt. Slaughter, along with a ton of officials, go to help taker.  They put him on a stretcher, but he gets off, and stumbles off on his own.

Dawn Marie has Funaki (NUMBER ONE SMACKDOWN REPORTER!) get Al Wilson.  She tells Al that their age difference is a problem for Torrie, so they need to break up.  She tells him how incredible he is, and they kiss.

- Billy Kidman vs. John Cena.
Back and forth match, which sees Kidman get the pin on Cena with a rana, grabbing the ropes for leverage.
Winner: Billy Kidman.

After the match, Cena screams at the referee and destroys Kidman, tossing him into the ring steps.

Marc Lloyd interviews Brock Lesnar about Big Show's challenge.  Brock wants to know where Funaki (NUMBER ONE SMACKDOWN REPORTER) is.  Brock says if Show wants an answer, he is not hard to find.

Eddie & Chavo talk to Chris Benoit.  Eddie says he messed up earlier, telling Angle what he did.  He tells Benoit that he really just wants to be Benoit's friend.  Benoit doesn't appear to buy any of it, but then says he may be right when he said Benoit wants to hurt Angle.

Big Show goes into Lesnar's dressing room, and after intimidating Heyman, goes face to face with Lesnar.  Lesnar accepts the challenge.

- Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit.
Angle brought the trophy to ringside. Great match, with Benoit diving across 2/3rd's of the ring to hit a flying headbutt at one point.  Towards the end, Angle hits the Angle Slam, but Benoit kicked out.  Angle went for the ankle lock, but Benoit reversed into the Crippler Crossface, but Angle got out.  Benoit went to the ropes, but Angle hit the running the ropes belly to belly suplex, but Benoit kicks out.  Eddie Guerrero gets on the apron, distracting the the ref.  Chavo runs in and hits Angle with the belt.  Benoit, not knowing what happened, covers Angle for the pin.
Winner: Chris Benoit.

After the match, Benoit sees the Guerreros, and looks confused.  Angle attacks Benoit from behind and hits the Angle Slam.  Angle then destroys the trophy and walks off.

2008 - Ring of Honor ran Danbury, CT.  Stu Carapola filed the following live report:

I'm horrible at estimating crowd sizes, but this seemed to be a small crowd in the 500 or so range.

-Show opened with Jimmy Jacobs coming out to cut a promo about how nothing matters, but he was interrupted by Homicide, who came out and, in his own unique vernacular, asked Jimmy what had happened to the lucky go, happy kid that he was when Homicide left.  This led to the rest of Age Of The Fall coming out and attacking Homicide, with Ruckus running out to make the save.  After asking about Julius Smokes, who apparently could not make the show because he had been "pulled over", this leads into Ruckus beating Jason Blade in a decent opener.  Blade was getting a lot of heel heat, and Ruckus was really over with the crowd.

-That match was followed by Sara Del Rey defeating Portuguese Princess Ariel.  Sara has really gone in a different direction with her new look and character, with a cold personality kind of like the Terminator.  Match was only about five minuntes long, and Sara put Ariel away with her butterfly powerslam.  Ariel looked good and she has this unique cute quality that I think would make her a favorite with kids.

-Rhett Titus defeated Grizzly Redwood to retain the Top Of The Class Trophy.  Rhett was attacked before the match by Daizee Haze, who came out of the crowd in street clothes.  ROH security pulled her off and dragged her to the back.  I really liked how both Rhett and Grizzly have developed, they've both got entertaining characters that connect with the fans.  Rhett scored the win, and Daizee came out and attacked him again after the match and had to be dragged away again.

-Brent Albright defeated Jay Briscoe in a somewhat disappointing match.  I think this could have had the chance to be better than it was if it was given more time and was higher on the card, but this was a slow paced match with a lot of restholds.  Things picked up toward the end, and Albright put Briscoe away clean with the half nelson suplex.  After the match, Brent Albright challenged Larry Sweeney to send out one of his guys for Albright to beat up, and Sweeney, predictably, sent out Bobby Dempsey.  Dempsey hesitantly made his way to the ring, obviously scared out of his mind, and Albright told him to stand up for himself because the fans love him and he doesn't need Larry Sweeney.  Albright then took off after Sweeney, leaving Dempsey in the ring with the fans chanting his name.

-In a wild No DQ match, Necro Butcher picked up a win over Delirious and Mark Briscoe.  Delirious is doing a phenomenal job being this wretched creature who was once happy and full of life, but has his soul crushed by things he has experienced and is now just filled with pain.  Necro Butcher and Mark Briscoe were over as always.  Delirious attacked Briscoe before Necro even came out to the ring, but Necro came out and started laying everyone out, then the match quickly spilled out of the ring and into the crowd.  They brawled right through my section and over to the bleachers, where Mark hit a moonsault off the top of the bleachers onto Delirious.  While this was going on, Necro took a piece of the barricade into the ring along with several chairs.  All three got back into the ring where they were just killing each other, including Mark hitting as stiff a chairshot as I've ever seen right on Necro's head, and the crash of the chair hitting Necro's skull was very loud, and it made me worry for the guy that he takes shots like that so regularly.  Necro ended up getting the win after hitting the Tiger Driver on Delirious.

-After intermission, we returned with Jerry Lynn taking on Claudio Castagnoli, but before the match even started, Prince Nana came out of the crowd and got in the ring.  He grabbed a mic and said that he had lost his throne and all his money, and was begging ROH to take him back, even pleading with Jerry Lynn to help put in a good word for him.  He ended up getting escorted out by security and the match was allowed to begin.  Jerry wrestled circles around Claudio early, and then Claudio took over and started brutalizing Lynn with European uppercuts and punches to the ribs.  Claudio spent much of the match working over Lynn's knee, but Lynn caught him with the Jack Brisco sunset flip out of the corner for the win.  Claudio celebrated his loss by trashing the ring announcer's table.

-Go Shiozaki defeated Austin Aries to retain the FIP Title in a really good match.  Aries was able to get out of the way of several chops from Shiozaki early on, but Aries was distracted by Larry Sweeney on the outside, allowing Shiozaki to take over.  From there it turned stiff, as each man started laying in stiff chops and forearm shots to one another.  Aries eventually took over and had Shiozaki in the Horns Of Aries several times, but Go made the ropes each time.  Finally they went up to the top and Shiozaki hit an amazing Falcon Arrow suplex off the top rope for the clean win.  Very impressive outing by Shiozaki, and nice to see him start winning more consistently.

-In the main event, LAX won the Iron Team Match over Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black, Chris Hero & Davey Richards, and ROH World Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen & El Generico, who did not bring the belts to the ring with them.  The rules were announced as being a standard tag match for the first 20 minutes, and then Scramble rules for the last 10.  Shockingly, LAX were the ones who lost the first fall when Tyler Black hit Homicide with a Phoenix Splash to win a fall.  Just seconds after this first fall, we hit 20 minutes and went to Scramble rules and everybody was in the ring.  It was a real sight to see.  Hero & Richards scored a fall when Richards forced Steen to tap out to a Texas Cloverleaf, and then shortly after that, LAX scored a win over AOTF to make it a three way tie.  In the closing minutes, Homicide hit the Cop Killer on Jacobs to go up to 2 falls, and then just rode out the clock to pick up the win, with the final score being LAX 2, AOTF 1, Richards/Hero 1, and Steen/Generico 0.  Steen & Generico shook hands with LAX and left the ring, and Homicide got on the mic and put over ROH as having the best fans in the world and to keep supporting the company, and to also make sure to be in New Jersey the following night to see LAX take on the Briscoes to find out who the best team in the world is.

-Just a few other notes, I liked the venue a lot, it was a smaller venue reminiscent of ROH's shows from 2005 and earlier before they really started growing, and even the people in the general admission bleachers had a great view of the action.  It was also very easy to get to from the Interstate, which is always a plus, especially when compared to places like Boston where you get off the highway and spend half your life driving through the town to get to the place.

Hernandez seemed to be nursing a sore knee, it was pretty noticeable how he was limping around, though I don't know how it'll play into tonight's match with the Briscoes.  He was still able to toss around everyone pretty good, so I would doubt too much.

2008 - Multiple news outlets in Mexico were reporting that Dos Caras Jr., despite denials, has in fact signed a contract with the WWE starting in January and he would be making his debut at the Royal Rumble.   While he did not appear at the Rumble, Caras Jr., now billed as Alberto Del Rio, would indeed become a major part of WWE in the years to come.

2008 - Chicago-based Sports Publishing, which released autobiographies on a number of professional wrestlers, including Terry Funk, Tito Santana, Harley Race and Dusty Rhodes, officially filed for bankruptcy.

2008 - WWE broadcast Smackdown.  Mike Grimaldi filed the following TV report:

 -"In Memory" of Leah Maivia
-WWE Open
-Smackdown Open

-Jim Ross welcomes us to Laredo and hypes the Undertaker/Triple H main event.

