WWE MOVIES ON THE NETWORK, BEST ECW PPV OF ALL TIME, VIDEO LIBRARIES AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2015-10-23 10:00:00
Why doesn't the WWE Network use the WWE movies?

WWE doesn't use the WWE Studios films as there are different distribution agreements for each that prevent the company from just throwing them on the Network. I think eventually, we'll see some of that material added, but there's more money to be made with them on cable, Netflix, DVD, etc.

It's been some time since we've heard of WWE acquiring new video libraries. Do you think they are done with buying new libraries?

No, because I'd be shocked if there wasn't a library right now they haven't had some form of communication about, even if it's not something that's leaked and we've heard about. There are a lot of libraries floating around and WWE owns a Network that is always going to need new content. To think they are done acquiring libraries forever is silly.

We see New Jack pop up sometimes on the independents, but where's Mustafa?

The last I've heard of Mustafa, he was living in Las Vegas.

I'm reading some old ECW results and there was a UK wrestler named The Dirt Bike Kid. Who was this guy?

Dirt Bike Kid was a young UK indy talent who booked Sabu overseas for shows he promoted and that somehow led to him coming in to work a few shots for ECW. I don't think he had a long tenure in the business.

Did Matt Brock write the foreword for Bill Apter's book?

Very funny. He did not. Jerry Lawler did.

Best ECW PPV of all time?

Heatwave 98. None of the other PPVs ever came close to capturing the feel of what it was like to be at a ECW event live and in person, in my opinion.
