The 2015 Mid-Atlantic Fanfest opened yesterday at the University Hilton in Charlotte, NC. This will be the final Fanfest for the Queen City, although one has been announced for the first weekend in March 2016 for Myrtle Beach, SC.

There are 60 wrestling students from as far as Austria taking part in the Fanfest's annual training camp with Lance Storm, Dr. Tom Prichad, Nigel McGuinness, Les Thatcher and Rip Rogers heading up the training.

Jimmy Hart held a special musical performance yesterday. Lance Russell joined Hart on stage and was having a great time being there. For those who asked, here was the set list:

Keep on Dancing
Cinnamon Girl
Monday Night Memories
Lance Russell's Nose
Eat Your Heart Out Rick Springfield
Hart Foundation theme with lyrics
Honkytonk Man theme

Legendary announcer Bob Caudle has been in the hospital with a health issue and will not be attending this weekend's event.

Famed referee Tommy Young, who is in attendance, announced he will not be officiating this weekend due to a hip problem and may be in line for a hip replacement.

The documentary "Mid-Atlantic Memories" had it's premiere screening last night.

Jim Ross held his one man show, which I saw for the first time and I can't recommend it enough.

Jim Cornette closed out the evening with a live taping of his podcast which will be available later today on MLW.com with Les Thatcher, Tom Prichard, Tommy Young, Rip Rogers and Bobby Fulton appearing.

On the docket for today's Fanfest activities are Jim Ross hosting an Ole Anderson Q&A, a Rob Van Dam Q&A, autograph and photo sessions and the 2015 Hall of Heroes induction banquet.