-"King of Kings" music hits and Triple walks out to the ring half dressed for his match.  Triple H asks if anybody in the crowd is as sick of Vickie Guerrero as he is.  He says it's not just her voice or that she in an "annoying hag" and then says that well, most of it is because she's an "annoying hag."  His main problem with Vickie is that she thinks she can tell everyone what to do, and while he doesn't mind when she does it to other people, when she does it to him, he's got an issue.  He says that he knows everyone is thinking that Vickie will come out right now and he'll get in trouble with her, but not to worry, he saw a giant Twinkie truck pull up before he came out, so she'll be "grazing for hours."  HHH points out that in 48 hours he has to defend the title against wither Jeff Hardy, Vladimir Kozlov or both and tonight he's in a match with the Undertaker because it benefits the agenda of Vickie Guerrero because he and Taker will try to destroy each other and there's a chance he might not even be able to make it to Cyber Sunday if that happens which would mean all the fans votes would be for not.

Jeff Hardy's music hits and he makes his way to the ring as HHH looks on, not very pleased.  Hardy says that he thinks he knows the WWE fans better than HHH does and is confident he'll be voted in at Cyber Sunday and if he is, it's very possible that he will leave the WWE champion.

Since as HHH pointed out last month, no one can get a full thought out, Kozlov's music plays and out he comes to the top of the ramp.  Kozlov says that the fans won't vote him in because they know he would beat HHH, but that will only delay him becoming champion for a short time.  Triple H says that he didn't understand a word Kozlov said, but either way at Cyber Sunday, "this is going to happen" and HHH promptly hits the Pedigree on Jeff Hardy.  Tazz says, "I didn't see that coming."  Helen Keller calls Tazz a moron.

-JR and Tazz run down the text options for the WWE title match at Cyber Sunday.

-Backstage, HHH is walking down the hallway and the lights flicker out.  Triple H looks back and when he turns forward, Undertaker is in his face.  They have a stare down.

BREAK (keep in mind that since this isn't the MyNetwork TV feed, sometimes I get the part where the breaks happen wrong)

-WWE Rewind has the "Divas Las Vegas" match from last week.

1. Michelle McCool and Maria vs. Natalya and Maryse-  Before the match, pop up Gregory Helms, which apparently is now called the "Hurrapop" comes up and he says something about Divas, but he's "just sayin'."  Michelle and Maryse start off and Michelle gets a few quick near falls.  Michelle then does a backflip off the middle rope while holding on to Maryse's arm, into an arm drag (at least it didn't take he 10 seconds to set up like Kelly Kelly's backflip spots).  Natalya provided a distraction to allow Maryse to take advantage.  Natalya was tagged in to throw some shots in the corner and then quickly tagged back out.  Out of no where, music started to play and cut to the entrance where Jesse was leading Festus, dressed in a mariachi band get up, to the ring, along with a full mariachi band.  Michelle was distracted by this, as was her tag partner, and Festus presented Maria with a flower.  Michelle tried to make a tag to Maria, but Maria wasn't paying attention, which gave Maryse the opportunity to roll Michelle up and get the pin.  Of course, ending the match, the bell sounded and that set Festus off, who chased the mariachi band around the ring and back up the ramp.  Michelle was not pleased.

BREAK

-Did You Know WWE Magazine sells more copies at newsstands that SI and ESPN Magazine combined?  I bet subscriptions have nothing to do with that.

2. Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely vs. Carltio and Primo- Non title match-  Chavo and Carlito started out, with Chavo getting a headlock.  Carltio got out and hit a standing dropkick.  Primo got the tag and came running off the ropes with a diving headbutt after Carltio had taken Chavo down.  Chavo made the tag out to Bam who came in firing away with punches.  Bam whipped Primo into the corner but Primo did a tip up in the corner and went over the charging Bam, but then was quickly taken off his feet by a running shoulder block from Bam.  Chavo and Bam were jawing back and forth to each other about getting the job done, and Primo was allowed to make the tag.  Primo and Carltio hit a double suplex on Bam.  Chavo came in and was hip tossed onto his own partner.  Carlito powerbombed Primo onto Bam but on the subsequent cover Primo only got a one count.  Chavo got the legal tag back in.  He whipped Primo to the corner but got caught coming in with a back elbow.  Primo went to the top but Bam came up the apron so Primo jumped off and hit bam with a double axe handle blow, the distraction was enough to allow Chavo to catch Primo with the rolling Liger kick and Chavo got a near fall.  Chavo asked Bam what he was doing and Bam asked for the tag back in.  Primo was backed into the corner of Chavo and Chavo tried to choke him from the outside, but Bam came running in and Primo moved cause him to collided with Chavo.  Primo got the tag to Carltio who came in with a rather awkward looking springboard somersault dive onto Bam then a big knee lift and a clothesline and finally a roll of the dice neckbreaker which got him a near fall that Chavo broke up.  Chavo yelled at Bam to get up and "get him."  Chavo and Bam argued some more until Chavo slapped Bam which sent Neely off.  The distraction allowed Carltio to hit the backstabber from behind and get the pin.  Chavo yelled back at Bam.  "Hurrapop" came up with Helms saying "if you guys break up, I just don't think I could bear it...I'm just sayin'"

-Kizarny vignette (Apparently these haven't been on the international feeds yet, so this probably already aired) with Kizarny at the carnival saying (translated) "Rides, fun, cotton candy?  What is not to like?"

BREAK

-John Cena video with all the great "entertainment superstars" talking about him.  It has only been two months he's been out, right?

-Backstage Michelle and Maria are bickering in some horribly acted altercation  Maria says her "friend" is very upset and she needs to talk to him while Michelle says she needs to focus (were they going for the non-existent Divas Tag Titles or something?).  Maria runs off to find Festus, while Primo is trying his magic on Brie Bella.  Carltio comes in to cock-block Primo, they argue in Spanish and Brie has to run off for a photo shoot.  Carltio tells Primo that it's his fault she left.  The mariachi band comes running through with Festus chasing them as Primo and Carltio jump to get out of the way.  Hmmm...brothers fighting over a chick that happens to have a twin...I be Tazz doesn't see where this is going either.

BREAK

-A rewind gimmick moment of where we were introduced to Funaki's full name, "Kung Fu Naki."  A side note, this finally puts to bed my hope from the RVD vs. Funaki battle over the "Whole F'n Show" vs. the " Whole F'n Sho."

3. R-Truth and Kung Fu Naki vs. MVP and Shelton Benjamin-  Hurrapop asks where MVP's inflatable entrance tunnel is, "lemme guess, you lost that too.  I'm just sayin'."  No annoying "Gold Standard" promo form Shelton this week and Fu Naki has a rip off "Kung Fu Fighting" theme song now and he wears a gui.  Also, at Cyber Sunday, you can choose who Shelton will defend the US title against.  This is another WWE.com vote and the choices are:  R-Truth, MVP or Festus.

Truth goes to start out with MVP, but MVP wants Kung Fu Naki.  Fu Naki obliges and goes off with some old school generic Japanese guy "martial arts blows" and then a Ricky Steamboat like arm drag.  MVP calls for a time out and tags the US Champ in.  Benjamin comes in and gets caught with a kick to the cut and Fu Naki tags in Truth.  Truth goes for a move but gets countered in to a back suplex by Benjamin.  Shelton gets Truth into the heel team's corner and MVP tags in.  MVP hits a big belly to belly over head throw followed up by a clothesline to get a near fall on Truth.  Truth comes back with the corkscrew forearm to take MVP down allowing Truth to tag in Fu Naki.  Fu Naki comes in with a chop off the top rope onto MVP and follows that up with some kicks and a double thrust chop that leads to a near fall broken up by Shelton .  Truth comes in and knocks Benjamin out of the ring and MVP proceeds to toss Truth out of the ring.  Fu Naki loads up for the Karate Kid Crane Kick and catches MVP when he turns around with it and gets the pin, much to Fu Naki's own surprise.

-Backstage to Colon Brothers are bickering some more and Primo wants to go up to a girl he sees but Carlito says he's been here longer, so he should get the shot at her.  Carlito decides to let his younger brother go first and Primo walks up to, who he thinks is Brie Bella trying to put the moves on her.  Bella, who is on her cell phone seems creeped out and blows Primo off.  Carlito asks what happened and Primo says he thinks he's in love.  The Great Khali and Ranjin Singh come in to the picture and Singh translates to Primo that The Great Khali says Primo has no game.  Khali and Singh depart to head to the ring while Primo says that "those guys...are cool" which gets the brothers arguing again.

BREAK

-Khali and Singh make their way out for Khali's Rick Rude impersonation.  Singh has a giant back that says "US Mail" (sadly, it didn't read "US Male" and then Curtis Thompson would be revealed to be in it) full of letters that he dumped out in the ring, which he claimed were love letters that have been sent to Khali.  To make a long segment short, Singh read two letters, one was from a gay dude (haha!  gay humor...oh that WWE), then Sing brought two chicks from the crowd into the ring, one kinda hot, the other morbidly obese.  Singh said anyone can kiss the hot one, but it takes a real "Giant" to kiss "that one" (so apparently he was supposed to kiss Barack Obama?!?).  Khali kisses the fat girl and we all go home happy...or someone on the writing crew does...I have no idea who though.  Had he been asked to run a girls feet, I would have thought David Lagana was rehired...wait what?

BREAK

-Another Kizarny vignette airs (which again could have already aired), this one he says (translated) "The side show is here.  Real Fun."

-JR and Tazz run down the main matches for Cyber Sunday.

