A DOUBLE STANDARD FOR CENA AND ORTON, HOGAN VS. VINCE, JOE VS. CORBIN AND MORE

I'm really interested in seeing Corbin vs Joe at NXT Takeover Brooklyn (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) it should really only help Corbin as a working progress, Though should there be a certain outcome that has to happen? Would either of them be hurt by the loss (with NXT's booking I wouldn't think so). I would predict myself, Baron C goes over.

I would expect that Corbin goes over. Joe’s role is to be a teacher in the ring and get the guys ready for the main roster. I don’t see what they get out of having Joe win, but if Corbin wins a hard fought, athletic contest it should help elevate him.

Do you think there is a double standard with the fans when it comes to Cena and Orton? I mean Orton wins just as much as Cena but nobody complains at least not as much as when Cena wins.

Not really. Yes, Orton does win a lot (and probably more than he should at this point given the rub he could give to younger guys if he lost to them) but Cena has been booked to chew guys up, spit them out and then down the card far more than Orton has been.

When Cena made Rollins tap on Raw, any possibility that there was an on-the-fly change to help Cena get out of the ring sooner with his broken nose? Or was it actually booked to have Rollins tap on Raw? Noticing Michael Cole's couple blunders of "Cena pinned the champ on Raw!" And it just got me curious.

That was the finish. They did it to set up the SummerSlam match. If Rollins were booked to go over at least semi-cleanly, there wouldn’t be any reason for Cena to get a rematch.

Given the recent uproar about Hulk Hogan's comments and WWE distancing themselves from him in all ways, do you think Vince McMahon deserves the same treatment due to this? https://youtu.be/9n1Q8xBUKDE

In a word, no. Was the sketch in poor taste, with Vince dropping an N bomb? Absolutely. But there are a few things to consider. It was booked as a skit on a TV show, where a character uttered a line (in this case to show how clueless Mr. McMahon had become). Two, racism was a topic in the national narrative the way it is today. And most importantly, Terry Bollea, in private, made the statements you referenced. They weren’t written lines.

As a huge ROH fan, I loved the match between Jay Briscoe and Jay Lethal for both the World and TV Championships. I am wondering if WWE saw how great this scenario was and worked it into their storyline with Rollins and Cena. Also, wouldn’t it be awesome for a cameo appearance by Jay Lethal and Truth Martini should Rollins win, a tease between the promotions for a future confrontation. Not going to happen, I know but the drama could be epic.

If WWE did, they sure wouldn’t admit it! I know they keep up to date with what other companies are doing however, so I would be surprised if they didn’t know about it. And yep, no way we see a cross-promotional angle. There is nothing in doing it for WWE.
