'PROFESSOR' ELLIOT MARON LAID TO REST TODAY, MARON'S INVOLVEMENT WITH PRO WRESTLING PROFILED

"Professor" Elliot Maron, a longtime staple with professional wrestling in the Northeast and a big utility player behind the scenes for the WWWF, down to personally transporting TV tapes following tapings in Pennsylvania, will be laid to rest this morning in Springfield Gardens, Queens.

Maron's servies will be this morning at 10:45 AM at Old Montefiore Cemetery (121-83 Springfield Blvd) in the Springfield Gardens section of Queens, NY.

Mike Mooneyham of The Post and Courier in South Carolina published an excellent article about Maron's involvement with the business with quotes from Maron about the "Grand Wizard" Ernie Roth helping him get in, having the first-ever pro wrestling radio show in the NYC market and much more.