-Undertaker cuts a backstage tight shot promo about how Vickie and Show think the have sealed his fate at Cyber Sunday, but in fact it is he would will seal theirs' and tonight Triple H will walk with him into the darkness.

BREAK

5. The Brian Kendrick (w/ Ezekiel Jackson) vs. Super Crazy-  Crazy comes out with some energy and is apparently angry that he got squashed last week by Zeke.  The ref pulls Crazy off of Kendrick who was in the ropes.  This allows Kendrick to hit a leg lariat on Crazy and the quickly nail "The Kendrick" for the pin.  After the match, Zeke plants Crazy with the ura nage slam for good measure.

BREAK

-Quick video with wrestlers talking about the recent Mexico shows.

6. Triple H vs. The Undertaker-  Taker starts out locking on a side headlock and then takes the Game down with a big shoulder tackle.  Triple H then locks in a side headlock but gets shoved off and taken down with another shoulder tackle.  Deciding that wouldn't work, HHH then kicks Taker in the gut and backs in into the corner with punches.  Taker then comes out and tosses HHH into the corner and starts whaling away on him.  Taker whips HHH into the far corner and comes running in with a clothesline that sends HHH to the mat and Taker gets a 2 count on the subsequent cover.  Undertaker goes to work on HHH's left arm.  He applies a hammerlock on the mat, then adds a half nelson into a pinning attempt and gets a 1 count.  Taker drops his leg on the arm and goes for another cover, which yields another 2 count.  Taker goes for "Old School" but HHH prevents him from getting to the top.  Taker is staggered and HHH catches him from behind with a chop block to the left leg.  Triple H goes to work on the leg but Taker kicks him off.  The both hit the ropes and a double clothesline knocks both men down.  They both get back to their feet and trade punches, with Triple H getting more blows in, but HHH sells to the mat when Taker lands a punch.  Taker backs HHH into the corner and headbutts him.  Taker hits "snake eyes" on HHH, but "fighting spirit" (that's what no selling is called now, right?) allows HHH to get up quickly and hit a big high knee to take Undertaker down and he gets a two count on a pin fall attempt.  HHH hits a face buster and goes for the Pedigree but Taker blocks and double legs HHH and then slingshot's him into the corner.  Taker the channels Hogan and hits a big boot followed by a leg drop for a near fall.  Undertaker goes for "Old School" again, but this time gets crotched (or as Todd Grisham would say, "just got the capital of Thailand ") on the top rope.  Triple H superplexes Taker off the top and gets a near fall.  Taker gets back to his feet and HHH clotheslines him over the top rope and to the floor but Taker lands on his feet.  Undertaker pulls HHH out of the ring and HHH gets sent into the ring steps.  Taker hits his leg drop on HHH on the apron and then gets in the ring for a quick cover and a 2 count.  Undertaker signals it's over and goes for "The Last Ride" but HHH slides out and hits a neckbreaker coming down, again for a near fall.  Taker comes back with his running/leaping clothesline for...you guessed it, a two count.  Taker sets up for the choke slam but HHH blocks it with a boot to the gut followed up by a spinebuster for another near fall.  Taker sits up and he goes for the chokeslam again and HHH blocks it and goes for the Pedigree, which Taker blocks, who then goes for a tombstone, which HHH blocks.  Triple H has Undertake back into the corner and gets on the second rope for the 10 count punches; but after a few shots Taker picks him up and hits the Last Ride.  At this point, both men are down so after about 15 minutes of a legit match, here comes the Big Show to cause the DQ.  Show goes after Taker and pummels him in the corner with big right and left handed body blows.  Triple H has retrieved a chair and hits Show over the back with it, which Show sells...a little.  HHH tries to run at Show with the chair but gets caught and chokeslammed.  Show then takes the chair and hits Taker in the gut and then over the back with it, before laying him out with a (blocked) chair shot to the head.

BREAK

Back from break we see HHH trying to get up and Ross tells us that Taker had already been able to leave the ring.  As replays are shown of Show taking HHH and Undertaker out, Kozlov's music hits and he marches to the ring.  Triple H tries to fight him off but Kozlov traps him with the Al Snow headbutts and then hits the running headbutt before laying out the WWE Champion with the slop drop (they need to give Kozlov's finish a name).  Kozlov stands over the champion as Ross is left to wonder if HHH stands any chance at Cyber Sunday.

This brought out Buddy Landel who demanded that he be named the champion since he never lost the title 17 years ago when the TWA folded. Joel Goodheart asks the crowd if Landel should be named the champion and they replied yes. Goodheart went with the crowd and gave the TWA title to Landel. Landel proceeds to call out, Glen Osbourne, his opponent for tonigh. Landel asks Goodheart to make the match between the two a title match. Goodheart then declares that the TWA title will be on the line in their match.

Overall the show was family friendly and very enjoyable.

2009 - TNA ran Racine, Wisconsin.   Jason Bennett filed the following live report:

Just got back from the TNA Show in Racine, which is about 30 minutes from where I live. Was my first time seeing a TNA event Live, and it was one of the best wrestling shows I've ever been to.

It was held in a old hall in the downtown part of the city, set up for about 500 people on the floor with a additional 250 up on the balcony. All the floor seat where full, and the balcony was prob half full, so all in all about 650 people there. JB was there doing all the announcing, and Earl Hebner was signing autographs during breaks. Anyways on to the results:

Match #1: Kip James VS Alex Shelley. Kip came out to pretty much no pop, and personally I was not happy to see the guy on the card. Shelley came out to a huge pop, and a ton of "Motor City" chants. Match was slow throughout with James pretty much doing holds on Shelley. Actually got started a pretty big "You're a Janitor" chant mid way through the match. Shelley won with a Slice Bread in what was one of the least exciting matches of the night.

Match #2: Kiyoshi VS Shark Boy: Kiy got a ton of heat and a few US chants, all the little kids in the audience where pretty much going crazy for Shark Boy. Fun match though, really fast paced, and Kiyoshi got the win after using the ropes to get the pin fall.

Match #3:ODB VS Allissa Flash: Everyone went crazy for ODB, when Allissa came out I think I was the only one there actually cheering for her. Another solid match with some comedy spots with Hebner grabbing ODB's chest, and ODB spanking Hebner. ODB got the win.

Match #4: Rhino VS Matt Morgan: Rhino came out to a huge pop, and Morgan came out to a few cheers, but nowhere near Rhino's. Rhino got on the Mic, and pretty much ripped on the crowd, still most people where cheering him during this. He laid into the crowd more and eventually he got people to start booing him some. Match was another solid one, with the crowd really getting into Morgan as it went along. Rhino got the pin after a gore on Morgan. Post match he went to take Morgan out again with a chair, but got the carbon footprint again.

Intermission

Match #5: Kiyoshi/Bashir VS Lethal Consequences: Best match of the night and the crowd was really into it. Bashir cut a anti America promo before the match, which resulted in a ton of USA chants. Match had a ton of big spots, with Lethal and Creed doing dives to the floor a few times. LC got the win after a Lethal Combination from Lethal.

Match #6 AJ VS Steiner: Was suppose to be AJ taking on Joe, but Joe came out before the match and said he wasn't medically cleared to wrestle so Steiner would be taking his spot. Both Steiner and AJ came out to huge pops from the crowd. Match was another solid one with both guys hitting a ton of there signature moves. Steiner was great at working the crowd, and he was going to the apron and getting in everyone face. AJ got the pin after a flying foreman.

Overall a awesome show. Crowd was into pretty much everything the whole night, and post show I went and got my picture with AJ in the ring. Took awhile because the majority of the people there ponied up the $20 to do it. Would recommend anyone to see TNA if they come to your area.

2009 - WWE broadcast Smackdown.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

Chris Jericho comes out to the ring and we see the face off between Team Raw and Team Smackdown during the scheduled Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho match. Jericho says on Sunday his legendary status will be further cemented because in addition to being one half of the tag team champions and the face of Smackdown, he will be known as the mastermind of Team Smackdown after their crushing victory over Team Raw. Jericho says that his greatness is omnipotent. In order to shut up DX, he needs to tweak his team a little. He wants to know if the men on his team are worthy of standing in the same ring as Chris Jericho. Jericho says that they will prove their dominance at Bragging Rights, just like him and Kane will prove their dominance by beating Rey Mysterio and Batista.

Cryme Tyme’s music plays and JTG comes out and yo yos his way to the ring. He appreciates Jericho’s comments, but he is going to pass tonight. Jericho asks JTG where his partner is and Jericho suggests that maybe Shad is in jail. JTG says that Shad has the flu and he wanted to tell Jericho. Jericho says that it makes him sick that he has to be on the same team as JTG. Shad might have gotten the flu from the parasites and germ incubators, but he does not care. Jericho asks JTG if he knows what kind of an honor it is to be in the ring with him or stand up to his standards.

Before JTG can answer, we get a few Excuse Mes from Vickie Guerrero and she says that as the official consultant for Team Smackdown, it gives her great pleasure to introduce the future of Smackdown and her boyfriend, Eric Escobar. They come to the ring. Eric says that he heard a lot of talk on Monday from DX saying that they don’t know who he is. He says that after he leads his team to victory on Bragging Rights, they will never forget the name Eric Escobar.

