TAMMY SYTCH FACING THREE DUI CHARGES, ORDERED TO TRIAL AFTER NO-SHOWING HEARING

By Mike Johnson on 2015-07-31 08:46:53

WWE Hall of Famer Tammy "Sunny" Sytch is facing three sets of DUI charges in Pennsylvania (where she now resides) and will be going to trial for a 5/30 arrest in Mahoning Township, PA after failing to appear in court for a hearing this past Wednesday.

In that case, Sytch was charged with general impairment, driving under the influence, driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, and careless driving. Authorities are in the process of obtaining a bench warrant for her arrest and she is scheduled to be arraigned in court on 9/3.

Sytch was arrested on 5/30 at 1:32 a.m. in Mahoning Township, PA after driving erratically into a Wal-Mart parking lot and being pulled over by authorities. Her blood alcohol level was three times the legal driving limit at the time.

Sytch was also arrested on 6/1 in Towamensing Township and then again on 6/20 in Towamensing after she crashed her car. Sytch has a hearing scheduled on 8/19 regarding the 6/1 arrest for charges of DUI, driving without a license, failure to stay in her lane of traffic, and careless driving in that case.  Charges related to her 6/20 arrest are still pending as of this writing.

Following a string of arrests in late 2012 and early 2013, WWE, which had put Sytch through several attempted rehabilitation stays via their Wellness Policy, opted to cut Sytch off from further services. After Sytch publicly discussed WWE's decision during a DVD interview with Kayfabe Commentaries, WWE issued the following statement to PWInsider:

"As part of the Former Talent Rehabilitation Program, WWE has sent Ms. Sytch to rehabilitation numerous times, with all costs covered by WWE. Unfortunately, Ms. Sytch has continued to make poor personal choices and is ultimately responsible for the consequences of these decisions. WWE has always provided rehabilitation at a certified treatment center; however, given Ms. Sytch’s inability to change her lifestyle and successfully complete treatment, WWE will no longer fund her rehabilitation."
