JIMMY SNUKA CHARGED WITH MURDER

By Dave Scherer on 2015-09-01 14:30:09

Pennsylvania’s Allentown Morning Call is reporting that Jimmy Snuka has been charged with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter for the death of his girlfriend, Nancy Argentino, back in May of 1983.

Snuka had wrestled for the WWF on May 10, 1983 at a TV Taping at the Allentown Fairgrounds. When he got back to his hotel room, he said that he found Argentino gasping for air and oozing yellow fluid from her nose and mouth. She died on May 11, 1983 with the autopsy stating it was due to traumatic brain injures. She also had a number of cuts and bruises which suggested domestic abuse. The report stated her injuries were consistent with being hit with a “stationary object”. The forensic pathologist suggested that the case be invested as a homicide but no one was ever charged.  Snuka denied he did it and has continued to do so for years.

An investigation was reopened last year when the newspaper published an in-depth story on the alleged murder, including running the autopsy from the death, which labeled it a homicide. Argentino's sister Lorraine has, for years, led a crusade to get Snuka charged with the crime.

Snuka, who is 72 years old and battling stomach cancer, was arrested at his home in New Jersey this morning and was arraigned earlier this afternoon. He was then sent to county jail after bail was set at $100,000.