Dolph Ziggler comes out and he throws out his own excuse me. He wants to get down to business. If anyone is going to be responsible for Team Smackdown winning, it will be him. He is not going to let anyone screw it up for him. JTG asks Dolph what he knows about winning because he lost his last four Intercontinental Title matches. JTG also talks about Dolph dumping Maria.

Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring. Drew says that he is the ace up the sleeve because he was personally picked by Vince McMahon and signed. Drew wonders why he wasn’t named captain.

Not to be outdone, Kane comes out to complete the Team. Kane says that as far as he is concerned, none of them deserve to fight next to him. Jericho agrees. Kane says that he advised Chris Jericho that since they are busy with Rey and Batista, the four of them should be busy tonight. Kane asks them if they want to be on the team. Jericho wants to know if they have the tenacity to be on the team and since one of the team members called in sick, he doubts it. Jericho says that they were going to have a ten man tag match since Raw had one, but there is a bigger twist than Monday. If they lose, they will be replaced by their opponents at Bragging Rights.

He cannot wrestle, box or fight anywhere else."   After seeing the attention, WWE would reach out to  Dana White about the idea but he would shoot it down.

Josh Mathews, standing in the grave, pushed the Buried Alive match.

David Otunga is now trending on twitter. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not, because if people are talking about the PPV online or following it online, that doesn’t necessarily mean they BOUGHT the PPV.

Of their recent PPV matches, this was the best of them. They put this together smartly, having them battle in the crowd and out of the ring instead of doing a straight-forward brawl. The style of match is all about the over the top nature of the gimmick and it worked here.

Josh Mathews interviewed Randy Orton and asked him if he was worried about John Cena costing him the title tonight. Orton said that Cena is confused right now but if he interferes, Randy is going to “drop him.”

For the second straight year, your winners, Team Smackdown!

Fun back and forth match. I really enjoyed this one a lot, especially the last few minutes. Having the guys wrestle in t-shirts was silly, but beyond that, they did a nice job with the booking, giving Reks and Jackson some strong spots before their eliminations, pushing the Mysterio-Del Rio issues, using Rey as the ultimate sympathetic underdog, positioning Edge as a strong babyface by having him save the day for the team when they were outgunned, and protecting monsters like Show and Sheamus with the only eliminations that weren't "clean." The wrestling ranged from OK to good but the overall story was very, very good.

WWE CHAMPION RANDY ORTON vs. WADE BARRETT (with John Cena)

Barrett took the mic and told Cena that if he didn’t “win the match”, he would be firing Cena tonight.

Orton took control early, nailing Barrett with punches, elbows and whipping him into the corner. Fans were chanting “Fire Cena.” Barrett tossed Orton to the floor, in front of Cena. Cena and Orton just stared at each other. Barrett was mad Cena didn’t take advantage.

Back in the ring, Barrett covered Orton for a two count. He worked over Orton and nailed a flying elbow off the middle ropes for another two count. Very slow, methodical bout so far. Barrett nailed Orton in the head for a two count.

Orton slipped out of Barrett’s finisher and began working over Barrett. Orton drilled him with the hanging DDT off the ropes and set up for the RKO.

Cena hit the ring and attacked Wade Barrett, hitting him with the Attitude Adjustment.

Your winner by DQ, Wade Barrett!

So, Orton retains the belt and Barrett “wins the match” so Cena can’t be fired.

Orton looked at Cena in shock, then nailed him with the RKO to get the big pop, then nailed another on Barrett.

The main event was decent, but nothing blowaway. Again, the storyline of the Nexus-Cena storyline was played as more important than what was going on in the ring, since that’s the long term focus.

2011 - WWE broadcast Raw.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

We are live from Austin, Texas and your announcers are Michael ‘The Sounds of Silence’ Cole and Jerry ‘Will Jim Ross be back Sooner or later’ Lawler.

Jerry and Michael talk about what happened at Vengeance. Michael discusses what the fallout might be. Then we see a photo of what happened to the ring after Big Show was superplexed. Jerry reminds us of the return of Kevin Nash and we see him setting up Hunter for a jackknife power bomb in Nash speed.

Hunter says that this is a tough business and he was taught real early by Killer Kowalski that you can either make friends or make money. He says that he has always lived by that credo in this business. Hunter says that he thought he was the lucky one. He made money and had success as well as having his share of friends. Hunter says that he thought he had guys he could count on when the lights went out in the arena. Hunter mentions Shawn Michaels, Sean Waltman, Kevin Nash.

Somewhere along the way, things changed and money became more important. Position and power became more important. As Hunter got in the position of power, some of his friends were there for a reason. Hunter says that he thought that Nash was there for his whole life and then Hunter says that he saw everything change. He saw what was important to him. Hunter throws up the Cliq hand signal.

If John cannot do that, Hunter will go to his house and find him. He doesn’t care if it is a mall or airport, but he will be arrested for what he does. Hunter tells John to find Nash again and offer him the biggest contract he can so Hunter can kick his ass.

John tells Hunter that he is being unreasonable. John wants to work this out.

From out of nowhere, Nash hits Hunter with the Slowhammer. John tells Nash to leave and it almost looks sincere. Nash pushes down some security who do their best to hold their hands up to make sure that nothing else happens.

Referees and medical staff come out to check on Hunter.

He respects the fact that John has achieved so much with so little.

John says that doesn’t suit him and Punk is not suitable for a WWE title shot. John will take another week to think about it.

Paul says that some suggest that Ryback is a Punk eating carnivore. Paul says that Miz took his beating like a man instead of Dolph Ziggler who kept running away.

Miz asks Paul if Dolph losing is a sign for CM Punk on Sunday. Paul says that one has nothing to do with the other. Ryback is an athlete with unprecedented power and he does everything with bad intentions. To survive Hell in a Cell, it requires intelligence, cunning, and strategy. Alberto is interrupted by Darren Young and Titus O’Neil. Darren asks if he heard Alberto correctly. Titus says the last time they checked, they never had a problem with Alberto and Alberto never had a problem with them.

He does not know how much is going to be left after Sunday but Rey Mysterio will be back next week. 2012 - Ohio Valley Wrestling held a TV Taping.  Trent Van Drisse filed the following live report:

Here's the Ohio Valley Wrestling Television taping report for October 24th, 2012, which will air in Louisville on October 27th.

This show featured King Mo making his first appearance in the Davis Arena at a TV taping, with Spike TV having a camera crew on hand here to film Mo tonight. In fact, taped on the front door, and on the ticket counter, was a long legalese note telling us peasants that Spike TV is here getting footage for an upcoming program that will be called the "King Mo Special", and that if we agree to sit in the crowd, we agree to possibly appear on Spike TV, and agree not to try to get paid for it. The King Mo Special? Sounds like a menu item at Denny's.

So what exactly did King Mo do at the Davis Arena tonight? Read on..The other main thing on this show was Rob Terry pinning OVW heavyweight champion Crimson in a non title Fatal Four way.

Christopher "The Prince" Bolin announced on his Facebook that he was leaving OVW for the time being, just a few short weeks after his father, Kenny Bolin, announced he was leaving. So OVW is suddenly Bolin-less.

Get well wishes out to Randy Royal who is undergoing a minor heart procedure today.

Here's an interview "Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jessie Godderz did with ESPN.com
http://espn.go.com/blog/playbook/trending/post/_/id/9834/jessie-big-brother-godderz-on-signing-wrestling-deal#comment

Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey, & Michael Titus were the TV announcers tonight. Terry Boddie was the ring announcer. The attendance was around 140. Ring announcer Ron Hed has been absent for a few weeks now, so he too could be another recent departure from this promotion.

1. Ryan Howe & The Mobile Homers(Ted McNaler & Adam Revolver) w/Brittany DeVore beat Jeremiah Plunkett, Ace Hawkins & Raphael Constantine in a 6 man tag

Dark match. Rocker Ryan Howe & the bumpkin Mobile Homers teaming up? I'm reminded of Donny & Marie Osmond singing "I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit rock-n-roll". How's THAT for a nerdy and dated reference? Howe and the Homers got then win when the Mobile Homers hit their double team spear spot on Ace Hawkins.

The TV taping opened with OVW Heavyweight champion Crimson coming to the ring in street clothes. Crimson complained about Rob Terry attacking him in the parking lot, calling it a "crime". Crimson has the ability to be passable on the mic, but he's really weak as a storyteller. Doug Williams came out, looking confused and concerned, and asked Crimson if he'd seen "Smooth" Johnny Spade. Seems that Williams fears him. Williams said he did Crimson a favor by attacking Spade to get him off Crimson's trail, which was when Williams turned heel, and now Williams wants Crimson to do him a solid and get Spade off his his trail. Crimson wasn't down with that, saying that wasn't the deal they made. About this time Rob Terry came out to the floor, being held back by referees and OVW Director of Wrestling Operations, Trailer Park Trash. Doug Williams left the ring, only to be attacked by Johnny Spade on the floor. A big brawl between Crimson, Terry, Williams and Spade broke out, until TPT yelled at everyone to stop, which they all did, instantly. Wow, these guys are obedient!

TPT said to settle this tonights TV main event will be a Fatal Four way, but he really stumbled over his words trying to spit that out. Crimson wanted to know what was in this for him? TPT said if Crimson wins, he will get a free pass and not have to defend his OVW title at the November 3rd Saturday Night Special. The other three wanted to know what was it this for them? TPT said if any of them beat Crimson tonight, they will get a title shot against him on November 3rd. Rob Terry said "But I'm already the #1 contender". Such logic was lost on TPT, who went ahead with the plan anyhow.

