CATCHING UP WITH PARAGON PRO WRESTLING: TWO WEEKS OF TV REPORTS

By David C. Hayes on 2015-09-04 08:58:15

It’s 8-22 and Paragon Pro Wrestling returns from Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada!

Another 6:05 am and POP TV intros with AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”. PPW is next!

As always, your announcers for the evening are Todd Kenely and Jeff Akin with Pat Kelley handling things backstage. The six-man tag team match promised weeks ago is tonight. In a stunning move (and based on his actions last week), Graves has been suspended indefinitely. Kross will fill in so we will have Prince, Kross and Konley vs. Gangrel, Right and O’Shea tonight!

Pat Kelley talks to our tag team champs, Hammerstone and Chamberlain, and they let all of us know that they finally have a team name: Murder by Muscle. With that, we hit the ring.

Match #1: Hammerstone and Chamberlain vs. Mercurio, Jr. and Ethan HD for the PPW Tag Team Championship

The champs attack before the bell. It rings and Hammerstone goes right into abusing Ethan HD. HD hits a head scissor to tag in Mercurio. Chamberlain and Hammerstone keep Mercurio cornered. Mercurio sticks Chamberlain with a beautiful huracanrana and tags in Ethan HD. HD manages to get a few shots in before hitting the razor’s edge for the win.

Winners: Hammerstone and Chamberlain… Murder by Muscle!

A new round of commercials gives us an ad for Xarelto. Better yet, Remy Martel and Hammerstone star in the newest Voodoo Donut commercial… eat on, Las Vegas!

Match #2:  Espiritu vs. Suede Thompson

In his debut, the spry Suede Thompson goes toe to toe with the luchadore. The action is fast-paced and Espiritu gets over a bit. Suede fights back and hits a 619. Suede Thompson goes the top and comes crashing down with a 450 splash for the pin.
Winner: Suede Thompson

Match #3: The Challenger vs. Crash Test Cody

Crash Test Cody, a local favorite, faces the masked Challenger but doesn’t manage to get too much offense in. Much like the car wreck he’s named after, CTC falls victim to the 1-2-3 after a Challenger back suplex.

Winner: The Challenger

We see the history of Konely, Sorenson and Brisco… again. The same video plays each week.

Match #4: Tyshaun Prince (w/ The Cuban Assassin), Kross (w/ Christian Cole) and Caleb Konley vs. “The Gentleman Brawler” Eric Right, Gangrel and “The Irish Juggernaut” Mikey O’Shea

Kross starts, but Prince blind tags in… we start with some major animosity. O’Shea comes in and Kross returns the favor to start. Right tags in and gets in trouble quickly. Konley tags in. The heels are tagging frequently and effectively. The fight quickly devolves in a Pier Six Brawl. O’Shea takes a dive and the big man bowls over everyone on the outside of the ring.

Back in the ring, Right manages to get a sleeper on Prince but Prince reverses the hold into a Power Bomb for the win!

Winners: Tyshaun Prince, Kross and Caleb Konley

After the match O’Shea, Kross, Konley and Wright give chase to the back leaving Gangrel and Prince.

Gangrel hits a DDT on the floor to Prince as they brawl and uncovers what is supposed to be a coffin.

Prince comes to and, like all big men in the business, he is deathly afraid of anything that sort of resembles a coffin. As he backs off, Gangrel wants to get to some fanging and banging and challenges Prince to a coffin match.

Even as The Cuban Assassin holds him back, Tyshaun Prince agrees and it’s on for next time!
