The WWE stock closed at $19.36. It as up $2.88 a share (17.48%) for the day. Obviously, that was due to WWE’s great second quarter numbers.
John Cena has been pulled from WWE’s graphic on their website for tomorrow’s show in San Diego, CA. He is still listed for the Saturday and Sunday shows but given the state of his broken nose, I would be more surprised if he worked them than if he didn’t. Working with a broken nose is just asking for trouble. They need him as healthy as possible for his match at SummerSlam (most probably against Seth Rollins) so they need to be smart with how they use him leading up to that event. Cena’s break was said to be bad and needed extensive medical work to set.
To anyone that didn’t understand why WWE distanced itself from Hulk Hogan last week, I hope you understand why now. His actions left them no choice.