Backstage "The Best Team Ever"(Jessie Godderz & Rudy Switchblade) asked Dylan Bostic who his mystery partner would be to face them tonight, telling Bostic it can't be his girlfriend Taeler Hendrix. Bostic would not spill the beans as to who it would be.

It was now that King Mo appeared in the Davis Arena, taking a seat in the crowd, where he stayed for the rest of the TV taping. The Spike TV cameras filmed him for the first little bit of it, but that was it. Mo seemed to be having a good time watching the show, smiling a lot, and the guy has charisma just sitting in the crowd around garden variety wrestling fans.

2. James "Moose" Thomas beat Stephon Smith AKA SWAG

This was the first match of the TV taping. Moose took the mic before the match saying it was weird being here without Michael Hayes. Hayes last week announced he was retiring from pro wrestling due to old scar tissue breaking open from his war injuries. Moose beat Smith quickly with the "Moose kick".

Alex Silva was backstage getting ready for a match when The Wildcards(Shiloh Jonze & Raul Lamotta) came over to bug him. Silva said tonight was his rematch against Cliff Compton for the TV title, Compton cheated to beat Silva to win that title last week. Silva warned the Wildcards there would be big trouble coming for them if they interfere with his match tonight. Uh Oh.......

Meanwhile elsewhere backstage, Terry Boddie interviewed Brandon Espinosa. Espinosa talked about the humiliation Jason Wayne laid on his friend Chris last week when he wasn't here, and that Espinosa was planning a party for the returning Paredyse tonight. Paredyse then joined the interview wearing a "Hello Kitty" backpack.

3. Alex Silva beat Cliff Compton by DQ, but Compton retains the OVW TV title

Silva gave Compton a Flair Slam off the top to get this going, while Compton was still wearing his jacket and the TV title belt. Silva then beat on Compton on the floor. In the ring Compton sidestepped a Silva Surfer attempt, which is Silva's finisher. Something happened then, and this match fell apart to a sizable degree, and never really got back on track. Compton pulled the 'ol Tennessee chain from out of his boot, which was what he used to hit Silva with last week to win the TV title, but this week Silva kicked Compton's hand, and caught the chain in mid air, which looked fakey as Hell. Like I said, this match went off the rails for some reason. The Wildcards then ran out and attacked Silva, causing the DQ. Didn't seem like Compton was closely aligned with the Wildcards though, he left quickly. The Wildcards were stooges for Crimson, but it seems like maybe they've been moved away from him too, not sure. It was strange. Sam Shaw made the save for Silva. I see a tag match coming soon. Silva used a lot of punches this match, and that is not a strong part of his repertoire. In fact, I don't really see where Silva is improving in any area of his game.

4. Dylan Bostic & Eddie Diamond w/Timmy Danger beat "The Best Team Ever"(Jessie Godderz & Rudy Switchblade) in a non title match

Bostic was in the ring alone before the match, and without Taeler Hendrix at ringside, when a video played on the sceens of the Eddie Diamond & Timmy Danger "Suckah of the week". They teased it would be Josette Bynum, but then they named both Godderz & Switchblade as the "Co-Suckah's of the week". BTW, say "Co-Suckah" real fast three times and see what ya get....So Eddie Diamond was Bostic's mystery partner. It was all Godderz & Switchblade early, until they once again began arguing and having communication issues. Their ship badly needs a captain. In the end, Diamond pinned Godderz with a neckbreaker. The whole finishing sequence here was clunky as hell, a mess really. Godderz seemed especially lost during it, so two matches in a row here where things fell apart. I was confused anyhow, I thought this was supposed to be a tag title match, it was instead non title. So I guess Bostic & Diamond will now get a title shot? Hell, who knows. I don't think I've ever seen Eddie Diamond win a match, and he here he pins one of the tag champs. It's feast or famine kids!

Out to the ring came Brandon Espinosa & Chris, along with three Vampire-ishly dressed cheerleaders. The same three ladies that just come out with whoever here I guess. Espinosa brought out the guest of honor, Paredyse. They threw some streamers around while "It's raining men" played. Even King Mo was shaking his head at this weird stuff. Finally Jason Wayne came to the floor saying this was disgusting, and I'd have to agree with that sentiment. Wayne said the likes of Espinosa & Paredyse would never have been allowed in his military. Wayne said the rules of war are there are no rules. At this point former Bolin Services 2.0 members Jack Black & Joe Coleman ran out and attacked Paredyse & Espinosa. Wayne later gave them both big boots to the head, leaving them laying. Wayne said his hero was General Patton, wow I thought I was dated, and said Patton always had an Army with him, so now he does too. The crowd seems oddly cold to Paredyse since his return. He was off a few months to appear in "The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity" play in Washington DC.

Backstage Josette came out of the restroom with yet more of Trailer Park Trash's favorite bathroom coffee, only to be met by OVW Women's champion Heidi Lovelace. Taeler Hendrix joined the fray, and a huge argument ensued. Lovelace pinned Hendrix against the wall, and put her arm against her throat, causing Hendrix to choke and gag. Bynum offered Hendrix some of the bathroom coffee, which she took a sip of, and then spit back out violently. Ok, THAT was funny. Trailer Park Trash tried in vain to settle this down, as the screaming and decibel level increased to ear bleeding levels. This segment at least had good energy to it, as unwieldy as it was. Lovelace defends the Women's title in a three way against Bynum & Hendrix on November 3rd.

5. Rob Terry beat Crimson, "Smooth" Johnny Spade, and Doug Williams in a Fatal Four way by pinning Crimson

TV main event time. It was every man for himself here, and most of this was two guys fighting in the ring, while the other two battled on the floor. It wasn't thrilling stuff though, pretty mundane. Things did finally pick up very late in the bout when Johnny Spade gave Doug Williams a wicked kick to the back while Williams was going for his rolling German Suplex finisher on Crimson. Rob Terry then hit Crimson with a jumping spinning round house back kick to get the duke. Yes Rob Terry really did that. Looked like a kick RVD would use. So Terry is the #1 contender, and will face Crimson for the OVW title at the 11-3 Saturday Night Special. OVW is funny, Terry was the #1 contender both before and after the match, so what was accomplished? Even funnier is it was supposed to be Crimson vs Terry at the October Saturday Night Special, but that didn't come off when both guys got other bookings for that date, so they did the match at a TV taping instead, with Crimson cheating to win to retain the title. So now in November they're supposedly gonna do it again at the Saturday Night Special. A funny bunch here, I tell ya....
Dean Hill said both before and after the taping that "something special" would be taking place after the intermission, and asked the crowd to stick around, so I arranged for a top secret source to stick around, but then nothing special happened. Darn you Dean Hill! I mean there was a post taking dark multi-womans tag match, involving the Blossom Twins, but I wouldn't call that "special". My guess is maybe they taped some more with King Mo and wanted it to seem like a crowd was there for it. Like I said, a funny bunch here indeed.

Well, this show didn't make King Mo lose his smile, but it didn't let me ever find mine. An "eh" show at best. Not good would be more accurate. Send any feedback to tvd65@hotmail.com

We are back with the contract signing from Raw.

We go to credits.

2013 - TNA broadcast Impact Wrestling.  Stu Carapola filed the following TV report:

Welcome to the Impact Wrestling Report here on PWInsider.com!

We start off with a look back at Bound For Glory, where AJ Styles overcame the odds to win the TNA World Title. Tonight, AJ has to defend against Bully Ray in an immediate rematch that was ordered by TNA President Dixie Carter!

Speaking of Dixie, she comes out to the ring to kick the show off in the middle of a big celebratory setup for AJ Styles, complete with a WELCOME HOME AJ STYLES banner in the background and pictures of AJ all over the ring. Dixie says she might have made a little mistake in the way she treated AJ Styles, and wants to welcome back the man who literally overcame all the odds to win the title, and she invites AJ Styles down to the ring. Dixie encourages the fans to cheer for him and says she spent the last six weeks motivating him to victory after this slump he's been in. She's here to help him, and AJ said he was going to make her pay, but she is ready to pay because it's all good. He gets a fancy private dressing room that's almost as good as hers, it's got lobster, cavier, and fine wine (she says she knows he doesn't drink, but she loves the stuff). She gives him a watch that she knows she gave a certain ex-General Manager who shall remain nameless, but she bought it off Craigslist and now it's AJ's, and then she unveils a convertible and tells AJ to picture his new long hair blowing through the wind. She asks AJ if he's ready to move forward, and AJ asks if she expects him to be on Team Dixie, but he sees that it's all a manipulation by Dixie Carter and he's not buying it. This isn't what he meant by making her pay, and this redneck is a truck guy so that car won't work for him, and AJ has earned everything in this business, and he doesn't want his own dressing room to separate himself from the boys. This mess could have been solved months ago, but she bet against him and she lost. Dixie sees that he is still a little upset about Sunday night, and she may have stepped out of line a little bit when she called for the rematch for the title tonight, but AJ doesn't have to do that tonight because they can get on her private jet, get out of this godforsaken town, and go somewhere fun. WILL AJ GO TO THE RANCH??? Dixie just wants AJ's agreement that they can work through this together, and if he does that, she'll cancel the rematch tonight.

