WHY VINCE WOULD WANT THE TNA LIBRARY, WHAT THE DIVAS NEED TO START DOING ASAP, STING VS. ROLLINS AND MORE

Are Stephanie's verbal annihilations of talent purely to massage her own ego, or do they serve a purpose? So far we've seen her decimate the likes of Daniel Bryan, Sting, Paul Heyman and AJ to little or no response from those individuals. Rock was allowed a measure of facing-saving at WM31, but he still walked away looking weaker than Stephanie in my opinion. She doesn't even sell the limited rebuttals afforded to her victims, and in the one match she had, she won. So what's the point? Aren't villains supposed to get their comeuppance?

She is playing a role so I don’t blame her. But yes, villains are supposed to get theirs. Since she is a woman, men can’t hit her in the storylines so it limits how they can achieve that. They go with “her plans were foiled” but I agree, it’s often not fulfilling at all.

I have watched this season of Tough Enough and had a few observations/questions. I have heard Paige (who I really like) state that it became a popularity contest and this was also stated in a Q&A here on 8/26. My question then becomes this,... Isn't all of wrestling a popularity contest of sorts? It takes the product being popular with fans to have people pay for tickets and merchandise. Ratings are determined by popularity, see the Monday Night Wars ratings for example. Even Paige is popular, people like her. My other observation is how the trainers "crapped" on Sara Lee's big moment of winning by saying they all felt her opponents should have won. It seemed like they should have let her at least have that moment to enjoy. Your thoughts?

Sure, anything that involves someone else appreciating your performance in order for you to successful definitely has the element of popularity in it. What I take from the “popularity contest” statements is that those voting are leaving out the “does this person have what it takes to be a successful wrestler” element out of the equation. Sure, ZZ was fun to watch on this show but he has no chance of ever headlining WrestleMania (we saw that in his work ethic, or lack thereof). That is what people mean. And yes, Sara should have had her moment in the sun.

I saw a question on a recent Q&A asking if you think Vince McMahon would own the TNA library eventually. My question would be why would he? I can’t see them pushing TNA content on the network and they aren’t exactly littered with ex TNA talent to use it for either?

Of course he would buy it. He wants to own all of the footage that he can and it makes perfect sense. They would want it because: 1) More potential footage for The Network and 2) When making compilation DVDs, they would have more footage to choose from.

After Bayley's journey to NXT gold, a perfect example of how to book a story so that the title means something, is it not insane that the Divas title has yet to be defended during this 'revolution'? I feel the crowd lost interest at Summerslam and then turned against the girls on Raw due to the meaninglessness of the 2 tag matches. I feel the revolution is in trouble, with the new girls being portrayed as no better if not worse than the Bellas, surely a title change or at least match would steady the ship?

YES! You are right on the money. They are so concerned with having Nikki Bella break AJ Lee’s record for holding the Title that they are killed the Revolution, or lack thereof, in the process. Those women should have all come up gunning for the Divas Title, not doing pinkie swears. NXT gets it. WWE doesn’t.

The live crowd at Raw seemed to be really into it, but I can't understand why Sting will be receiving a match with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He's had one match in WWE which he lost and he seemed to make peace with Triple H after that contest. Don't get me wrong, it's cool to see Sting in a WWE ring after all these years, but I think it should be in special attraction matches against fellow part timers and attitude era holdovers and not in the main event scene. Is this hurting the current roster or does it help establish Rollins by having him beat a legend?

It was a surprise for the Brooklyn crowd, and a great one. I see why they popped. WWE is trying to sell Network subscriptions and Sting in a Title match should do that. I don’t think it hurts the current roster at all. I just look at it as a bonus.