Bully Ray's music hits and the former champion comes out with Brooke in tow. AJ shoots him a dirty look as we go to commercial, and we'll find out what Bubba has to say...NEXT!

We're back and Bully Ray says he didn't come all the way here to see Dixie give away his title shot, but AJ says to shut his mouth because he's the champion, Bubba's the challenger, and he'll get his turn. AJ says that if Dixie thinks for a second he's getting on her private jet to go to Dixieland, she's dumber than he thought she was. Maybe the rematch clause applies to people who are under contract, but he's not. However, he came here to defend the title because that's what a champion does, and he's going to beat Bubba in this ring and there's nothing he can do about it. Bubba tells AJ that he's not fighting Dixie Carter, he's fighting him, and the one word that sums up his victory at Bound For Glory is lucky. AJ got lucky because there's no way in hell a kid like him could ever beat a man like him. It was all Earl Hebner's fault because he kicked out after the Spiral Tap and AJ knows it, but that old bastard with his two blind eyes didn't see it and kept counting, because that's the only way AJ could have beaten him. Bully's tired of hearing himself talk, so he's going to tell him how it's going tonight: he's going to beat the piss out of him, he's going to beat him, he's going to take the title, and he's going to send AJ back to his ugly wife and three ugly kids because AJ is a boy, and Bubba is a God, and if God was a bully, he'd be him. AJ says not to be concerned about his family because Bubba's family, Aces & Eights, couldn't help him at Bound For Glory, and they won't help him tonight. He's going to beat Bubba, he's going to go celebrate with the fans, hold the belt up, and ask Bubba if he knows who he is. Bubba suckerpunches AJ with an uppercut to the ribs, then he takes one of the AJ posters and bashes AJ with it before picking up the easel it was on and beating on AJ with it before trashing the rest of the set. Bubba goes to powerbomb AJ, but the lights go out and Ken Anderson's music hits! Anderson runs in and goes face to face with Bully Ray, who hesitates before taking a swing at Anderson and leading to a slugfest between the two men. Anderson gets the advantage and goes nuts unloading on Bubba, battering him until we go to commercial.

We're back, and Ken Anderson is still in the ring and says that he really missed the fans. The crowd cheers for Anderson, so he asks if that means they missed him too, then says that he really, really, REALLY missed Bully Ray. He asks the fans if they think he missed him, then shows off how strong his neck feels. Anderson says he's been sitting home for the last couple of months watching the product and sees what Bubba's been doing, says he's been sick and tired of it, and asks the fans if they're sick and tired of it. The fans cheer affirmatively, so he says that since everyone's sick of Bubba...oh wait, Dixie comes back out with Atlas Security and says that he's not welcome in her ring, and tells Atlas to put the cuffs on him. Anderson goes "You're into handcuffs?" and fights a couple of the security guys off before voluntarily letting the last two cuff him and lead him to the back.

We go to Mike Tenay and Taz, and they tell us about how we'll hear from Kurt Angle a little later tonight. Speaking of Kurt Angle, we see him arrive at the building before going to a video package showing how Lei'D Tapa helped Gail Kim win the Knockouts Title at Bound For Glory. Gail and Tapa come out to the ring, and we'll see Gail in tag team action...NEXT!

Gail Kim & Brooke vs Velvet Sky & ODB

Tenay points out how ODB lost the Knockouts Title without getting pinned as she drags Brooke into the ring and pummels her. ODB with the Bronco Buster in the corner, then Brooke tags Gail and rolls out to the floor. ODB goes after Gail, but Brooke drags ODB under the bottom rope and slams her onto the floor. She rolls ODB inside and Gail begins unloading on her and takes her down with a single leg, then Brooke tags in and gouges at ODB's face. Brooke takes ODB a bit too easily while dishing out punishment and gets shoved across the ring and tags in Velvet Sky, who cleans house on Gail and hits her with a running neckbreaker for 2. ODB spears Brooke and they go out together to the floor, and the referee is distracted by Gail trying to bring a chair into the ring and doesn't see Lei'D Tapa come in and knock Velvet out with a big boot. Gail drops the chair and comes back inside to cover Velvet for 3.

Winners: Gail Kim & Brooke

The Bromans are backstage and are ready for the biggest celeBROtion ever, and they go nuts spraying their hair. Okay.

Ethan Carter III vs Dewey Barnes

Okay, so they're just going to set Carter up with tomato cans because his "Aunt Dee" is stacking the deck. Okay. Carter easily manhandles Barnes, then drills him with a running Yakuza kick in the corner. EC3 stops to smirk at the crowd, then slowly picks him up...and takes a series of jabs and running forearms from Barnes. Barnes hits a missile dropkick and makes a cover, but doesn't even get a 1. Carter quickly gets ahold of him and hits the front DDT for the win.

Winner: Ethan Carter III

That's a nasty move, and another easy win for Carter, who gets a mic and confirms that he is indeed EC3, a Carter...and the world needs them.

Kurt Angle will speak...NEXT!

We look back at Magnus defeating Sting at Bound For Glory and then blowing him off afterward, then we go to a meeting earlier today between the two of them where Magnus apologized for not giving Sting the respect he deserves. Sting wonders if he passed the torch or lit a fire under Magnus, but Magnus says it's Sting's world and he's just living in it, then shakes Sting's hand.

We take another look at this past weekend as Kurt Angle declined his induction into the TNA Hall of Fame to set a new standard, then promptly lost to Bobby Roode. Speaking of Angle, he comes out to the ring with a big crazy smile on his face to address the fans. He says that this past weekend was tough for him to forget, because for as nice as it was for his peers to say all those nice things about him, but he has plenty left in the tank and he'll gladly accept the honor when he's ready to hang it up. His match with Roode was one of the most physical of his life, he did take a toll on his body, and he did knock himself out with that last move. Bobby Roode comes out and gets right up in Angle's face and says it's pathetic to hear him come up with excuse after excuse. The reason he turned down the Hall of Fame induction was because he knew he couldn't beat Roode, and it was a wise choice because Roode beat Angle right in the middle of the ring. He lived with a feeling of failure for two years after he lost to Angle in the main event of Bound For Glory 2011, but now it's Angle's turn to have that feeling of failure because the It Factor defeated the Olympic gold medalist. Angle tells Roode that he may be one bad SOB, but he's not better than Angle. Angle says he's not going to make any excuses, but he'll challenge Roode to a match right now. Roode looks fired up and asks Angle if he wants to wrestle him right now, then he tears his jacket off and says he'd love to wrestle Angle right now...but he can't. Actually, Angle can't because of a bit of information he hasn't shared with everyone. Roode shoves a doctor's note at Angle and reveals that Angle tore the cartilage in his knee and isn't cleared to wrestle tonight. As much as Roode would love to kick his ass again here tonight, he's simply not allowed. Angle says Roode is right, he's not medically cleared to wrestle...but the doctor never said anything about a fight. Angle jumps Roode and unloads on him with right hands, but Atlas Security jumps in and pulls them apart, standing between the two men while having to hold them back from killing each other.

Bully Ray is backstage and asks Knux and Wes Brisco if they see how selfish Ken Anderson is since he didn't come back to make amends with his brothers, he came back for revenge on him. Anderson only cares about himself, this is what he's tried to tell them all along, and he needs the two of them to go make sure Anderson doesn't post bail, and while they're doing that, he'll take care of the redneck and get his title back.

Dixie Carter is on the phone yelling at someone because she needs some unspecified thing done like yesterday while her assistant tries to hand her a water bottle.

The Bromans come out with the TNA World Tag Team Title and have a whole party set up in the ring, complete with champagne, chips and dip, and their vrey own DJ. Robbie asks us if this is a party or what bro, then informs us that Sunday night was the biggest night in bro history. The crowd chants that they can't wrestle, and Jessie shows he's learned how to react to stuff like that by holding his title belt up. James Storm & Gunner interrupt and come out to the ring and kick the DJ out, then steal the Bromans' alcohol and protein bars. They let Robbie keep his little sister's skinny jeans, and the other thing they'll let them keep is the shortest tag title reign in history, because they're beating them next week. Bad Influence comes out and Kazarian says they don't know what in the Wide World Of Sports is going on, but they see two bros with one brain, a drunk cowboy, and a pretend Viking, but they're the best team in the business because they want a title shot so they can become the World Tag Team Champions Of The World a third time. Daniels says the problem he has is that they have the wrong type of beverages for a real party because everyone knows beer is for the lower class, and only pretentious posers drink champagne. If you're going to drink a gentleman's drink, you celebrate with an appletini. Storm, takes the appletini and takes a sip, says it doesn't taste like beer, and tells Gunner to get rid of it. Gunner throws the appletini in Daniels' face, and a brawl between the three teams breaks out. Joseph Park and Eric Young run in and Daniels smashes a wine bottle over Park's head, but Park is busted open and...well, we know what happens next. Park morphs into Abyss, chokeslams Jessie, and chases Bad Influence to the back.

AJ Styles & Bully Ray are backstage, and they're...WALKING! The title rematch is up...NEXT!

We're informed that Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode will face off next week in another Bound For Glory rmatch, and then...IT'S MAIN EVENT TIME!

TNA World Title Match: AJ Styles vs Bully Ray

Bully Ray interrupts Jeremy Borash during introductions and kicks him out so he can introduce himself, but AJ attacks him in the middle of the introduction and jump starts the match. AJ is a house of fire as he takes the fight right to Bubba, gets a snapmare and hits the indy kick. AJ with the sweet ass dropkick right in Bubba's face, and he wastes a lot of time playing to the fans before going back after Bubba and charges right into his elbow. Bubba unloads with a series of jabs, but stops to grab his junk before hitting the Dusty elbow and AJ hits Bubba with the Pelle kick and rolls him up for 2. Bubba catches AJ coming off the ropes and pops him up for either a backdrop or a flapjack, and I couldn't tell which because AJ basically came down on his face and started grabbing at his shoulder as we go to commercial.

We're back, and Bubba is doing the Hogan ear thing, but leaves himself open to a flurry of punches from AJ. They hit a double clothesline and both men go down, but Bubba is up first and cranks a bearhug onto AJ. Mike tells us not to miss next week's Halloween themed episode of Impact as Bubba misses an elbowdrop, then AJ and Bubba trade chops before AJ just rips Bubba's head off with a clothesline, hits a spinkick, then springboards into the ring with a forearm for 2. Bubba blocks a fireman's carry, picks him up in one of his own, and hits a fallaway slam for 2. Bubba goes to the second rope, AJ nails him and goes for a top rope Frankensteiner, Bubba shoves him off and goes for a senton, but AJ moves out of the way, heads out to the apron, and goes for the springboard 450. Bubba saw it coming and moves out of the way, then covers AJ for 2. Bubba sits AJ on the top rope, AJ tries countering to a tornado DDT, but Bubba shoves him off and tosses AJ right on top of the referee, who goes down in a heap and doesn't see Bubba tap out when AJ catches him in the Calf Killer. AJ releases the hold and goes to check on the referee, but Bubba gets ahold of the chain and nails AJ with it. Bubba hits the Bubba Cutter and makes a cover, but AJ gets the shoulder up at 2. Bubba picks the chain back up, but Anderson runs back out, snaps Bubba's neck over the top rope, and AJ gets a crucifix and pins Bubba to retain.

Winner: AJ Styles

Terrific main event! Bubba looks shocked and stares at Anderson, who charges back down to ringside to trade punches with Bubba. Atlas Security tries to separate them, but doesn't have much luck as they keep going back after each other.

We go backstage to Dixie Carter, who is holding a contract for AJ Styles that she says is full of Dixie Carter's money. She says she's going out to the ring, and orders us not to go anywhere. Whatever you say, Dix!

We're back as Dixie Carter is in the ring saying that she thought AJ Styles wanted the things she offered him before, and she spent the whole night talking to her attorneys, and she has a contract for him that is full of everything AJ could ever want. Because Dixie is so sweet, (she holds up some keys) she'll give AJ the keys to that car so he can take the Mrs out on a date. She wants AJ in TNA, she wants him to sign the contract, and she wants to put this mess behind them and move forward. AJ takes the contract and hesitates as Dixie tells him to trust her, AJ nods and says that this is an amazing contract...by a horrible human being who uses people to pad their bank account to buy fancy cars and million dollar homes on the blood and tears of every man and woman who has ever stepped into this ring. She didn't believe in him months ago when he didn't have a contract, so as far as this contract goes (he crumples it up, wipes his ass with it, and tosses it on the mat in front of Dixie). He says he's not done yet because it wasn't about the money, because money can't fix her problem. She doesn't respect him, the title, or the boys, and he says that he'll make her pay because the World Title is his title, and he's taking it from her because he's leaving since the people deserve a champion, and he's taking it to them. Dixie tells AJ it's not his to take, so he comes back, takes the keys, and says he'll take the car. She yells after him where the hell he thinks he's going, and tells him not to get in the car. He gets in the car anyway, fires it up, and speeds off while holding the title belt over his head.

Etherington slips on a takedown attempt and Lashley gets back control, Lashley attacks Etherington with a ton of ground and pound until the fighter taps out.

Fight Result: Bobby Lashley def. Karl Etherington by submission via strikes (1:31, R1)

7. Carlito and Hernandez went to a double countout as they brawled all over the place.

8. Bronco #1 & Mighty Ursus with El Magnete Juan Manuel Ortega defeated Invader #1 & Mr. Ray-tings Ray Gonzalez after the referee was distracted by Invader and Bronco who were brawling outside which provided an opportunity to Hernandez to come in and hit a spear on Gonzalez who then was pinned by Ursus. After the match was over the 4 of them continued to brawl in and out of the ring for a few minutes, which was done in order to help get more attention for the WWC Anniversario event in Caguas, which is the main show of the three day tour.

2015 - Roderick Strong defeated Jay Lethal to win the ROH Television championship in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

2015 - WWE NXT ran the Aftershock Music Festival in Great Britain.  Dave Q filed the following live report:

Meet and Greet was Finn, Alexa Bliss, Emma, and Samoa Joe. A second signing session of the day listed on the website was cancelled for unknown reasons.

Enzo and Cass, accompanied by Carmella, beat Jordan and Gable. Cass's knee still seemed injured (kayfabe). Huge audience pop with both tag teams to start the show. Massive chant along to Enzo and Cass intro. Enzo got the crap beat out of him for awhile until Cass came to the rescue. Some good action overall, but could've used more Cass.

Elias vs. Bull Dempsey was next. Match felt sluggish compared to opening match. Most of NXT fans in attendance seemed indifferent to Elias and I heard some NXT fans asking who he is.

Bayley vs. Alexa was next. Bayley got a huge pop, being only 2 hours from her hometown. Her family was there to cheer her on. Good energy and a fun match, but her last 2 matches with Sasha really cast a shadow over her feud with Alexa. Bayley won, of course.

Baron Corbin vs Samoa Joe was the afternoon main event. They rushed the front row of people in the left rampside seats out and sat Corey Taylor from Slipknot there. He got recognized quickly and got a "Corey Taylor" chant, to which chanted "Corey Sucks" in between. He was very friendly and took photos with fans. Samoa Joe shook his hand after entering; Baron Corbin talked some smack to him and kept coming back. At one point Baron gave Corey his tee shirt and told him he would autograph it for him later. This was one of the better Corbin heel performances I've seen, but he still didn't have massive heat with the audience. Corbin threw Joe into the stairs in front of Corey, Baron got in Corey's face and Corey slapped him. That got the biggest audience reaction of the match. While Baron was dazed, Joe got the advantage and threw him back in the ring for the pin.

Evening session opened with Dillinger vs Apollo Crews. Apollo started doing the 10 hand gesture after moves and even used Dillinger's printed 10 sign at one point. Dillinger acted like his feelings were hurt for most of the match. Apollo Crews won.

Next up was Emma vs. Carmella. Carmella got a solid pop coming out, but the match was just okay. A few drunk metal heads also were shouting "take your tops off," which killed the feel good vibe (and there were a fair number of kids there). Match went on way too long and because of similar looks and ring gear it was hard to tell who was who for some of it. Carmella ultimately tapped out. Sexist, drunk metal heads thankfully left shortly thereafter.

Next up were the Vaudevillains vs Dash and Dawson, who were wearing their newly won Tag Team championship belts. Vaudevillains were massively over, D & D had some heat at first but really won the crowd over with their heel turn when one would talk to the audience from the corner (while the other wrestled). For instance, they did the forehead to forehead pep talk and hugged at one point. Audience went "awww!" and Dash or Dawson shouted "we are both comfortable with who we are!" The match went on a few minutes too long, focusing mainly on beating up Gotch. All 4 men were in the ring for a stretch, which was the high point. In the end, D & D retained the belts by way of a pin.

Evening main event was Tyler Breeze vs. Finn Balor. Great surprise that Breeze showed up, given his Smackdown! debut this past week. This match was fantastic. Started with Breeze dancing around to avoid Finn making any contact. After a minute the action got going and it was a tight 15 minutes of evenly paced back and forth. Ref got knocked out and Tyler had Finn pinned for an audience 3 count. On his second attempt a replacement ref ran into the ring but it was counted as a kick out on 2. At one point Tyler was so frustrated the walked back up the ramp to leave and Finn chased after him, fighting their way back from the ramp to the ring. Finn ended the match with his usual finisher. Crowd was standing for most of the match. It was really good and felt like Tyler and Finn knew this might be their last time in the ring together for the foreseeable future.

All in all, a fantastic first day. Roster in attendance was hanging out and taking in the festival, so it was common to see the NXT Superstars wandering, sometimes being given high fives in passing. Some of the people I met said they came to Aftershock just for NXT, but this was definitely the first exposure for many concertgoers.

2015 - CHIKARA ran Jeffersonville, Indiana.  Patrick Brandmeyer filed the following results: Ophidian & Shynron defeated Drew Gulak & Orange Cassidy ... Prakash Sabar pinned Farmer Frog ... Lucas Calhoun & Missile Assault Man beat AC/DC (Arik Cannon & Darin Corbin) ... Blind Rage defeated Eddie Kingston ... Juan Francisco De Coronado & The Proletariat Boar Of Moldova beat Jakob Hammermeier & Soldier Ant ... Blaster McMassive pinned Chuck Taylor ... Icarus, The Throwbacks (Dasher Hatfield & "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti), & Princess Kimber Lee defeaed Grand Champion Hallowicked, Campeones De Parejas N_R_G (Race Jaxon & Hype Rockwell), & Young Lions' Champion Heidi Lovelace.

2015 - The Superstars of Wrestling Fanfest held an event in Rome, GA.  Larry Goodman filed the following live report:

The Superstars of Wrestling Fanfest returned to Rome, Georgia on October 24 with the third in their series of annual events.  The wrestling part was a home run in terms of delivering the show their fans wanted.

The by-the-numbers booking worked beautifully for this situation. The legends and superstars were all showcased in the best light.  This year’s show also provided the best pure action of any of the Superstar events in the form of Davey Richards vs. Jimmy Rave, a three way with Caleb Konley vs. John Skyler vs. Corey Hollis, Carlito vs. Chip Day and the hardcore main event between Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards. The local indy guys were spread across the show and kept their stuff short so as not to impede the momentum.  The excessive manager interference got repetitious, but was not a major problem  in the overall scheme of things.

The event ran like a well-oiled machine was over in 2 and ½ hours, which was a striking and welcome contrast to last year’s marathon event.

Attendance at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds was 600+, standing room only. I really liked the venue, an open air pavilion. It was perfect fall night for an outdoor show.  The lighting was outstanding.

The show drew an old school type crowd – popping huge for the legends doing their signature spots, hot at the heels but not in a smart ass way, and they were fairly discerning about the wrestling.

Preshow:  Terry Lawler & Crash Test Dummy defeated Frenchy Riviera & Arden (with “Playboy” Phil Heffner). Heffner turned babyface during the match. Frencby decked Heffner and was about to use a chair on Lawler when former WCW star Air Paris hit the ring in street clothes. The reunited Team Extreme (Lawler & Paris) gave Riviera a double DDT and CTD pinned him with a diving headbutt.

(1) Gunner & Cody Roberts & Drew Adler & Dustin Bozworth  defeated P Dog (Mike Posey) & Owen Knight & Beautiful Bald Besties (Michael Stevens &amp; Zac Edwards (with Merica) in 8:30.</b> Oscar from Man on a Mission rapped.  P Dog’s response had more of an edge to it than usual.  That brought Ron Simmons out at a loss for words…except for one, which got a big pop. Merica got involved to start heat on Adler. A train of big moves ended with Gunner spearing Knight for the win.  A totally solid opener.

(2) Lamar Philips (with Lionel Lucas Lazarus) defeated Chris Ganz in 7:25.  Empire ring announcer Gabe Walters fainted in the ring as he attempted to introduce the match. Turned out he was OK as he stayed at the announce table for the rest of the show. Lazarus cut a promo hyping his Lazzercise exercise system complete with VHS tape.  Lazarus hit Ganz with the VHS behind the ref’s back, and Philips pinned him with a spinebuster.   A passable match, clearly not at the level of the opener. The finish was a groaner.

Superstars of Wrestling CEO Shawn Ambrose interviewed Nikita Koloff, who joked that his English had improved a lot since his wrestling days.  Koloff broke out his Nikita voice for a bit.  Heffner rudely interrupted the proceedings.  Ambrose noted that Heffner was a perennial thorn in his side.  Heffner said Ambrose had taken the Fanfest from the nicest building in Georgia and brought it down to fairgrounds next to cow dung.  The insults continued until Nikita laid Heffner out with the Sickle, drawing a huge pop. Nikita talked about becoming a born again Christian and said he was ministering in Dalton, Georgia on Sunday morning.

(3) FIP Champion Caleb Konley defeated Corey Hollis and John Skyler in 10:56.  Konley hails from nearby Cartersville and got his start in Georgia as Black Pegasus. Skyler dominated in the early going and was getting a ton of heat.  There was boatload of cool spots in this match.  Skyler had Hollis in the Indian Deathlock when Konley hit a springboard moonsault and all three were down.  Konley countered Skyler’s sliced bread with a tombstone piledriver. Hollis broke it up and hit a standing sliced bread on Konley for a near fall. Hollis tried for a top rope rana, but Konley rolled through, hit a buckle bomb and finished Hollis with a fireman's carry Michinoku Driver. Best match of the show and the crowd fully appreciated what they were seeing.

(4) Sunny Daze (with Dr. Shane Gamie) defeated Chris Lightning via submission in 7:34.  Daze is DDP Yoga disciple James Dylan doing a gimmick as a deranged mental patient.  Lightning had Daze pinned with a sliced bread, but the good doctor put Daze’s foot on the ropes.  Gamie then distracted referee Spanky Emerson, allowing Daze to use the Gamie’s cane on Lightning’s throat, and apply a cobra clutch. They had a tough act to follow, and the crowd took it for what was and didn’t get overly excited.

Postmatch, Daze taunted the crowd and said enough of the old guys in the back. That brought Diamond Dallas Page out to the biggest pop thus far. Page smacked the crap out of Daze's smart mouth and teased a DDT before laying him out with the Diamond Cutter. Dr. Gamie received the same treatment. Page put the "Resurrection of Jake the Snake" documentary over, mentioning that Steve Austin said it made a tear roll down his cheek.

(5) Priscilla Kelly (with Chip Day) defeated Kiera Hogan in 5:45.  While these two women still have a way to go in the ring, they have a come a long way in a very short time.  Kelly appeared to nail Hogan right in the mouth with a basement dropkick.  Hogan tried for a running bulldog, but Kelly shoved her off.  Day tripped Hogan up and she was pinned by Kelly.

Day was about to piledrive Kiera when Carlito hit the ring for a big pop. As Carlito helped Kiera from the ring, Day attacked from behind leading to…

(6) Carlito defeated Chip Day (with Priscilla Kelly) in 9:51.  The boo birds were out for Day when he distracted the ref so Kelly could choke Carlito. Day delivered a stiff kick from the apron and implored the ref to count Carlito out. Day did insolent girl spot – pulling on Carlito’s arms while standing on his Afro. Carlito mounted a full-fledged comeback with the crowd behind him. Kelly jumped on the apron, but Hogan pulled her down and started wailing on her.  The girls got in the ring.  Day went to spit the apple in to Hogan’s eyes. Kelly got in instead, and Carlito hi the backcracker on Day for the pin. Good match. Day got heat. Carlito worked hard.

Postmatch, Carlito took a curious look at Kiera’s booty.  Can’t fault him there.

(7) “The Butcher” Bobby Hayes defeated Murder One (with Steve Dave) via DQ in 4:15.  Dave said Murder was 6-6, 260 and a former NWA World Tag Team Champion. He was correct for the most part. Seasoned veterans that knew to keep it short, do just what was needed and nothing more.  A brawl from the get go. Hayes  leveled Murder with a lariat, and Dave jumped in to break up the pin.

Postmatch, Hayes (who grew up in Rome) decked Dave and told Murder to bring his butt to UIW in Temple on October 31 and they would finish it there.

(8) Jimmy Rave defeated Davey Richards to retain the Georgia Wrestling Crown in 17:50.   Angelina Love accompanied Davey but did not stay at ringside. After absorbing 5 minutes of pure hell from Davey, Rave used the ref as a shield to get the upper hand.  Rave countered a figure four with a poke to the eyes.  Rave delivered the STO on the ring frame with Davey beating the 10 count at the last split second. Davey hit a superplex, and Rave had to grab the ropes to avoid being pinned. Davey&nbsp; hit the double stomp (that he tried for early on and missed) but Rave kicked out. Davey got the figure four applied and Rave made the ropes.  Referee Emerson got bumped. Rave went for a belt shot. Davey ducked it and got the figure four locked in again. Rave tapped but Emerson was still down. Davey revived Emerson and Rave caught him with an inside cradle. It was the quality wrestling match as you would expect from these two.

(9) Tommy Dreamer defeated Stevie Richards in an Extreme Rules Match in 12:08.  Guest ring announcer “Crying Wrestling Fan” Dave Wills did his “it’s still real to me” catch phrase. Stevie and Dreamer both came to the ring with kendo stick. Stevie is in amazing shape.  They traded holds early on.  Dreamer busted out the flip, flip and fly and got a Dusty chant.  They brawled into the crowd and made a nasty mess dumping trash barrels all over each other. Dreamer rang the bell on Richards’ nuts. Stevie returned the favor. Dreamer threatened to gouge Richards’ eye out with a screwdriver. Stevie worked over Dreamer’s knee and got the figure four. The crowd chanted “Tommy”. Dreamer rallied back. He bit Stevie and said it tasted like hair gel. Stevie gave Dreamer the drop toe hold onto a chair ala Raven and brought a table into the ring. The crowd popped for the table. Stevie used the kendo stick on Dreamer’s knee, but Dreamer ended up using the stick for the side Russian legsweep and put Stevie through the table with a Death Valley Driver. Fairly safe as hardcore matches go, while still giving the fans everything they wanted out of the match and sending them home happy.

Afterward, Dreamer said October 28 would mark his 26th anniversary as a pro wrestler, and it was all he ever wanted to do from when he was 9 years old watching Georgia Championship Wrestling.
